That is too bad that a single Goldkey 8GB will cost 65$ while 8GB 2400 DDR4 Kingston cost me 43$.

I think I can help, the delay is part of windows 10 features it's existed so that you may not move the mouse while moving your palm, I had this problem in many laptops and when I rolled back to win 7 the problem gone in all cases, try to make some changes in the mouse setting interface.

In Win 8 and beyond some drivers don't have separated interface, it becomes part of ordinary control panel tabs, if you want to know what driver installed you can go to device manager and see if the driver version match what you installed.

You don't need to match brands or models, just that all memory be able to run at the same latencies, speed and voltage.

I had the same issue and was really pissed that I couldn't find a Synaptics control panel anywhere. I fixed it by going to Windows Key > Settings > Mouse & Touchpad > Turn off taps (no delay, always on)

I second this. I think mine was part of the batch that shipped out with yours.

This being my first Sager/Clevo laptop, where does one go for driver updates? Is there a Clevo software program preinstalled that helps with this or do you gotta go through Sager/Clevo's website? If not, do you gotta go ala carte for each specific driver? With Dell and Lenovo it was pretty simple to find most of em all in one place.

So good and bad news.... Good news here is the latest Bios from Sager for these laptops:

    http://www.mediafire.com/download/1xjehkdz90c4bml/8153BV03.7z

funny thing is... XMG updated their FTP with their BIOS (looks like the same one as this one or is it different?! I am not home to test it)

    https://www.mysn.de/driver/XMG/XMG_P507_P707/BIOS/

Bad news is he said the EC he received was not for this model :( so no new EC file (I suggest using that XMG link I posted above and grabbing their EC if you havent already)

So to get everyone on the same page I suggest grabbing either the BIOS from Sager that I posted or the XMG link (not sure if its the same or not, someone should test it, it could be newer than what Sager just gave me) and get the EC from XMG.

For both the EC and the bios you make a bootable drive in Rufus and then throw the extracted files into the drive (dont put the EC and the Bios in the same folder, make separate folders)

    Disable UEFI in the bios

Then boot off the drive then navigate to where you put the files run the flash.bat command for both the EC and the bios and it should update them. (in their respected folders)

I've never repasted a notebook before (but I have installed desktop CPUs). Do I have to heat up my gelid gc? Do I spread evenly and thinly on gpu and cpu? Or pea drop it? Anything important to know before taking apart my p670 aside from the dozens of screws and removing the heatsinks?

Gelid is soft enough that you don't have to warm it up, really.

Warming it improves viscosity, so it spreads out under heatsink much easier.

The bios must be an unbranded stock bios from Sager then. I haven't tested it, just got back from work and I flashed the bios I was more interested in (the XMG Bios)

This is a different bios thats for sure:

OLD (Stock Sager bios that came with my machine)
    https://goo.gl/photos/sgbG88W974tkif3Y9

NEW (XMG bios I posted earlier)
    https://goo.gl/photos/38SNh6FgTtpcsfYu9

Notice what's different there?(other than the obvious) They are running a different VBIOS revision, now, the only thing I did not get a shot of before I flashed was the date stamp on the Sager bios, Can anyone get theirs for me?

The XMG one is dated: 07/03/16

QUOTE="Krissppy, post: 10348101, member: 680169"]I myself used a chopstick to push through that little hole. As long as you take out all the screws on the back panel, even the ones in the middle, you're good. I too was a bit nervous having to do that but you'll hear it pop when you do. The top right of the keyboard should pop up first, then just run your fingers along the top row and pull. Be careful though, the keyboard has a couple short connections on the bottom. This youtube video explains it perfectly.

It's crazy how thin these are with the 1070s.I didn't realize it until that video.
My alienware weighs around 13 pounds , I'm not gonna know what to do with one that weighs nearly a third of that haha

I seriously hope in the 2 weeks that I have to wait, they fix the monitor issue because I was really wanting to play this on my big screen 4k.. Cause I love just closing the lid, and using my wireless gear and playing witcher 3 on my HDTV.
If there is a God... *begs*

Just read the change log for that xmg bios.

    1. System BIOS 1.05.03.
    2. “VT-d” item in CMOS setup.
    3. Support new LG panel.
    4. Solve “4K panel no display in Legacy mode” problem.

Looks like it's 1.05.03 with a few fixes on top.

Got my P650RP-6 yesterday. Everything looks nice except the light bleed top right corner and bottom left corner which are only visible in a completely dark screen. Not noticeable unless you really look for it.
Problem i have is the fan. Even after flashing XMG EC, i didnt notice any speed ramp while Benchmark (Unigine), where my GPU temp reached up to 79 max (HWmonitor).
I want to do some proper benchmarking, can someone give me a list of softwares needed to monitor/cap FPS, OC'ing CPU and GPU, monitoring turbo/throttling? I'm kinda new to high end laptops since my MSI GT628x (2011).
    Thanks guys!
