So I am expecting mine tomorrow, over the weekend my tracking went to that it was created but has not been picked up by ups yet. But on the 15th it said ups had it... I called and the automate message about it said it's on schedule for tomorrow the 19th (when I was expecting it tomorrow the 20th, I called yesterday) so some odd things going on with ups I think. I also bought with lpc, personally I think ups has a tracking number issue right now.

Mine was also initially set to arrive the 19th because lpc made a label. But then they didn't actually drop it off at ups until the next day so ups re cacled for the 20th and that's still my scheduled delivery. It's possible that their automated voice thing just isn't up to date. I'd go with what the online tracking says.

Oh! I thought you said it updated to show ups had the package? Are you referring to the lpcdigital status? If so it's way behind. My lpc status changed to shipped like 3 days after it actually shipped.

Oh I see. I misread your first post. That's definitely confusing. Mine actually shows it moving across the the country in the status updates. I'm not really sure what to make of your status ATM :(

Whew, so it looks like UPS had something glitches goin on. Mine shows it's out for delivery today! ^_^ though oddly enough in the tracking history it shows it made a stop in Australia lol. Hopefully it's just the UPS system that's giving you guys problems.

Are the screwy fan profiles limited to one specific distributor or common to all Clevo-based models? Does it affect both 15.6" and 17" versions? Is it limited to one of the GPUs (1060 or 1070)?

EDIT: ditto with the external display issues.

I think its pretty much all of em. It's not actually that hard to fix though, you just have to do it yourself. Personally I'll probably wait for the @Prema bios, but I wish we had an eta. (hint hint wink wink, jk take your time)

Received my p650rp6-g, I'm pretty happy except for the very bad backlight bleed.

I'm having an issue though. I decided to uninstall the Clevo Control Center (I saw no reason to keep it) but now my 6700HQ just won't turbo (2.6ghz max). Once i reinstall CCC, it can once again turbo to 3.1-4 depending on the load... it's pretty annoying, I hate having bloat on my computer and I have no use for CCC. That plus it seems to be messing up Throttlestop. Any idea how to get rid of CCC without gimping my cpu ?

(Also, I don't have any options in my bios for undervolting, I know the CPU isn't overclockable but i should be able to undervolt it still right ? any idea why I can't ?)

You have to install intel XTU first before installing Cleve Control Center for undervolting. I'm undervolting on -175.

I mean undervolting in the bios, XTU won't help me with that right ? Once in windows I can undervolt with Throttlestop just fine.

That no turbo boost bug is really annoying me... I barely have anything installed on this machine (only very big games that'll be a PITA to re-download...) and I already have to reinstall windows, fairly disappointing.

Does anybody know if HIDEvolution is already shipping P650RS with the Prema BIOS? If not, can I ask them the BIOS afterwards so I can install it myself? @Prema Don't worry, you'll be gettin' your donation hahaha

Be careful with the undervolting. I also undervolted -175mv and coming out of DOOM turned off and corrupted my save :*( Then I went with -100mv and everything seemed fine except when I pulled the power cord out on a fully charged battery under load and it just turned off again. I repeated this many times till I settled at -75mv and so far no crashes or instant turn offs. But man I am impressed with the 1070. I overclocked it like 100 mhz core and 200 mhz memory and it still doesn't get hot or crash. How high is typical overclock for the 1070 on standard voltage?

Standard voltage varies by frequency so it can be a bit hard to track but most cores without power limits can reach at least around 2Ghz at max voltage.

    Hi there!

I searched this thread for "372.20" as I (at least it seems so) getting issues with this driver or any driver other than 368.83 on my P651RS(-G) a.k.a. XMG P507 with GTX 1070. The Issues are as follows:

    - after reopening the lid of my powered on notebook the screen turns black for a short moment and only then on again.

    - even worse: the my regularly just restarts while ideling... The bug check points to the nvidia driver.

Now I wonder... am I able to use any other driver at all or do I have to rely on special Clevo drivers?

    Best regards

    phila

P.S.: G-sync seems broken with all the drivers (at least in some Games like the Dvinity Original Sin, Witcher 3 and No Man`s Sky)

I recommend you use the comparable SAGER drivers wherever possible, I replaced all my Clevo drivers with SAGER ones and everything is working great, although I am running 372.20 fine for the 1070.

Thx! How did you get the 372.70 sager driver. Trying to download from their site, I only see the 368.83 available.

    Best regards

P.S.: By the way: Did any one of you flash the latest bios? I could not get it to work as my bootable USB Stick and/or start CD are not recognized. My notebook just keeps booting from the ssd - even though I tried to set "boot order" and even "override"

For anyone who consider buying this model and want to use external screen. DO NOT BUY IT UNLESS CLEVO FIXES THESE ISSUES!

Oooh link please, in the event that I do get this I'm trying to decide between the two. I read a thread here saying otherwise that the AC8260 offers more stable connections and the Killer is great if you have a good router to pair with it.

I had Killer with my MSI GT72. Gave me amazig bluescreens right out of the box. So it`s Intel for me this time. Especially as I use WiDi a lot, which did not work with Killer flawless as well.

    http://www.eightforums.com/gtsearch...05v6qk06j2&cof=FORID:9&ie=UTF-8&q=Killer+BSOD

Of course there will be many people that suffered the same problem from Intel Wireless I am sure.

That's interesting, what do you use WiDi for? Just wondering about the latency you get, and if it is acceptable for gaming.

For the backlight bleed, it's very hard to take a picture of it in daylight I'll try tonight.

(for those who care, my turbo boost is still messed up, I think a clean install is my only option. Beware of Clevo Control Center...)

Technically it does because most if not all 4k edp will work theyre just holding onto it for higher end models if your not seeing it as option.

Look for CPU usage when external monitor is connected. In Windows 10 task manager you should see System Process using at least 12% of entire CPU (100% of one core). Also CPU will work in Turbo mode all the time not being able to enter any power saving mode.

This issue is visible in "discrete" gpu mode.

I received my P650RS-G from gentechPC.

The score for firestrike is 12000, for firestrike XE is 6970.

Run furmark for 10 mins, the core frequency is around 1224 MHZ. The temperature of GPU is 88 C.

I run WoW for 30 mins, the temperature of GPU is as high as 92 C and the temperature of CPU is as low as 75 C.

I think maybe something wrong with the heat pipe.

    Any suggestion?

Okay guys, so I went down a rabbit hole looking into the AC8260 and the benefits of having vPro I found a "Wireless Docking" solution that is granted by the AC 18260 card through this dock here. Obviously I'm hyped because this is an extremely elegant solution taking this between work and home.

Initially, this seems like it's locked only to Dell's E5570 due to the availability of the card being only to that laptop. Can't find the parts on eBay but I found it on Amazon. I wonder if I just swapped out the parts and installed drivers, would I be good to go.

OML. I'm sorry you missed out but holy crap this is amazing.

There shouldn't be, but before you order, do check HIDevolution. I'm about to order from them over the next week or so.

To elaborate; I've been in contact with both, and PCS seems rather inconsistent and not so knowledgeable about their current stock. I checked in to confirm if the Sabre DAC (only on the RS with 1070) is in their Defiance III, but the configurator they use is for both the P650RP and P650RS, so they had to chase the information around. Got 3 emails today, one after the other with a No, Yes and No again. That and along with late response from completely different people each time and even then questions weren't fully answered

HIDevolution ensures you get the parts you want along with stuff like Prema BIOS (google) and the customer service is superb even with just pre-purchase interactions, I contacted Donald specifically and he answered all my questions point by point and I was quite satisfied with it. Plus, it comes up to the same price, if not cheaper than PCS even after shipping and tax.

I've been lurking around this thread and from what I've read (correct me if I'm wrong), that's not normal. Was it repasted?

    These are my 3dmark scores:

    http://www.3dmark.com/fs/10073246

    http://www.3dmark.com/fs/10081799

    http://www.3dmark.com/spy/406007

My suggestion is to make sure you are using Gsync (this will cap your frames to around 60fps and lower your temps)

Using stock paste? Might want to re-paste. Or use a better paste.

    Try undervolting the CPU.

Also try that new XMG bios with the fan profiles.

I think it's abnormal. It simply doesn't obey the Physical law that the heat flow should go from high temperature to low temperature if they are connected. This is the exact situation we have in P650RSG. That's why I'm saying something maybe wrong for the heat pipe.

Actually, I choose the IC DIAMOND from Sager's option, so I didn't repaste.

Where can I get the new XMG bios?

    Thanks!!!

Well for me that I am in Italy, ordering from HID costs 200 dollars more with the same specs as from pcs, besides, I should be able to get the new bios and install it myself even if it's not a hid laptopt right?
