I posted my firestrike score on last page with 145 and 500. I'm trying 155 and 600 now and will bench tomorrow. I'm using over clock fans ATM tho. I'll have to try max fans and see how much it helps if any.

My previous ETA was Sep 20 and it was delayed to next week. Considering the shipment, it will take nearly 50 days since I placed the order. I am trying very hard not to bother Donald every day asking about ETA.

Yah I can see his email being spammed at this point since there is a lot of people wondering when their order is done! I will once in awhile try to email him on that but I try not to since I will probably get the same answer "Still waiting or still out of stock!"!

Does anyone know if the refresh rate for the 1080p panel go beyond 60hz for 650RS/NP8153S? This is the 15.6 " model with the GTX 1070.

I don't know who is selling them as this might be impolite to ask. Maybe they can get the barebone from another reseller and build by themselves.

I am assuming that they are getting from somewhere else and if demand is higher you would need toget more supplies (haha macro-economics ftw) and if they cant supply it then it is the manufacturer's issue

I did some testing with Gsync. It's working fine (at least for me) even with the 372.90 latest drivers. All I did was change Vsync to ON rather than the default "Use 3D Application Setting". FPS capped to 60 automatically only with the exception of DOTA 2. Even with the old drivers I have to turn VSYNC ON in-game. For info I just used Unigine Valley and Heaven to check for Gsync by walking around.

Hyped to hear it's only marginally worse than the HA-2. Have been eyeing that for some time so that ups my budget for the headphones! Might get the new Beyer DT1770's or the PM-3. Glad to hear it came out well though there's an error with viewing the laser etching. Might just do that aftermarket.

Guys, I'm just wondering how many people encounter the backlight bleed (It's most pressure than bleed) on the top right corner of their screen. My re-seller is working on trying to alleviate pressure with little luck. I'm ordering a P650RS and it seems to be a common problem even with the P650RP. What he's going to do is see if he can go in deeper with the dremel and compensate with foam.

I asked if he could provide pictures of the process if successful so I can share it here if anyone wants to give it a go and he is more than happy to. I'll find out tomorrow as to how that will go.

I've been hearing about this from everyone it seems. I'm regretting not getting the 4k screen bc I've heard it doesn't have it. I'll see how it looks when it gets in, but I'm not holding my breath for it not showing.

This is light bleed from my P650RP6. It actually looks worse in picture than in reality. Believe it or not at first the light bleed was from the top right and bottom left corner. You can see it's now mostly at the top of the screen. But really, you won't notice unless in a completely black screen in a dark room. Moving/Touching the screen affects its position, so it could be the pressure.

Oh I haven't heard of the 4k screens being problem free. If I did I probably would've gone for it. But Then again I don't use the main screen enough to warrant paying that much for an upgrade. I'd rather pay for a 6820HK instead. When does yours come in?

That really isn't so bad I have to say. This is mine, courtesy of the person working on my laptop.

I mean to clarify it is worse, but its closer to the HA-2 than a standard port I would say. Since it's still internal it'll stuggle to surpass a dedicated external dac, especially one as solid as the HA-2, but its the best headphone audio I've ever heard from a computer easily.

I'm gonna rerun firestrike, I had a ton of stuff going on in the background, and i also think I screwed it up near they end because my friend like put it into hibernate near the end and somehow the score still counted. Graphics was 13000 which doesn't really make any sense for the clockspeed I was holding.

HID does laser engraving, shoot Donald or Ted an email and ask for it. HID is great because they'll do basically anything. It came out cheaper than XoticPC to do it too.

Haha its actually the same image basically, it just gets horribly compressed here while that was a vector file that could scale infinitely for the engraving.

Well it depends on the seller really. Mind you, the attempt might not work. They're just giving it one last shot as they didn't make any progress the last time. If it does they will share pictures on how.

OK so after doing the EC and BIOS updates (that Sager says don't actually exist) I thought the external display lag was solved...but it's not. It seemed solved when using GPU hybrid, but came back after I switched to discreet. This is ridiculous. It makes this laptop unusable for someone like me who switches from working in the office to on the road. :(

Huh, I thought we had reports of it being solved? Maybe only partially?

Now that I have ordered from HIDevolution I guess I will be getting the Prema BIOS once it is ready. If in the meantime I use the new EC and BIOS that @gooface posted a while back this will not cause any problems, right?

On my 650rs-g I don't have any bleed from the top. Only two spots along the bottom and they're only noticeable on boot, basically.

It seems to work fine as long you you are using GPU Hybrid mode. Discreet causes issues with CPU usage :(

Isn't using Hybrid a workable solution for using external monitors? At least in the short term? As I understand it the output to an external monitor is forced discrete, so if you set it to hybrid and it's pushing to the external only with the dGPU and it's not causing CPU problems then it's a workaround, right?

I have heard a couple of times that the ports are connected directly to the dGPU and so all external rendering is done through the dGPU. But I am not sure if anyone has confirmed it. Maybe turn on hybrid mode and try to run something demanding with an external monitor and see how it does? Because you are right, if any external monitor always uses dGPU then this looks like a workaround.

Hey guys, so if your on power saver and using the iGPU in mshybrid mode the battery life is estimated by Windows as around 3.5 hours. Seems about right, down to 85% after 30+ minutes. Shouldn't be too much of an issue to get through classes with it. Maybe I'm just used crap battery life but it feels pretty good lol. The screen is just so pretty... While its technically not 4K its definitely clearer than 1440p. Very nice crispiness to all the text.

That just means you are using vsync now instead of gsync. Gsync is broken in that driver. On the other one you don't need to enable vsync.
