And with the Prema BIOS do you mean that they will not help flash it or the BIOS will not work at all? XoticPC looks like to be a partner of Prema bios and they sell Sager. I don't mind flashing the BIOS when it is released just wanted to see if it would be compatible. -

this would actually work out pretty nicely inside 870KM1, a 128gb optane for boot drive, two 960 pro in raid0 for work space (storage, vmware, video editing, storing games etc). all thats missing is a better heatsink for cpu and hope upcoming coffeelake 6 cores would work in it.Last edited: Mar 26, 2017Papusan likes this. -

"Pricing for Optane Memory M.2 2280 modules start at just $44 (16GB) and peak at $75 (32GB). The operating system recognizes the new products as addressable storage, just like a regular hard disk drive or solid-state drive. Intel told us that support for the drives as cache starts with the latest 200-series chipset products that feature an additional four PCI Express lanes over the older 100-series chipset."
"I'll be one of the first to take advantage of the new 3D XPoint technology in a RAID 0 array with three 32GB M.2 NVMe drives configured in a 96GB array to test what the technology is capable of." LOLOLOL
looks like caching is just gonna straight out use the m.2 2280 form factor but at only 32GB lol. can't even fit windowsLast edited: Mar 27, 2017Papusan likes this. -

Were sitting around a lake and thought
That there was a sky up
So BOOM
Skylake
Next time they thought that they weren't doing a new thing for the 3rd year too so like a morning ritual for many people
CoffeeLake
For the kabylake i don't even want to know what was their thought process -

So I re pasted my 7700k and I'm hitting 100c on non synthetic like gaming. This can't be normal...
-
ultimately, it is still a m.2 pcie device and bios will be able to read it, and should be able to recognize it as a mass storage device hence we can install windows on it. just speculation at this point but only educated guesses as i donno $h!t about windows.
if not.. then i could always refuse to use IRST as it benefits me little to none in none-raid 0 scenarios i only really install it for write cache boost, which optane will cover it with it's performance regardless. or i could install windows on say, SSD and then image to optane and force boot off optane m.2 afterwards maybe etc etcPapusan likes this. -

You can try the app in my signature and apply the 7700K profile, one click stuff, made for everyone who do not know how to use TS.
Probably will lower your temperatures since it includes undervolt. -

Finally got mine today from hidevolution but unfortunately I am stuck on the "Hi there Lets get a few basic things out there" set-up after choosing express setting. I'm facing the same problem as this https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us...ere-lets/06d8432f-5a94-4cb9-8549-72517cbf5cc7.
Corrupt windows 10 installation? This is disappointing especially for its price! I was expecting that it will work out of the box w/o hiccups. What solution should I do?
I also noticed that there are no printed reports on the benchmarks performed. Is this a normal situation? -

Give them a call, i'm sure they can walk you through some steps. Do you have a second PC where you can download an ISO?

Everything is fine now! The good people from HIDEVOLUTION help me resolved the issue. Special thanks to Zoltan for guiding me thru the process and of course to Donald also. -
Lets all take a second to appreciate the great reps from all of the companies who build on the clevo chassis. Thank you all!

You can set higher speeds in the BIOS, up to 2800mhz is easy, 3000mhz can take a little playing and beyond that is exploring the edges for SODIMMs at the moment.

So, with the 3k 120Hz screen on this, can I finally have my dream of 3D stereoscopic viewing on this laptop?

If it worked awesome for SSD caching that's the cherrypicked test they would have done -

A welcome change in the KM1 stock bios, you have the option to undervolt with a negative offset.

Question for the P870KM1 users out there... I hear the 7700k runs warmer than the 6700k. curious to know what overclocks are you guys running on the 7700k and what temperatures are you getting while gaming (with the heat of the 1080 sli) and the cpu. Also temperatures under some kind of stress test like Aida 64.
Thanks in advice -
@Phoenix - wow the keyboard does suck on this thing
am enjoying typing on the surface pro 3 more than on the clevo

Maybe.
But having time behind the keyboard of MSi and Clevo, I wouldn't mind spending a bit more on MSi and upgrading it to 7740K late-. Wait, wait, hold on...Spartan@HIDevolution likes this. -
