Im not getting the Advanced Controls in the IDT applet. Its only giving me "Enable Power Management", "Enable Jack Monitoring" and "Show System Tray Icon". clicking the Advanced gear/wheel looking icon thing does nothing..

    Any ideas.??

Same here regarding the advanced button. See this thread.

Perhaps we'll see some functions in the advanced setting on version A16.:D Dell likes to give us something to look forward to.

Im actually surprised there wasnt more threads/post about this issue? Is everyone actually happy with just a plain old driver??

The reason why i just came across this problem is because i just unhooked my external soundcard. Im going a different route (wireless utilizing onboard IDT).

    wth?!!

If you are using Vista then the standard Vista audio driver is considered to be preferable to the Dell IDT driver.

    Not that I know of.

The latest driver turns on bass when you plug in external audio, which is a major step improvement.

Dell recently added an SRS Premium sound application to the E6400 downloads which makes a little improvement. Check the M6400 downloads. It only shows for me if I select the All Downloads list.
