Cant get audio out with DP->HDMI cable (E6400)

    The Vista driver should work if there's no 7 driver.

    I just want to follow up on this thread because I was searching for Audio over display port to HDMI recently.

    I purchased a cheap DP to HDMI cable from monoprice. Plugged it into the e6400, then into my monitor, and audio worked instantly without anything needing to be done on my part. I was able to take the SPDIF out from my monitor and run it into my mixer to verify that part worked as well.

    I'm still on vista business with the latest dell drivers from the site, with the integrated intel graphics.

    In summary: The E6400 can do digital audio out from displayport to HDMI.

    without a doubt, ive used it with several lcds and plasmas, the compitability issue is specificly with my tv...
