Mine is sitting on 1080p 75hz with 75fps comfortably in Witcher 3 with all possible settings maxed (G-Sync turned on, and it looks bloody AMAZING!), but apparently the 4K screens don't go past 64Hz I believe... Metabox in Australia had listed 4K 120Hz monitors as 'coming soon' on the day of the 10XX series notebook release, but have since amended it to only 1080p 120Hz coming soon with no word on a 4K 120Hz monitor. This doesn't fuss me too much really, as the frame rates would drop too low for good gaming in my personal opinion... but I will be upgrading to the 1080p 120hz when it is released

I will be purchasing this beast soon, not too sure which reseller I'll be choosing, I am seriously considering Dream machines.pl, as they are a Prema partner, I was wondering if anyone here ever bought a laptop through them, I was also wondering if Prema modded bios/vbios was up and running already on the 1080 model .

I'm not the least bit interested in 4K, the config I want is within 50-100 euro's of the price I get on Hyperbook for the same thing, but I get the added value of Prema bios/vbios (which I'd gladly pay that much for).
Edit: just checked Extreem.pl, you are right, they are quite a bit cheaper, about 2000pln, but not nearly as many options, like no keyboard layout option, no OS language option, I am not Polish so that is problematic, their prices seem inline with PCspecialist, except there you get more options .Last edited: Aug 25, 2016 -

At this point we dont have a reliable review of any of the 120hz screens. Either MSI, Clevo or Asus.
I guess i'll have to wait for them. It's so hard to eait...Ashtrix likes this. -
Then I'm also not sure the specs of the 120hz gsync that are coming..
Is it an IPS 25ms and/or a TN 5ms on offer? Sheesh. -
My P751DM2-G has finally shipped from pc-konsulten.se, hopefully I will have it tomorrow. It's almost barebone with only CPU i3-6100, GTX1070 and Wifi 8260, no ram, no hdd.. I got it for 1570€, consider that CEG charges 1246€ for a single GTX1070 mmx card, so I'm happy about the price. Now I'll swap the ram, ssd and cpu from the my old P751DM.

The 120hz on the MSI GT73 is g-sync... It's been confirmed. Just don't know the quality.
I'll wait for proper feedback. -

From the review:
(August 22, 2016 correction: Our test model is equipped with a 60 Hz panel and not a 120 Hz panel as previously mentioned. The 120 Hz/5 ms panel is still a separate option for the GT72VR) -

After 5 minute stress test CPU OC to 4594 Mhz, top CPU temp 84 degrees... tried clocks of 47,47,46,46 but it didn't register on CPUID, although the test worked stable for 5 mins... 47,47,47,47 forced CPU-z to crash

Metabox listing 4k 120hz as an option is just an VERY optimistic placeholder. There's only just talk of a standalone display coming with those specs.

Has anyone done any stock/real-world tests? Stress tests and overclocks with max fans are interesting, but what I'm really interested in is info like "after playing Witcher/WoW/Dota2 at max options for 1 hour, how hot did everything get and how loud was it?" since that's going to be my actual usage 99% of the time.
When I get mine from Mythlogic (hopefully in a week or two) I'll do some tests like that, if no one beats me to it.Last edited: Aug 25, 2016PrimeTimeAction likes this. -

Wait...are those mini DP ports? The model I saw had the old chassis with normal DP ports...so there are P775 laptops with GTX1080 which use the old chassis?
Is there any difference besides this? Everything else seems the same. -
Wow, great photos, thanks!

Loving those thermal pads though, they seem to be the squishy shape confirming types. Wish they used the same ones in the P870DMX. That would make everyone life easier.
Btw. i still haven't forgotten about you know what. Just barely getting any time and i would hate to mess up the positioning. -
definitely a sexy machine...that, of course, has nothing to do with the fact that the design is based on the original batman....
