Yeah but prema vbios works like a champ!! Also about 5-6 pages back you will find a link to all the drivers including the fingerprint scanner

    I'm using slv7's. OC'd core 200 and memory 350. Seems fine.

And I know about that link, this is my second Sager. I don't see fingerprint driver.

Call up support and see what they say. Might be something mechanical you can check before having to RMA.

Wouldn't sweat it too much if you have to RMA. My first sager mobo died after a week and I got it back in a week. But make sure you tell tech guy what you've done. He will probably skipnwhat you've done and try other stuff if there is anything else.

I ordered my P771ZM by one.de and if i compare the prices then one.de is a lot cheaper than CEG Hard Core Custom, BUT the build quality i will see only in a few days.

this is what i'm looking like at 19*C/66*F ambient temps. -75mv dynamic voltage undervolt which i think is my rock solid undervolt. i'm currently at -110 cache voltage offset. been lowering -10mv every 8hrs or so starting from -75. all pics were -75/-110. liking it. wondering if i should repaste cpu as core #2 runs hotter making a 4-5* spread from lowest temps.

4-5C aint that much tbh :) at least i wouldnt consider a repaste as long as the overall temps are alright. btw, if anyone's interested: looks like undervolting system agent and digital & analog IO aint worth it. in my case the undervolts caused system consumption to go up by 6W *lol* so just leave those at stock ;)

My second and third core are hotter usually but I'd have to change paste under IHS to fix it probably. I repasted cpu but it's the same - both are hotter.

Just read the sm951 review. Seems worth getting though I wish they gave more specifics on thermals. Nice to see how competitive the 850 pro and extreme pro were across the board. Also was amazed at how competitive the mx100 was compared to both pro's. Ready for it to hit retail already. S3ms like may at the earliest.

-75 is my current sweet spot as well but I was able to lower cache down to 150 stable so far with no problems. Although to be honest I don't see any difference in temps after -100mV so not sure if it's even worth it to keep it at 150 or move it to -110 or so to ensure stability.

Your temps looks really good are you running any test during the pics or is that idle. I notice slight cpu usage so something was going on haha but wondering what you were running to compare.

My first 3 cores run around the same temp but core 4 is always around 4-5 degrees cooler. This was the case with both paste so only option to fix it to delidding. I've never done it myself so not sure if I will tackle that or not. I bought the laptop to learn but that might be out of my league for now.

Running distributed computing. Seti@home currently with GPU available. That's the CPU spiking up and down. I think it analyzes blocks of data at a time. Bounces around 2-4ghz. GPU I'm not sure how mub is being taxed but highest I've seen is 69* on a heavy benchmark auto fans. I get 62* peak with higher ambient temps.

In 2 weeks I've gained 73000 points. In 2 months with a 2630qm and 540m I only got 40000 points. And it runs much cooler and quieter.

No delidding for me unless i4790k's hit sub $150 new. Not something I'm comfortable with.

Yeah I'm more than impressed so far. Out of curiosity what temps are you getting under idle? I'm hitting 46-49. That's amazing considering what's inside. At least to me lol

Normally not huge on gaming but I have been addicted to far cry 4. I bought it on a whim and the graphics are great and the game is fun. It's a FPS though if you are interested in that. Graphics are awesome. The fur on the animals is very realistic.

Skyrim is fantastic even if older (2011). I've just started playing Dragon Age Inquisition and it's a blast, has amazing graphics, and a fun multiplayer mode. It has some console port frustrations and is a bit on the action side for a rpg, but man is it beautiful.

45-48 degrees at idle, for stock setting (with turbo etc.) but with uv at 60mV/130mV and repasted with GC Extreme. Looks stable for now with this UV.

Might check out shadowrun. Got any suggestions like vagrant story or parasite eve but faster paced?

Hmmm... Divinity looks interesting. Is it faster paced and good story?

Oh BTW, I might try playing fallout new Vegas again. I hate playing fps type games with keyboard and it was hard getting a good setup on a USB controller with all the control option.

You are probably the only person in existence who given the choice prefers a controller over keyboard/mouse in an FPS... D:
I actually don't know how fast paced Divinity is, I'm usually pretty slow with my RPGs, and Divinity is a tactical RPG with turn based combat. But from what I've seen it's pretty great, and ppl recommend it left and right.
I don't really know vagrant story or parasite eve.

Well, grew up on fps on consoles. I've tried and tried and haven't adapted to keyboard and mouse. I'm damn good with a controller.

As far as rpg's go, I like all types, just don't want something too slow paced, as I do take my time also, if the game is to have a lot of secrets. I may just fire up some emulators and play some square rpg's I've missed from super Nintendo and ps1.

Count me in for a second. I ordered the Xbox controller adaptor so I can use that. I don't know I like keyboards and all but I feel I have much better control using s controller. Maybe it's bc of the above I also grew up playing on consoles and prefer them due to ease of use but enjoy the graphics of PC gaming much better

Yeah it's older but if you haven't played it I really think you would like skyrim. Should be able to find it cheap. It's not mind blowing on graphics but it's decent and has great reviews.

Edit: or just play some sims ;) haha (don't take this seriously I don't want to get started on how much I hate the sims and we have already derailed the thread temporarily as is haha)

I kind of wish they would release halo master chief collection on PC. That's about only fps that is tolerable to me. It's not about realism as far as military and violence which gets into people's heads.

I own it on xbox one and have been disappointed. Love the halo collection but the server issues and paying $60 and not being able to play it for months is unacceptable. If and when they do release it I would advise to wait to hear others feedback before becoming an early adopter. Had I listened I could have got the game for $20 and missed out on being so let down.

I have not made the image myself, but there is just absurd amounts of mods for skyrim, lot of them improve graphics in some ways. This one was probably made with a bunch of mods.

BTW, done with CO bar exam today, tomorrow an all day CLE, then I can help if needed.

Can't wait for this weekend. Debating whether I should delid myself, or send it to this guy on ebay to delid (cheaper if you don't have him apply CLU and reseal with black sealant. He seals the VRM for you and pops the top).

I'm actually a CA licensed attorney. Just moved to CO, so I am getting licensed here as well. Since it is the UBE, it applies to 14 states if I score 280 or above (which I think I did). But thank you!

First off congratulations. Sounds like you are pretty confident in your results. Secondly I actually looked that guy up a few days ago and it seems legit. I'm going to ask him about turn around time and what not and I may send mine off and get back with you about it. The question is can I be without a computer for a week or so. I don't know anything about it but would love the extra power from not hitting thermal throttle (possibly) keep us updated on anything you find out from him.

Not much to say about this laptop. It's what I wanted and expected. Screen could be better, it's a little grainy, would like it to be brighter and colors better.

Biggest gripe is the 15" keyboard in a 17" laptop. Maybe someday Clevo will use a full sized 17" keyboard in their 17" laptops. Would have made this nearly perfect since there is nothing to complain about the keyboard if say it was in a 15" laptop, but you can clearly see the keys are narrow, for 17" widen the keys more, that would make this 17" nearly perfect workstation.

Doesn't matter how much Skyrim is nodded, the shadows are FUBAR. And you can't mod Skyrim enough to match Witcher 2. W2 still reigning king of visuals for me. I got this beast machine for Witcher 3… not some Bethesda game that requires several years of modifications and fixes from the community.

You're better with controller? Got news, everyone is. Getting headshot with controller is like hitting a target in the chest with mouse and keyboard. Plus once you go keyboard and mouse you have the satisfaction knowing you did that. Controllers always have some aim assist and snap to target. Even games that claim no aim assist do, and have snap to target.

You should get good at keyboard and mouse for FPS. Its easier, faster, and more accurate if playing with zero assists. There were plans for FPS games that would merge all the platforms to one game, but each time tried, couldn't because PC players would murder console controller users. Destroyed.

Try learning a keyboard and mouse in a solo game. I never was comfortable with them until I played the original Half Life. Now controllers are just too slow. The only time I prefer those is for fighting games like Street Fighter, but even then I'll but out my joy stock :).
Speaking of square rpgs's, Secrect of Mana, by far the game I replayed the most.

Finished the undervolt and have been playing farcry 4 outputting to my 4k tv. Only get around 30-40 FPS on ultra and really not a large difference playing on low but looks amazing. I will say though playing on my tv and switching back to monitor will show a pretty large color difference so a calibration of these monitors is really needed. If anyone figured out a good replacement screen that is compatible let me know as I'm looking around myself.
