I have just put 950 pro in my 5510. But I couldn't install the Dell Windows 7 on it (with an external DVD drive). I had an error message saying there was a missing driver. I tried to play with the Bios setting, putting in it AHCI mode, and UEFI, I tried to boot from the DVD or tried an installation from Windows 7 on the hard drive, I also tried to put the DVD iso on a bootable usb key, and always the installation failed.
Then I tried a regular Windows 10 DVD, and the installation worked without problem. I don't know what is the problem with the Dell Windows 7 DVD. Since there are some configurations sold with Windows 7 and the M.2 SSD, I suppose it should be possible to succeed the installation but could not figure the problem.

Edit : this page explains the problem. Too late for me, I have W10 installed so I will keep it.

I just tried out BIOS 1.1.15, and the only way I could get it not to blue screen on login (i.e. boots, but crashes on log in screen, or right after logging in) on Win 10 was to disable BOTH graphics (intel and nvidia) chips via safe mode. Tried various things like latest intel and nvidia drivers. In the end, gave up and switched back to 1.0.7 version. Anybody managed to get 1.1.15 to boot with full graphics?

I just got a 5510 in that was ordered with only a 2.5" HDD. The M.2 drive went right in and worked without issues. No BIOS flashes or anything. This rumor can now be officially considered debunked (or horsesh*t).

I also ordered with the 2.5 HDD and installed the 950 pro with no real issues. You're gonna need the screw to install it and getting some 2mm thick thermal pad is a good idea. I cloned the drive with samsung's software and had no problem with Windows 7 or anything else so far.

Also, ECC RAM will not work. I tried it, system won't even attempt to boot with it.

Dell rep dropped by today and had the new docks with him. I took a few pictures comparing the size of the new docks to the current E dock and old D dock for comparison. Sorry for the potato quality of the photos, I did not have my DSLR at work.

The large dock is exactly the same height and exactly half the width of the Precision E-Dock. It is the same height and about 2" less wide than the smaller Latitude E-Dock. The D dock is huge in comparison.

The large dock and both E-docks are 2.5X as tall as the smaller new dock.

Both docks were much smaller than I was expecting.
