pretty straight forward actually: just max out the following sliders in xtu and rerun your benchmarks, see if that helps any :) no worries, the cpu only takes as much current and wattage as it needs, it doesnt draw the max amount u set the whole time ;) beware though, that with these settings your temps could potentially rise, so keep those under close watch...

I am in Colombo Sri Lanka, I just received a Sager NP9758s. I ordered it w 2 x 256 sm951, but Samsung magician in showing 1 950 pro and an unidentifiable ssd drive along with the travlestar. Device manager shows 2 950's? I work 7 12's and have not been able to open and verify. interesting. I have 2 x 512 950's coming and plan to raid them. Any thoughts?
Also I am looking for the service manual as I have an LTE/4g module coming, and will need to string some antennas into the machine. any guidance? I found the service manual at tech inferno however I don't have time/things to talk about for 5 meaningful posts, perhaps someone has the manual and is willing to repost here for the community as a public service. Thanks TD by the way I asked that the Sager logo not be put on the lid - it looks awesome.

currently migrating from a clevo 900F it just got to heavy. :)

    update :
I really need a hand here I have no service manual - broke a tab off one of the bottom covers when trying to remove it in prep for m.2 drive swap out.
2x 950 pro were installed by sager instead of the ordered 2x sm951. Not complaining just sayin.
Looks like raid on the 950 pros will have to wait for proper driver/bios support, its available for the sata bays but whats the point.
The LTE module goes under the keyboard, how does that come out?
Has anyone installed one and strung antennas? Thanks
Anyone have the service manual? bueller? bueller?

My P750DM-G came in yesterday afternoon! I haven't had the chance to play with it until this evening. Does anyone else have a good bit of flex in the display panel? Also, I still cannot find mention anywhere, does the USB type C support power in?

So what is the successor to this laptop?

The 870DM is available but that has an SLI option and is larger.

@jaybee83 Something odd is going on - I applied the tweaks you mentioned, and noted zero difference from the stock profile, as if none of the settings were actually applied (I did click apply, and even restarted and re-applied, to no avail). Did both an XTU and Cinebench test and neither demonstrated an improvement over stock.

    Here's a snapshot:

I can't do any more on this tonight but will have to play around further in the future.

just to make sure i understand u correctly: when u hit apply, do the settings actually stick upon reboot or does ir reset to the default settings? or do u mean the settings stick but the benchmarks behave as if the settings were still on default?

if its the latter: may i ask which xtu version ure using?

Sometimes it throttles itself when gpu is in usage. Mine was the same. When I run a wprime, no problem. When I run 3Dmark or a game, it reverse back to stock frequency. Try using throttlestop 8

Dsst.. 20,100mAh is nothing but a trickle charge for maybe >10 minutes of power. Try 384,000 mAH of POWAR!! read below

I'd be surprised if you can charge this laptop via usb type C. That type of application is usually intended for lower power devices.

Though since guys are talking about batteries I should chime in as I like to do from time to time.. Want to have truly mobile power? Go anywhere and have up to 4 hours of battery?

Check this out ... These specs closely match that of the DC output of the Charger for the Batman 2.0

That thing is a beast... I wouldn't even. Honestly a second battery is more reasonable. That's like the capacitors you see on telephone poles by the curb.

Yeah, it is definitely a trickle. My plan was to plug in, throw it in the same bag as my laptop. And let it do its thing until I use the laptop again.

So I got my Pro-Star P750DM last week, i7 6700K, Quadro M5000M, 32GB, 2x 512GB m.2 950 pro, 2TB 850 pro sata. I'm mostly successfully running Fedora 22 XFCE. It was a little wonky with the display until I installed the nvidia driver (I'm using the proprietary driver). 4k is amazing right? I've got the backlit keyboard functioning, all the hotkeys except the trackpad disable work correctly. I'm not sure about the sound card, I don't really care much for audio stuff so I haven't done anything with it. I do some cad work and programming. The only problem I'm having is the intel 8260 is running very slow. I saw someone earlier post something about that with windows as well. I'm still working through it. I've ordered an intel 7265 to try out and see if it works to see if it's a driver issue with the 8260 being so new. Love the laptop though. Once ram prices come down a little I'll throw another 32 GB in because why not right?

Do you have the 950s in raid 0? How the performance?

I don't know if I should get 2x512 now or wait for the 1TB version to come out.

Ok I started her on this forum with is post which I updated:

I am in Colombo Sri Lanka, I just received a Sager NP9758s. I ordered it w 2 x 256 sm951, but Samsung magician in showing 1 950 pro and an unidentifiable ssd drive along with the travlestar. I received the response below (huge hat tip to neohopper) in the true spirit of community assistance:

This manual is approx. 98%+ compatible with 750dm-g. Anyway I was looking around the techinferno forum for a bios that would allow raid 0 950s. I somehow stumbled onto Premas home page https://biosmods.wordpress.com/ clicked the important tab and low and behold: https://biosmods.wordpress.com/service-manuals/ 75xxDM-g is listed clicked through to: https://mega.nz/#!ec0znJiA!qnnqRYg0YeNyzK3v4okrdJn7ZVkv5C6xx3qFao8sV6o Score! Service Manual for Sager NP 9758 can be found at https://mega.nz/#!ec0znJiA!qnnqRYg0YeNyzK3v4okrdJn7ZVkv5C6xx3qFao8sV6o sorry for the second iteration of the address its for folks doing a search just like I did.

    Response to Cruellyricisti
I have DM. The manual mentions 3 sets of antennas and a close look (3200% is not good :) ) at the photos in the manual seem show antenna wires that are described on 2-18 or 19.
I travel a great deal and want to have the fastest most flexible set up that I can. I plan to combine a 4g usb dongle (Dialog), 4g LTE card (4g sim from Etisalat), and wifi (Killer 1535) provided by my lodging (Mobility) using Connectify Dispatch running through my vpn (Strong). A lot of moving parts but it should all play nice together. :) Updates as it evolves. Thanks to all.

Sorry, I miss typed, I have 2x 512 GB SM951 not 950 pro, and no I don't have them in raid. I have sort of an odd setup, I use one of them as the boot, efi, and root mount points, and the other for virtual machine disks. I use the 850 pro as /home. I do it that way for back up purposes and segregating disk io. I'll probably upgrade to 1TB+ when they come out, because I'd rather use an m.2 for my /home and the 850 pro for virtual machines but I need more than 1TB for all my stuff. They're really fast without raid though. If I have to complain about one thing with this laptop it's that the BIOS is very sparse, I wish it gave us more options. Still though this is really an amazing laptop.

@bullshifd the ram slots under the keyboard or the ones below, are paired; meaning if you populated each 2, they will work in dual channel.
    Here's a pic.

So, since the sata 850 pro basically just holds data at rest, and all programs live on the PCI-E SM951's everything is really fast. Plus having 32GB Ram I doubt I'm having to go to disk very often other than on starting programs for the first time. I haven't had time to do much with it other than compile a few programs. Subjectively it feels really really fast. Unfortunately though there are a lot of factors at play which influence that. One big one is the 4 GHz processor. I run dual Xeon E5-2697's on my desktop workstation with 128GB DDR4 ECC ram and I get similar drive throughput by putting 4 SSD's on an LSI MegaRaid 9271-8i cc raid card in RAID0. It gets ~2GBps, while the SM951's are rated at ~1.5GBps. This laptop feels faster. However I can pretty easily push the laptop to 100% usage while it takes real effort to push my desktop. Clearly from the hardware I run I don't believe that there is such a thing as overkill, so I'd say PCI-E m.2 is well worth it, but it might be the faster processor.

So I know where the ram slots are, but are the not tied to a channel? I though that 2 of the slots would be physically tied to 1 channel and the other two would be tied to the other channel. Like most desktops right? The laptop came with both dimms installed under the keyboard. I just want to make sure that if possible I can put one dimm on each memory channel so that both dimms could be accessed at the same time. Has memory architecture changed with DDR4 to allow the slots to not be tied to a particular channel?

I want each dimm to be on a separate channel so that each one can be accessed at the same time. If both dimms are on the same channel, then one of the dual channels will be used to access both dimms, and the other channel isn't used for anything. That's bad.

By running them in separate channels, aka 1 memory stick per channel, you will get lower bandwidth. By running 2 sticks in the same channel you get double the bandwidth. But I am pretty sure you know all this.
To run them in single channel, just populate 1 slot under the keyboard and another slot below the laptop.

Agreed...bullshifd, if you want to use both channels, get 2 more RAM sticks... Otherwise, doing it this way to use each channel is plain stupid..

Might be the longer latency on the ECC RAM. I am planning on getting better rams and probably a way larger SSD.
I didnt like the fact that eurocom only offered 2133 CAS 15 sticks. I know skylake loves fast RAMs so just 2133 might not be enough.

The 16GB Dimms are really hard to find right now in the US, they're also way too expensive to order from the laptop builders. That's why I currently only have 2 16GB dimms. Once the 16GB dimms are more available and a more reasonable price I'll get 2 more. Until then I'm stuck with 32GB RAM.

Did you run the antenna yourself or is this what you see the first time you ripped up the keyboard? That's the most beautiful thing I've seen in ages. I have the P750DM-G, the only difference should be the chrome trim heatsinks. So I am hoping mine looks exactly like that. Oh hell, I might as well grab my small driver set and rip mine open to see what's going on.

Also, for anyone that knows. Does that empty WWAN module slot support mSATA SSD? I have a 850 EVO in the machine I am using to type this, that I would love to stick there until I convert my workflow permanently to the 750DM. (I've dug through the manual and cannot confirm or deny it myself).

@Cruellyricisti (damn that's a hard nick to write down, good for auto-complete) , anyway, I did not run the antenna myself, it was there from the beginning. I don't know how it is with current P75xDM-G models, but with previous P65xSE/SE models, if you did not order a laptop with 3g/lte modem, it did not have the necessary antenna nor the sim slot (actually the slim slot was there but it was NOT hardwired to the 3gslot)
My P751DM-G has both the 3g/lte antennas and the sim slot (located under the battery). It is very easy to take out the keyboard so shouldn't be hard to check if you have the antennas.

Based on info from my re-seller, you cannot use an msata in the 3g/lte slot.

@myx From what I understand, the sim support is always there (as-in soldered and functional) but the antenna cabling is only there if ordered with a 3G/4G module from factory. Me and a few others have been all over these forums trying to get answers for weeks about the pre-ran cabling for the WWAN. You are the first to verify. I've only had my machine maybe 48hrs, so if you have had yours longer I'd wager mine would look the same. Where did you order from, if you don't mind?

@myx I hope that P75 1DM-G doesn't mean I will hunting down capable antennas and wiring them through to the monitor for decent reception.

    Edit: Thanks for the feedback

Edit 2: The reason for the inquiry was a pre-release version reviewed by @HTWingNut did not have the antennas supplied to the WWAN port. So many were wondering whether or not to chock that up to its pre-release status.

I ordered from www.tekadvice.ro . Like the only (there are 2 in total) reasonable Clevo reseller around here :)

I bought from Pro-Star, P750DM (not G, I have a quadro gpu) which is a Clevo builder. There are no cables present for the 3g/lte slot

I misread the post a little, sager machines do tend to come with most cables/connectors in case they want to offer any set of customisation, Clevo builders tend to order them precisely to spec they offer (I thought you got the card with the machine which is why I was confused).

If you ever need someone to check, just contact your reseller, the above is just a rule of thumb and there are many Clevo resellers so I image it can vary a bit.
