I got one of these for work, well actually a PA70-ES from Origin PC. Does anyone know if it's possible to add a TPM chip to it or where I can get a replacement LCD cover for it? I want to paint the LCD cover but need to keep a cover stock in case I have to make it look stock again someday.

You cant add TPM AFAIK, your reseller should be able to source a lid or another local one.

Looks like it's a factory option on that model to have TPM but not something you can just put on later, and I doubt many sellers will take that option except in workstations.

Thanks for the replies. Another question: Can anyone recommend a laptop backpack that will safely hold this machine? I purchased a Swiss Gear 1900 series (TSA supported) bag. Supposedly it has an interior dimension to hold the laptop, but it's not even close, so back to Amazon it goes.

The Berlin slim 17 inch backpack has served me well.

I tried a few swiss gear bags that said they were big enough but really weren't. Eventually I found the Targus Voyager II bag which is plenty big enough.

Yeah going targus/Belkin is usually a safe bet on sizing.

If it's the stock paste then something like thermal grizzly paste can help.

Then a re-paste is probably not needed.

If you need help you should be posting pictures of contact patterns left by the paste, heatsink images, MSI afterburner and Intel xtu temperature graphs.

With the information you have given it's impossible to say.
