woo 4.3 thats damn nice. whats the temp? i know intel burn test is really stressful on the cpu but i wanna know how long before temp reaches 90C 95 or 100C, that'll give me a good idea how good the cooling is.

It's just propped up and no FN+1, it just ramps itself to max when it needs to.

Wasn't too bad, $3,442. I did not go with the 32 GB of ram, it was $300 extra and I think 16 will be enough for now. Add in the $439 I spent on the SSD the total comes to about $3,881.

What soft did you use to undervolt a 3930k ?
I have tried allready Throttlestop - but I can't control the voltages, RMClock - doesn't show the advanced menu (and it doesn't even recognize the cpu), and in Intel XTU, I can only change the current, not the voltage.
I saw in BIOS we have voltage steps - how do they correspond to actual cpu voltage?

I ordered one too, but not that expensive:

    - Graphics Video Card: SLI (2x) - NVIDIA® GeForce™ GTX 770M (6.0GB total)
    - Processor: Intel® Core™ i7-4930K, 3.4-3.9GHz (22nm, 12MB L3 smart cache - 6 cores / 12 threads)
    - SAVE! RAM Upgrade [ADD 2x4GB SODIMMS (16GB 1600MHz Ram)]
    - Primary Hard Drive: 750GB 7200RPM [SATA II - 16MB Cache] (SKU - HDD099)
    - Third Hard Drive: None Standard
    - Second Hard Drive: None Standard

    Total : $2,697.00

I already have 24GB 1600MHZ, OCZ vertex 3 SSD and 750GB WD Black edition 7200RPM, remain of my late G73. maybe I can fit my blue ray on this one too, Not sure about that.

I have something in my mind, is it possible to upgrade the LCD to 3D?

by the way there is a little itchy thing about my order is, I should pay $534 for shipping to Malaysia, can you believe it??? in the beginning it was around $140 , then they said that wasn't right, you should pay $250 and after that it occurred the laptop price is more than $2500 and I should pay $534

So totally I should pay more than $3000 , it is equal to my car price :D

The shipping to Malaysia, is that some special import tax included? I know if I ship something to some places in Canada it is 15% of the item price plus shipping. I bought my friend a $1700 PC and it cost me about $300 to ship it from the seller in the states to him.

Why can't I seem to get any of the audio jacks to output analog 5.1 surround? It only plays through the 2 front speakers. I know I played 5.1 surround through one of the jacks on my NP7280. This is driving me insane.

Thanks! Does this rule still apply?: "DO NOT USE THESE MODS IF YOUR CURRENT BIOS/EC IS v1.03.xx"

Is v1.03.xx the Ivy-e bios? (don't have my machine yet...)

can someone please explain this.. I am confused

p570wm originally only supports 1600mhz 32gb and I recall someone tested 1866 and 2133 but downclocks to 1600.

prema modded bios allow overclocking ram so it doesnt look like CPU or chipset (intel) is limiting the ram speed like they said they did (1600mhz) and this was confirmed by several different users. so just what is limiting the ram speed, Bios only or CPU clock? or why I dont see support for 32gb at 2133mhz, since people can just overclock it?

I can just set my speed in XTU but to be honest with the quad channel 1600mhz with a decent cas latency will net you all the real world performance. I run at 2133mhz CL10 because I can.

then do you know any 8gb stick module (samsung or any other) that can OC to 2133? I'd like to do 4x8 in this machine imo quad channel at 2133 can help hexa CPU A LOT.

That's a really good price and excellent specs. Congratulations!

As far as I know, this is the only new high performance dual-GPU laptop available anywhere that has not been totally ruined by a Haswell mobile CPU. What Clevo reseller did you buy from? Are you in the US?

2133mhz is a bit of a stretch for 8GB modules, you could try getting lower latency 1866mhz modules.

That looks like xoticpc's invoice product description. Every reseller has about the same pricing, but xoticpc had the best deal that ended cyber Monday. Now prices are back up on average about $100 on the total system. So if you buy now, you really didn't miss out on great Black Friday/Cyber Monday savings. Or you can buy barebones, like John told me. I was too lazy and bought the system. now the wait.......

sad thing is that x99 won't have sata express, since sata express run on pci lane i believe. and that ddr4 is only for haswell E and server, we just might see it in a notebook from clevo who knows

Ya as someone mentioned it is from XoticPC and yes I am in the US. This is my first time dealing with them, so far so good.

I plan to add 32GB to it at some point, but it was $290 extra for the 32GB and I prefer to pick my own memory and then ebay the 16 GB that came with it. In the end my memory cost should be a lot less. I also got a crucial 960 GB SSD from black Friday deal for $430 which I have sitting on my desk waiting for the laptop.

answer is no one lol not until around 2015 or 2016 when skylake E comes. chances of seeing haswell E in this notebook is already slim, add ddr4 to that its close to not happening, along with sata express, no chance.

however there maybe a good chance we'll see broadwell 6c/12t mobile cpu, or maybe that comes with skylake. a die shrink lowers TDP again might just see it happen.

We will get a 12 core sample soon, but the BIOS is currently missing all code to address anything more than 8 cores, so I wouldn't get my hopes up, but let's see...

Not via multi, only if we manage to get ratio and/or BCLK unlocked...SFVogt will be getting a socket for the Chip later this week, so we will try. ;)

I'll have to compare that to the 4930k at 4.3ghz.

You will want to update the software to compare.

Hey, guys. Do you think it's possible to get 4k external displays work with P570WM at 60hz? I know there's a DP 1.1. Hdmi 1.4a is enough for 30Hz only. May be 2560x1600 at 60hz at least? Tnx
