1x4Gb? That would be nice. Would make going to 8Gb much cheaper.

Sorry to hear that you've have bad luck with your refurbished units, it seems that the outlet is filled with the ones that people have been sending back for build issues. The newly built machines don't seem to suffer from these problems.

If there is a way to tell in the outlet when the laptop was made/ordered, try to get a newer one.

The first night I got it I noticed the bent screen, so I called in to have it replaced. Then the next day I decided I didn't really want the laptop and was going to return it, so I called to return and they transferred me to some other department.

Yes, they sent the replacement before I sent back the original. I have both of them right now, but I will be returning both sometime this week.

I've worked with Dell's business support twice so far... this time and one other time 2 year ago when I bought a monitor. Both time's they've been great. When the monitor I bought new had a stand that slanted (was a common problem), they sent me an advanced exchange. Love em!
