    You need v1 LG LP173WF2 panel for 120Hz 3D and v1 or v2 LG LP173WF2 for just 120hz.

Smh... there's that hideous Windows 8 metro crap again. Really tired of everything being modeled after that rubbish. I like my smartphone on my smartphone. Don't want it on my PC >_<

Happend to me also on the first try.
Make sure you unistalled the old driver and deleted it completely from the windows driver database.
    Restart and try again!

    Hi all,
So I just took possession of my new monster and I have to say am VERY pleased. I got it without internal storage and picked up an mSATA drive to install myself. Those things are crazy small!!! Anyway, I got it without an optical drive so have 2 spare HDD spaces. Does anyone know how to access the HDD bay that replaces the Optical drive? The instructions are not that detailed...

    Cheers

Check the drivers disc for the manual.pdf, it should get you going on the right track.

It was in the extended manual on the disc, thanks for the pointer.

In other news, I ran 3DMark, not sure which one, I just downloaded the latest. And got

    Icestorm: 31750
    Cloudgate: 15481
    Fire Strike: 2840

They don't seem to compare well with others and even my old 5870. On my G73, 5870M I got

    Icestorm: 54307
    Cloud Gate: 7288
    Fire strike: 1556

Anyone got any ideas why Icestorm seems to be so low? You can see my sig for the setups. My Clevo should be smashing it compared to the Asus.

EDIT: Anyway a quick update of drivers later

    Ice Storm: 106831
    Cloud Gate: 15662
    Fire Strike: 3757

    Looks a bit better :)

Hey guys having issues with my np9370

I just received this laptop on Thursday from xoticpc and im having nothing but issues.
    First things first,
    3630qm
    120hz upgrade
    8gb ram 1333
    ultimate n
    7200 rpm
    x2 7970m crossfire

currently im using everything and im very hesitant to reinstall all my own upgrades and drivers due to blue screens and I want to test the graphics before i have to return this on Monday

First day i received this I changed the processor to 3920xm, 2133 mhz kingston, 2x 840 samsung pro 256gb.

bios fails at boot and keeps rebooting.

took out the rams and reinstalled original, works fine now

set bios to raid 0, at first i was able to get windows to install but after driver installation i get constant blue screens after 20 seconds of booting into windows.

    0x00000007E, 0xfffffffffc0000005, ox0000000000000000, 0xfffff880089e2848, 0xfffff880089e20a0

After some searching and asking a friend who is a computer engineer, this error is most common with raid issues. (So that's a big negative for me right there because i want raid 0)

after rebooting from blue screen raid configuration shows errors on drive0. (reinstalled a few times same thing)

figured i needed to upgrade samsung firmware. so done, back to raid 0 now windows install gets stuck at installation and can't complete install. reboot and drive0 errors again.

thinking maybe one of the ssd has gone bad(bought them at separate times) exchanged both of them and same thing all over again.

so there goes the raid. so set bios to achi mode and reinstall windows, installs fine. boots into windows install drivers and windows updates, then reboots after install and 20 seconds later blue screens with same error code.

so took out the cpu and both samsung ssds and put in stock 7200rpm and 3630qm. (cpu is also not the problem because i had it in my np9150 for a while and it worked flawlessly, figured i was going to return it anyway due to raid issues)

so now its working OK but i havn't installed any driver/windows update.

so now working in windows 7, I can't set the monitor to refresh at 120hz. it won't give me the option. Monitor Name:LG Philips [Unknown Model: LGD02C5] ati ccc show that it is 120hz capable but won't let me set to 120hz
there's only boarderlands 2 that lets me set it at 120 hz but playing it a few mins its still choppy with fast movements which only allows me to suspect that its not running at 120hz. i couldn't find any drivers or google much info for this monitor screen.

So yeh 4 days later im running whatever i originally ordered with only a few basic drivers so it doesn't blue screen on me.

Im suspecting that the sata port or raid controller is faulty and monitor wise i just don't know. If anyone have any thoughts on how things might be fixed please let me know cause im ready to ship this laptop back tomorrow

Just so you know, the only systems to support 2133mhz are the alienware machines and a couple of odd smaller clevo ones ;)

    Hey guys,

Thank you for all the infomation on the repasting and general heat issues.

If someone does a video on the tear down of this machine I would definitely be up for doing it myself. Sending it in to be done is not really an option for me only because of the potential time it could take. Also it sounds like it's a job that should be done by yourself so you are 100% sure it is done properly. As for the heat issues with my graphics cards it was purely the build up of dust between the heatsink rads and fans.

On a side note I used the free version of 3d mark to see what the was all about and scored 48th in the hall of fame! It was knocked down over a couple of days, but it was up there with alot of desk tops and most likely overclocked machines. I had a smile!

Once again thank you for all your helpful information.

I'm not sure if the new nVidia 320.18 driver issue with the 3D notebooks (Clevo, Alienware) has been mentioned here, if not:

I have a Clevo P370EM3 (680M SLI 3D Vision), and when installing this new nVidia driver release (320.18) over 314.22 I get a blank screen. I hard-shutdown, rebooted and had another blank screen. Hard-shutdown, powered on with F8 for Safe Mode, uninstalled all nVidia drivers, rebooted with F8 for Safe Mode, launched Driver-Sweeper, removed all nVidia entries, rebooted with F8 for Safe Mode, ran Everything Search Engine, deleted all files with 'nvidia' in their names, rebooted with F8 for Safe Mode, ran jv16-1.3.0.195, deleted all 'nvidia' registry entries, rebooted normally into Windows, installed 314.22, which is stable.

If one of the retailers or owners has a fix, or knows what the issue is, please let us know. I, and I'm sure other owners, do not want another Alienware M17x Version 1 nightmare, where the laptop only works with a single specific (old) nVidia driver release.
    ____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________
Unfortunately, since I don't have much time lately to browse or post on this great forum, I'll mention here that the Intel 525 mSATA SSD that replaced my Crucial M4 2.5" SSD in my P370EM3 has been randomly corrupting system files, occasionally causing Disk Check to run at boot. I do use the Intel SSD Toolbox too. My Crucial M4 didn't have this problem. I probably should have stayed away from Sandforce and tried the new Plextor mSATA SSD with the new Marvel controller, even though I'm hearing about problems with that one too. Has anyone heard when the Crucial M500 mSATA SSD with the newer Marvel controller is being released?

I've been using the updated driver for several days now with zero issues. My driver update was initiated and installed through the GeForce Experience program, choosing the Express installation option. If you are having problems, you might wanto to consider that installation option. Just my two cents.

Hi, I only have 1 gtx 680m. If I go SLI, is it worth the upgrade? I found cards on ebay costs close to $800. Anyone can reply to this by the way. Thanks you.

It's going to be a personal call as far as the performance gains being worth the cost. You get roughly 40% boost in performance if the game is SLI enabled, so it'll definitely help you get better performance in game, but only you know your finances and whether the cost benefit is there for you.

Some will say these benchmarks aren't entirely accurate but they give you a good baseline when comparing cards.

I was using ATI 15.3 beta 3 with the latest ATI CAP. I have the 7970s O/C to 900/1500 for that test. If I press the GPU pass 900 I get lockups and it resets my CPU O/C do you all think I need a dual power supply setup to press the 7970s pass the 900 mark? I am starting to think that with a dual overclock like I am doing one power supply might not be enough.

Running the GPU at 900/1500 and the CPU overlocked 400mhz the system is perfectly stable and the temps are perfect.

Different 7970M can clock quite differently on the stock voltage but you may need the dual PSU to really push them much.

Can you use the Alienware BIOS 7970 overvolt bios mods posted on techinferno on the 7970s installed in this laptop. I have read that you can and that you can't do it. Just looking for some clarification.

    Hi all,

Long time, no post. As you were all really helpful when I was looking for a new computer last year I'm hoping someone can help me again.

I'm looking for a laptop bag that will fit my XMG P722 17.3" Pro Gaming Notebook (aka Clevo P370EM / Sager NP9370), as my old Dell one from my previous system isn't wide enough. It needs to be able to fit my P722 while not being too huge, as it's got to fit in the boot of my families car with various other holiday stuff. It would also be useful if it had some padding, just to provide a bit of protection.

Can anyone please recommend any good Laptop bags that will definitely fit my XMG P722, available in the UK and that I can get in under 3 weeks please? Thank You.

    All the Best,

    Union Jack.

I can advise from experience that none of Sager's computers have TPM functionality having purchased and returned a 9370, but Mythlogic's version of the Clevo 370EM DOES have TPM(their Nyx 3712). Prema was extremely gracious and patient with me as we tried several BIOS mods on the Sager machine, thinking Sager had just disabled it, but apparently Clevo can supply a MOBO w/ or w/o TPM functionality even though their generic owner's manual would imply that it is there always. Prema and I were NOT able to get any indication that the TPM was present in the Sager MOBO. In doing research, there seems to be some ignorance on the part of some sales people as to whether it is there or not. A surprising number of people didn't even seem to know what it was.

    Hey guys / Prema,

Thought I'd jump in here to say I returned the 9370 to Sager and bought the Mythlogic Nyx 3712 BECAUSE of the TPM issue. The Mythlogic works just as advertised, TPM IS present and working and I can now use bitlocker. Prema! Thanks AGAIN for your patience and expertise. You're the best!

kMaN- The Mythlogic version of the Clevo is just better. The fingerprint software is way more functional, they don't prohibit you making mods during warranty period (like adding an SSD), and the guys I talked with are easier to understand / seemed to know what they were talking about when I asked very specific technical questions - like about the TPM.

Same as the other models, we're currently waiting for custom sBIOS/Sager supported version that allows the upgradability. Lots of different variables that are barring this currently, but as far as I know the puzzle hasn't quite been solved yet.

As a warning, I have a 3712 from Mythlogic and it does not support TPM. Whether it works on the base Clevo frame is hit and miss apparently. It is definitely not universally supported on Mythlogic's units.

Its commercial, but if one really wants encryption, bestcrypt from jetico will do boot-volume encryption on Windows 8 /w a UEFI bios w/o any need for a TPM module. (Insert conspiracy theory here about Microsoft, the NSA and jetico being based outside the U.S.) :)

If you want that acceleration it has to be the built in version though :(

If you're talking about encryption, that's incorrect. Reviews have shown 3rd party encryption vs Bitlocker is virtually identical on the newer cpu's that have AES encryption built in. The TPM module is used largely for key-storage in Bitlocker (also for 'platform trust'). The only feature you're missing in cases like bestcrypt, is that you're required to type in the password any time you reboot.
