    If anyone here has Watch_Dogs 2, mind sharing how your performance is? I doubt it's my specs, but rather terrible optimization that gives me generally low FPS and sometimes the game completely stops.

    Haven't done any serious monitoring in a while. What software do you recommend? Is the CCC and built-in Windows stuff good enough?

    Is prema bios available for p670rp6 yet? I have no idea how I am supposed to find out when it's released or even when new bios updates from clevo are available. I ordered from hidevolution who is a prema partner and have had the laptop for a couple months now but they brushed me off when I asked if clevo released any new bios updates yet. I didn't ask them about prema yet since I couldn't even get an answer about stock bios updates. I occasionally get blue screens related to the nvidia gpu when unplugging the hdmi cable that goes to an external monitor so I was hoping maybe clevo fixed that in an update. It's running windows 7.

    Prema BIOS is not yet available, not even for the flagship P870DM3, we're still Beta testing it so you receive an awesome / stable BIOS

    Actually @lazer155, we sent you the latest BIOS and EC on December 20th:

    "Hello XXXX, Here is the latest BIOS and EC that I would recommend to flash on to your laptop. Please let me know if this fixed your issues.

    Attachments:
    P6xRx_BIOS_1.05.04.zip
    P6xRx_EC_1.05.02.zip"

    We haven't heard back from you...were you able to flash them? Do you still have the same issues?

    The Prema BIOS is in BETA testing now. Once Prema finishes the BIOS and vBIOS, we will reach out to you and flash them for you remotely in your Windows environment.

    I thought it would come through as an email so that's what I keep checking. I looked all over my inbox and can't find that email though. Do you think you can send it again? Thanks. It's mostly the blue screens that I'm hoping will be fixed.

    Do you know guys whether the 670xx series will get a QHD support update sometime in the near future? I have been waiting since September for something to pop up and the wait is driving me nuts! 775DM is too bulky and Aourus is too pricey..

    just out of interest, why would you want to deal with the crappy DPI scaling of Windows on a 4K Screen in such a small laptop?

    see: How does anyone in his right mind buy a 4K screen laptop?

    Clevo has no plan to offer the QHD (2560X1440) screen on the P6xx series now, or even in the future. I am so sorry, but I guess it is the EVOC P775DM3-G or die :no:

    I can´t even use 3K.
    Some weeks ago i built something which was suppose to be my new Windows daily machine, went with a 3K screen... what a mistake!
    On the other hand Linux with HiDPI scaling support (like ElementaryOS) is just WOW.

    you were trying to use 3K on a 15 or 17 inch screen?

    It took me a few days but then my eyes adjusted to 3K @ 100% DPI scaling. No way I could do this on a 15" screen.

    4K = never on a laptop even if you paid me

    3K native scaling on a 17.3" screen is perfectly fine, but it's on the edge, I mean, on even a 0.5 inch smaller screen, it would be unreadable

    I hook mine up to a 1440p 144hz 27" when I am at home to get real size, my little 13" 1080p is about as dense as I would want a notebook screen to get.

    As far as I can tell, this would be an aftermarket upgrade you'd have to make yourself. However, the cable and mounting orientation and lid should be compatible if you're using the LG LP173WF4-SPx1 (SPD1 or SPF1) in it. I.E. there's over 90% possibility that it's fully compatible on the physical side, but Clevo didn't offer it so they can't really "officially" sell it to you.

    Also, if you want Gsync, you'd almost certainly require a custom Prema mod which adds the B173QTN01.0 screen to the "supported" panels in your BIOS after changing the screen.

    He's asking for QHD though, which is 1440p.

    FHD = 1080p
    QHD = 1440p
    3K = somewhere around 2880 x 1620; very rarely used (sometimes used to refer to 1440p)
    UHD = 4K (2160p)

    I had asked for QHD, not 4K which makes a huge difference. Also, coming from Macbook Pro (Company lappie, not mine), I do not think I would have hard time adjusting, even with crappy Windows scaling :) Besides, I will only use Windows for gaming, otherwise Linux is fine for development..

    Thanks for this super post mate! I was also confused about this issue as well. For example, the mysn.co.uk for their version of 775DM3 lists both panels as available options. https://mysn.co.uk/xmg-u717-gaming-laptop

    I know that pckonsulten.se sells 670rs with LG LP173WF4-SPD1 with 75Hz. What is worrying me is there are no confirmed swaps on the market after searching for various forums. I am still undecided on what to do. Wait for an uncertain period or go for the leap of faith with a limited budget...

    As I and Meaker said, there is no mounting orientation or size or cable differences at all between the panels, which means on a physical side there should be no issues. There is an extremely small chance something might prevent it from working, but for the most part, it would likely be plug and play.

    If it ships in the machine anywhere and it has the same lane count connector it will be plug and play. If you get a G-sync model you will likely loose that of course.

    Is anyone with a Killer card experiencing slowdowns when consuming media? YT always defaults to 240p and still buffers, but the same video in the app on my phone on the same network has no buffering at 1440p. All the Killer "features" are turned off. Might have to do a reinstall of drivers.

    I'm seeing issues with streaming on Youtube as well. Running a speed test only nets about 40 Mbps, while I get the full 125 Mbps over ethernet and other wireless devices in my house. This is running the latest drivers only package from Killer networks. I'm going to try installing the ones from Clevo next. I don't use WiFi that often, but this definitely appears to be an issue.

    Had the same issue with the Clevo drivers, so I installed the latest Killer suite. It was still giving trouble, but within the program I disabled advanced stream detect, which seems to have brought everything back up to full speed. I just tried a 10-minute 1080p Youtube video, and while it took a bit longer to start up than expected, it played with no pauses. The drivers only software package must leave that feature enabled by default, but without the rest of the software, there doesn't appear to be a way to turn it off.

    My P670RS worked pretty well when I first got it, but the card periodically crashes on any newer drivers (even those provided by clevo resellers), and initiates W10's BSOD from time to time. Now it seems even 368.83 isn't stable - when running in discrete mode I'll lose video input entirely on occasion, and the computer takes multiple attempts to boot up correctly as sometimes the display will just obstinately remain blank.

    It also performs piss poorly in 3DMark, the 1070's failed the stress test each time I've tried it.

    Use the basic drivers, no driver suite.
    Both of you, download and use this http://www.martin-majowski.de/downloads.html

    Just enable "disable background scans". You may want to enable "streaming mode" too, but it shouldn't be necessary on the Killer card (it is on Intel cards).

    Let me know if that helps.
    I suggest RMA-ing that instantly. You can't replace or re-seat the card due to it being soldered, and that certainly sounds like some problem in the notebook. The fact that you said "in discrete mode" means the iGPU has perfect connection to the screen and doesn't cause losing video input, and all external video output ports are wired to the dGPU directly, so it cannot be the screen itself having any problems.

    The bad thing? You're going to get a new motherboard, dGPU *and* CPU. If you had a good CPU I feel sorry for you.

    Yeah, I'm good now as well. Guess I should stay on the Clevo version of everything except NVIDIA.
    Interesting. Perhaps I'll try that out later, but rn I'm sticking with the Clevo Killer Suite since I like the UX and I find some of the monitoring tools better than other third-party solutions. ASD has also proven useful, on occasion.

    The issue with the driver suite is that it causes problems for some wifi connections and also sometimes with other things in windows like nVidia drivers. If you encounter any issues I'd suggest trying what I said, but if you get no trouble then great!

    Thanks!
    And is it possible to flash the Eluktroniks or XMG BIOS?

    I've found a few files and sorted these versions out:
    EC: "XMG_P507_1070_P707_1060_1070_BIOS_1.05.03TR"
    BIOS: "XMG_P507_1070_P707_1060_1070_BIOS_1.05.05a"

    Do you guys think these two would work together on my Device?
