Anyone put an Intel 7260HMW 802.11ac MiniPCIe card in their Dell Latitude E6x20 or E6x30?

I didn't know that something showed up. I thought it didn't see the BT at all. Let us know what happens. I'd rather have nothing show up than something that I can't get to work.

Ok so I unplugged the Dell 375 bluetooth card and booted up. It still showed a generic BT adapter and still gave same error message. I then proceeded to try to find a driver. the Intel site was completely useless. I ended up downloading a driver from dell for the Latitude E7440's Intel 7260. It was called Intel Bluetooth 4.0 Software (not driver). Installed this and now device manager shows Intel Wireless Bluetooth 4.0 Adapter and a driver dated 6/13/2013.

BUT still get the same error "Windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems. (Code 43)"

So not sure if it is still a driver issue, or general compatibility issues with the E6220.

Doesn't really bother me, I hardly use BT and when I do, the onboard Dell 375 BT is more than sufficient.

Woo hoo! Latitude E6430 + 7260HMW = 802.11ac and Bluetooth. Didn't even have to install Bluetooth drivers. Windows found them. Funny that Windows does not show my wireless as 802.11ac (might not know about that) but it does show almost 600mbit. File transfers are decent speed. Did have to install the Intel drivers. I'm happy since the last service I had on my laptop the tech stole my Bluetooth card....so I have Bluetooth again.

I will have to remove the Bluetooth from my E6220 and put in the 7260 and see what happens.

    Intel drivers here.

    EDIT
Strike that on the Bluetooth. It shows up, but doesn't totally connect. I have had this info when the Bluetooth card is replaced.....it will see devices, appear to pair and then not connect. All Bluetooth devices will show up greyed out. I don't think this is a function of the card....but more of Windows. I had a Bluetooth card replaced once and no matter what I did with the new card, devices would never connect. I may throw in a spare hard drive and see if this will work with a fresh Windows install. Be nice to have this on one card.

Is this wifi adapter an upgrade from Intel N-6300? I don't mind Bluetooth functionality as much as improved range and speed. According to Intel webpage N-6300 has 3 antennae and this one has only two...

If you look a few posts back I mentioned my results going from a N-6300 to this AC-7260 all with the same linksys E3000 AP. Basically even with 2 antenna, the 7260 gets better reception in my situation than the 6300 did with 3 antenna. I get better range and better speeds. Places in my house where I used to get no useable signal with the 6300, I'm not able to get a signal strong enough to actually be able to get online on the 7260.

Fresh Windows install did not allow me to connect to anything via Bluetooth in my E6430. My guess is there is something in this card that is designed for either certain hardware or Windows 8.

I haven't been this happy since the Giants fell to last place. I installed the card on my E6220. I then installed latest driver. I have AC and Bluetooth working.

Update. Bluetooth mouse connects. Speakers and headphones don't because drivers not found. Bluetooth remote control in device manager has exclamation point.

Did you just the ProSet Wireless? Or something else for the Bluetooth?

I know I have seen Bluetooth show up when I rebuild a machine but it doesn't really work until I install some more drivers or application.

Bluetooth works with generic Windows drivers, but aspects of bluetooth are broken so that it doesn't connect to speakers and headphones. Bluetooth hands free audio is broken.
