    Someone from Dell called today and said that while they can't honor the 15% coupon (since I ordered the M6400 Sunday evening) they are willing grant me a concession of $150 (purchase price of the laptop was $1,779 before shipping and taxes). So while it's not quite 15%, I went ahead and took it rather than go back and forth with them in the middle of my work day. I still think the policy is BS, because if I can return the laptop within 21 days, they should grant me a price adjustment during that same period if they come out with coupons/sales/etc. But I don't have the time/energy to go back and forth with them on it. I'll be happy to post my impressions of it this weekend (it's scheduled for a tomorrow delivery).

    p.s. - I guess if I was really unhappy about the coupon situation, I could just refuse the UPS delivery. But again, I have other things to take care of, so I'll just take the $150 off and move on.

    man thats a really good deal. im assuming you're talking about the m4400 right?

    can you run some battery tests when you get it? im curious to see how much of a battery life hit it takes with the QX9300 and FX1700

    im contemplating getting a QX9300 to replace my P9600 sometime in the future if i can pick one up cheap

    i think at the moment its still gonna be out of my budget. i was thinking of getting it a year or two down the line.....or maybe another non X quadcore thats compatible...

    im wondering though, what the battery life will be like with a 45w chip
