Apparently not with Metabox. Note his previous post where he said he would have to drive 200 miles to get it done by them.

Oh... At least HID shouldn't put customers to this kind of thing :)

IDK, I've seen quite a few things out of the ordinairy with Clevo lappys, but now I do understand what people mean when they say that even an ITX isn't quite that portable when compared to a Clevo lappy. At least I got the temps and perfs I wanted, but finding a backpack to carry CosmicStation will be at least fun and tricky

Ok so i've yet to get my premabios, And i still havn't removed the few peices of plastic (Going to ask if it voids warranty when im down their thursday) anyway.

Does anyone elses 1070s stay at their max boost clock or is it normal for them to come down to around 1600mhz? even when not throttling, A repaste with Arctic silver Ceramique, has gotten me to 76C and 71C (Gpu 1 and 2 respectivly) without back cover on in a gaming load, But 89 and 83C in a purely synthetic load (For a synethic load i use nicehash, I don't actually mine on my damn laptop, That's with the back cover off, With it on it's 90c/90C and throttling hard, With it off it sits around 1680mhz both)

Is it sitting on the table, or you have something beneath it to allow for better airflow?

I'd pull that plastic out anyway. I couldn't imagine that anyone would blame any damages to the mobo,CPU,GPU etc on that and deny warranty. Unless you know, you beat the plastic out with
    a hammer or something.
Removing that mess was one of the best things I have done to mine. My 2nd GPU loved it so much that it almost bought me lunch. Lol

In the SLI model, would it be possible to disable SLI and run with one power brick when you're not needing all the juice?

Also has anyone had issues with rivatuner crashing games?

That's what I did until my new Eurocom 780 came in. I disabled SLI. Went into device manager and disabled the 2nd card. And ran one brick. Two was way to much to carry around.
As for rivatuner yes. Warframe is a good example for me. I have to set the hot key to enable once the game has loaded and I have logged in. If not having it running while launching the game causes it to crash either at launch, or during. Something about it being running just as soon as the game launched it didn't like.

Thanks I was gonna run some tests tomorrow to narrow down the crash, but I'm more sure now you have had the same problem.

I've had no crashes for weeks then I clocked my gpu at the same time as installing rivatuner and now get crashes in every game I load into with rivatuner running.

Think I'll just stick to MSI AB and monitor my next gaming session, I want to see my highest temps.

That's all I use it for was the OSD to see my temps and utilization. Was reminded that it happens to me in Bf1 as well. If Riva is set to run just as soon as the game launches it crashes too. Aslong as I make it into the game (at the menu screen) I can hit the hot key for the OSD to appear and I'm good to go.

The backpack fits me really well, it doesn't fit my current case :)

I'm around 1.9m, around 95 KG, so I carry around 10KG in my backpack normally, but this case I am using now cannot fit in my backpack , Evereki Beacon, so I need a larger backpack to fit it :)

10 KG in a backpack is much less than 10 KG is on a trolley, especially when you factor in the fact that a trolley means your system gets subjected to bumps from the road, while on a backpack it is portected from such things

At least how I see things right now

I love Everki in general, they are an excellent company as far as I've been using them

The belkin slim 17 inch bag also just takes this beast, you have to move the corners in a bit carefully but then they sit round it entirely and provide good protection.

I got that thing too. Its not a bad sack other then the fact that there is absolutely ZERO padding around the top of the bag. This means that when you put this giant puter into it and the bag falls over or off a chair, the screen on your shiny new $4000 toy will most likely be broken. It just about happened to me while driving around with the bag on my back seat. I now strap my bag in properly with seat belts when I drive around. Some have mentioned this "sleeve thing" you can get to put your laptop in before you put it in the bag but that just sounds ridiculous.

I've had the titan sack for a few years and really liked it, but I changed to the trolley for this beast and I have to say the trolley has better all round protection for the laptop.

The trolley has the sleeve on top of the padded pouch. I'm not sure the everki sleeve would go into the backpack with this laptop in it. I could try I guess I still have the bag.

One plus to the sleeve is it' airport friendly so you can send it through the scanner in the sleeve.

It depends on the airport I have a 65% success rate so far even though it was designed for the scanners some security wombles won't allow it.

870 honestly is pretty small compare to the bigger laptops out there. ones like gt83vr/m18x R2. then beyond that theres acer 21x, HDX dragon. then acer9920g, clevo m590ke, xps m2010 etc.

@Papusan Brother Papu has been telling you about Vardar fans for a while

Just right now I tested Vardar Furious something something vs Cryorig XT140, which is a slim fan.

Currently the vardar fan is outside of my case, but vardar fan = 30C on idle, 70 - 80C on absolute load, while Cryorig idles at 40C and has around 85C on load.

Anyone happen to know what the max voltages the CPU fan header will allow? I remember seeing someone saying that it will kick into a protective mode if to much is drawn, but I can't find the post.
I've got the 12v fan printed. ( Used a motor from a 12v fav, and printed the blades, and shrouds) but I want to make sure I'm not about to let the smoke out of something for using the splitter to control both fans.

    @Papusan
What would cause the CPU fan to run wide open and it beep like hell , then all of a sudden it stops. And the fan slows down and everything acts normal. I never even got a chance to test this other fan out. Pulled the laptop out of my bag since getting home and this crap has been happening. It would shut down to begin with. Then it would just beep and finally calm down. But each time I reboot the laptop is does this now.

Pulled the laptop battery. Let it sit while I washed the kids... Started it back up, when windows loaded. It ramped up for a few seconds then acted normal, no beeping

Wellp.. same crap over and over. Beep beep beep beep fan wide open beep beep . Thennnnn it shuts down .

An ECU panic. One value it measures is critically out of expected range (fan speed, temps etc) so it's performing an emergency shutdown.

one of the primary 3 fans not plugged in. or if you're doing a splitter off 12v fan, poprostujakub listed table that primary cpu fan port only capable of max 0.7 amps. primary cpu fan + 2nd cpu fan can't hit over 0.7 or it'll cut the current down to 0.2.

Could this also spool up the CPU fan if there is a temp sensor or fan issue with a gpu?
I have noticed something odd. Control center isn't keeping my keyboard or backlight color. Aslong as i don't open it, and allow it to load whatever settings are there instead of my settings (automatic fan,and keyboard color) , I seem to be stable and no beeps or fan ramp. I tried uninstalling cc and rebooting and reinstalling. But for whatever reason if open it applies my settings yet again and I'm back in the same boat with the beeps and shut downs.
    Edit--
Would a bent pin possibly cause this ?
    Edit**
Wellp. Resat everything. Repasted. Pulled cmos battery, laptop battery. Fn-D , still F'd up.
Guess I'm going to cut my losses and order a motherboard and CPU fan from Eurocom .

It can be caused by any value(s) deemed critical, fan speed, power draw, temperature. It will be out of safe range either too high or too low.

no warranty on your new p870tm?

iirc the fan sensor needs to be connected or computer will beep and shutdown eventually but im already assuming its all connected the way its suppose to.

    Only on the CPU?...

Send it in, let them diagnose. If the cause is not something you damaged during that procedure, it should still be covered.

Also remember statutory warranty/consumer law has rights that cannot be overridden by private contract terms (such as the written warranty or those proxy 'void' stickers) so check with your jurisdiction's consumer bureau/consumer affairs/fair trading office so you go in knowing what your rights are
