    Hello!
    Anyone has made more tests gaming and all with the 3700 and the 3900 during long time, streaming or something? What are the temperatures when everything is set up gpu and cpu? I don't know which card to choose, more inclined for the 3900 pro for better perfomance overall and next gen ryzen 9 for only 42 euros
    some kind of video would be great..

    This worked perfectly. Ended up needing 0.95625v. So it can run CBR20 stable at 3.5ghz scoring ~7950 with temps at ~83C (19C ambient) and noise at 55dB, without any cooling pad.

    I wish I could find some place in the US that sells M471A2K43DB1-CWE. Would like to try 3200mhz RAM and JEDEC CL19 seems like the best right now. The HyperX 2666mhz CL16 I have right now has been very stable but it would be nice to see how the faster ram helps.

    I also noticed that switching off PCIe power savings helps with micro stutters while gaming. The same setting doesn't effect Intel CPU's nearly as much I think.

    I also really want to get a M.2 heatsink for my 970 Evo. Supposedly the EKWB one fits the P750TM but I should probably measure to make sure it fits the NH58 too.

    There's a good amount of info on the XMG variant in this Reddit thread. It's being regularly updated. They just posted this Youtube review, which goes over the performance and thermals a lot.

    Spent today applying the settings @Brian Crawford posted.
    Copied all Parkcontrol settings and set Zenstates to 36x @ 0,925v.
    Thats the lowest i can go without it bluescreening during stresstests.
    4125 points in cinebench r20 isnt bad at all for a fairly quiet system.

    Noise is a lot better now.
    Quiet when doing web browsing and manageable during gaming.
    When booting it instantly ramps up tho. That Bios is hot garbage.

    Now that i have removed clevo control center, is there another way to manage the backlit keyboard?

    @YardSnake , so glad to hear that the settings worked. Great voltage results. About the keyboard - yes! I forgot to mention - the Obsidian keyboard app is free and lets you pick your color.

    Awesome that it works :) crucial has a 3200cl16 kit so-dimm running at 1.35V. It is bas3d on Micron E-die which works really well on ryzen. Can you adjust ram voltage in bios?

    No bios adjustments. Everything has to be done in Ryzen Master or command line utilities. So JEDEC 3200 CL16 would be best. Supposedly those Samsung modules I listed before will be available starting in June.

    Thats the ram i bought and no, you cant.
    Not in BIOS, at least. Doing it in Ryzen Master probably works, but you have to apply it manually everytime you boot the machine.
    You can either buy the JEDEC Ram that XMG recommends, which is bad and it will take some time before some slightly less bad 3200mhzcl19 ram comes out, or you can just get some great Micron E-Die Ram and wait till we either get an XMG Bios with ram-oc/xmp or find a kind soul to mod the regular bios to unlock those options for us.

    We could dump the BIOS version we currently have and then we could ask if someone would mod it, but i dont think thats the best idea.

    The current bios-version has issues with certain m.2 ssd and certain ram-sticks, so updates are already in the works to fix that. So probably best to wait till those fixes are released.

    @Meaker@Sager You can change things and you can create profiles, but they only stay active while the program runs.
    You have to start the program, chose your profile and click apply everytime you boot.

    You can easily write a Task Schedule for that program for startup/login with the saved profile.

    Task Scheduler in Windows. Type "Task" in the star menu and it should be the first thing that pops up.

    You can create /schedule New Tasks from there

    Sure, but how do you make the task scheduler automatically apply a certain profile on ryzen master unattended?

    I do not have a Ryzen setup to give you the proper paths, but this is how I would approach it:

    Create Basic Task
    Give it a name
    Start "when I Log on" (Startup doesn't always work, but Logon usually does)
    Program/Scrip: Use your Profile save
    Start in the exact path for your Ryzen Master
    Finish.

    Re-open your task, and add a start delay is advised

    Sadly thats not how it works.
    Ryzen Master does save Profiles as files, but they dont work like a word document.
    You cant double-click them and have ryzen master automatically open and apply them.
    If it were that easy i would be fairly happy, but it just aint.

    Unfortunately that means you have to create a scrip in Powershell. This is harder to do, but by no means impossible.

    Actually AutoHotkey is easier for the uninitiated than fine tuning in Powershell I think

    This may be worth a try:

    Download AutoHotkey (its Free)

    Create a notepad file and name:
    RyzenMasterApplyProfile1.ahk (Save as "all files")

    Copy and paste the bellow and fill in your Ryzen master .exe file path:
    (from what I can tell on the internet, it should be: "C:\Program Files\AMD\RyzenMaster\bin\AMD Ryzen Master.exe" or similar)

    ; set Ryzen Master path
    RyzenMasterPath := "C:\Program Files\AMD\RyzenMaster\bin\AMD Ryzen Master.exe"
    SetKeyDelay 0
    ; open Ryzen Master
    Run, %RyzenMasterPath%
    WinWait, ahk_exe AMD Ryzen Master.exe
    WinActivate, ahk_exe AMD Ryzen Master.exe
    SendInput {ENTER}
    WinWait, ahk_exe AMD Ryzen Master.exe
    ; Apply Profile1
    SendInput {TAB 12}
    SendInput {ENTER}
    SendInput {TAB 10}
    SendInput {ENTER}
    ; delay
    Sleep 200
    ; Close
    WinClose, ahk_exe AMD Ryzen Master.exe

    Run this file in Program/Scrip selector

    Make sure to start with a delay in task scheduler

    From that German Review:

    "We would strongly recommend using Quiet mode in idle mode. Otherwise, the Apex 15 not only confronts you with a steep base level, but in the meantime also with completely exaggerated on-tour phases that generate more volume than many gaming notebooks achieve under full load. Quiet mode makes the Apex 15 reasonably tolerable (35 to 39 dB) when idling.

    We would strongly advise Clevo to tighten the power management and the fan curves again. In its current form, the Apex 15 feels more like a device in alpha or beta status and not like a final sales product (Schenker has already announced improvements upon request)."
    Yes, this is definitely the biggest downside of the laptop. It ships with alpha status emissions control. But, as we have seen in this thread, the problems can be addressed and the beast can be tamed. It just takes a lot of 3rd-party tools and tweaks, which shouldn't be expected of customers. I'm looking forward to BIOS updates and new Clevo software to do this officially, but I'm happy in the meantime now that I've found 3rd party tweaks.

    Yeah the platform is just not really designed for good idle levels, the APU does a much better job.

    Spent the entire day gaming and emulating to my hearts content now that i am done fiddling around with clockrates and voltages.
    This thing is an absolute gaming-beast.
    I tried Red Dead 2 and Witcher 3. The notebook remained quiet and unobtrusive throughout.

    So i wanted to see if it would stay quiet and perform well during emulation, so i tried Wind Waker HD on Cemu.
    I sat right in front of it and could barely hear it. Performance was brilliant throughout.

    It still has these moments when you hear the fans quickly speed up a bit and then it quiets down again, but the difference is night and day.

    Obsidian Fan Control is definitely a must-have tho. Without spending money on that the device is unusable in its current state.
    Thankfully Zenstates and ParkControl are free tho.

    What is the tdp/power voltage of the 2070 in this computer ?
    Maxed out, how high frequency is on GPU ?

    This is the RTX 2070 refresh with low voltage GDDR6, so it boosts higher than a regular RTX 2070 would and performance is very close to a RTX 2070 super.
    Performance is great.

    I am guessing the 3600 will still have fan noise issues at idle due to temperature spikes, but under load should have lower max TDP even at stock voltage. Luckily the 2070 is not an issue here with throttling or noise.

    That sucks. Really does, but oh well.
    The CPUs we currently have are pretty decent anyway.
    The limiting fator will be the GPU in most cases anyway, not the CPU.
    Will be a few years before i want something better.

    Ive only had this laptop for a couple of hours but O M G this laptop is a beast.

    My laptop is from Obsidian and has a 3700x, 2060(refresh) and 24gb pc2400 ram(suboptimal yes but will do for now).

    Ive tweaked the settings to achieve good framerates while staying silent, and the results are insane.

    Right now im running a bit sloppy undervolt, CPU 3.6ghz @1V(0.95V works but bumped it up for stability margins for now).
    I run the GPU at 812 mV and 1665 mhz core.

    I noticed the fans are basically silent up for 15% or so(just adjust slider and see where they start to make a sound).

    Im running Valorant at 2560*1440, 144hz, fps capped at 150(stays there, UPDATE: actually doesnt, drops down to 110-120 sometimes, but still good. Switched to 1080p since its a competetive game anyway).

    The laptop is barely audible, you would really have to listen closely to hear a sound from it. FPS capped and smooth as silk.

    Will continue tweaking it over time and post more detailed settings later.

    Ive got an issue with crackling/stuttering sound, anyone else has this? I installed latest realtek driver from clevo site. Got a crackling sound every 1-4 secs. Setting power plan to performance improved it but its still there. Anyone? Btw im running Win LTSC

    Do you have the Sound Blaster Cinema app installed? My speakers didn't work at all without it.
    Does the crackling occur on wired headphones too?
    Any specific apps it occurs in, like streaming audio in Chrome, or just everywhere?

    Both

    Well ive installed something sound blaster related thru obsidian driver updater, not sure what it was. Was just a install driver screen then driver installed. Cant find any sound blaster software thru start menu.

    Crackling is everywhere, with or without headphones.

    Any idea where i can find the cinema app standalone? Obsidian referred me to windows store but i use LTSC so i dont have win store(i consider it bloat)

    I mentioned having the same problem on page 7. I noticed that the crackling disappeared when Windows Update installed a new driver, but my audio quality was really bad. I installed a custom/hacked driver and all is well now.

    It was on the drivers CD that came with my barebones. I think it is a UWP app. I guess you got it fixed from the other post but I will post this here in case you still want it.

    Hmmm. The reseller should have given you a copy (or some place to download if not the original CD). The weird part is even though this is a driver, it's actually in the "Options" folder on that disc. I can make an image of it later today or tomorrow morning.

    I do think I am using the newer Realtek driver from Windows Update as well. Version 6.0.8858.1 in the Device Mangler.
