I'm having difficulty closing the deal in EPP, I just cannot get enough value out of the E6400 to make it worth the purchase.

So I am asking, does ANYONE know of a way to find a coupon or other discount that is stackable with the 12% EPP off and the 4% DPA/DFS off?

I have been able to bargain down the laptop price by $50 on top of that, but...I want to make sure that is the best I'm going to be able to do.

I tried that one, and it is only good for Inspiron, XPS, and Studio systems.

Actually, though the online ordering system(s) don't let you add that coupon, I configured an E6400 over the phone a couple days ago and the rep let me add that coupon on top of my 12% EPP (though she had to do it manually). I'd definitely say give that a shot if you've got the time.

I'll be. I shall try it tomorrow. 5% of a little more than the $50 I was offered initially. Perhaps I can get both :D.

Would this be possible with the M4400? The dell rep told me no...but maybe he said that because the M4400 isnt latitude?

I don't know. Fortunately, I have now found that the T400 pricing is much more favorable, so I am going to use that as leverage in my next few calls.

    That worked PERFECTLY!

I had to pull the dirty Lenovo T400 trick, but in the end I was able to shave off enough on the order. I think the additional savings AFTER TAX came out to about $95-100.

I had to go with a fairly high specification to get Dell to bargain, but the price is fantastic and it is worthy of my budget :D.

I'm going to attempt to shave just a little more off by removing one or two add-ons I ordered in the initial high-priced system now, but I do expect the guts of it to remain the same.

So thank you to both Commander Wolf and superduo for pointing me in this direction.
