Give me a little while to shut down my desktop. I need to finish up a few things there before I go finishing for the needed DVI cable.

Update: I'm going to have to do this tomorrow. Not feeling too well, I can't even see straight so I'm hitting the sack.

1920x1200 should be no problem with most equipment. 2560x1600 is another story as it will not run on VGA or single link DVI.

When a E6400 arrives tomorrow, I will test it with 3008WFP. I believe Displayport should be also capable of running this setup if E dock is only single link DVI.

E6400 via displayport does work with 2560x1600 (Intel 4500 graphics)

CorporateTraveller, you are the first one who confirms running 2560x1600 on the e6400 with intel x4500. Thanks! Did you use the e-dock or the port of the book?

I have spent months deliberating on whether to buy a e4300 or not...and found Notebookreview.com to be a great resource.

I have found one Refurbed....with the X3100 graphics..which is inferior to the 4500 graphics card to which people have referred to so far.

I have an E-port also ready to ship with the all the required ports but am unconvinced about the ability to run dual monitors with this basic graphics card.

    Can anyone help me out?

A google search of 'x3100 dual monitor' suggests that some people may have had problems with a dual monitor setup.

PS - I am looking run 2 20" widescreen monitors externally.

    Thanks!

In case anyone cares, I've run 2 x Dell 2408WFP (24" 1920x1200 LCD) on my Latitude D830, with the PR01X docking station. One on DVI, one on VGA. The internal display was disabled.

I've also run the same with an X3100-based setup. Worked just fine. Didn't try anything graphics intensive, but Vista Aero desktop worked just fine.

Probably not very good with 3D accel.

Thanks, I know that the D-Series dock fine. I am very curious about the E-Series, I feel like there may be a driver limitation on my Latitude E6400.
