Probably won't get an answer until the P370EM actually starts shipping.

The pricing should be somewhat similar to the former one.
As far as waiting for this 570...well...how long are you willing to wait...

As for the 370, the high temerature is my biggest concern and then the warranty. Though I heard from someone that sager guys are efficient and quick in response, still not so comfortable with sending my machine back and this's scoring it down regarding to Dell.
I am an alienware owner so I go to alienware's forum frequently, seeing so many people with all kinds of problems and sometimes...big complaints. While I don't really know how it comes to clevo... -

@zylor holy cow. That is a nice little machine you're going to play with.

Eurocom claims I should have mine by next week, only a 7 hour drive to Ottawa from here so shipping should only be a day or two.

Got my unit. Some quick benchmarks then off to bed.
Battlefield 3 @1920x1080, all maxed minus motion blur, 4xMSAA, 80 FOV. 64 player conquest server (about 20 on 20) Kharg Island
MIN-53 AVG-70 Max-113
Played for about 20 minutes, CPU max was 84c and GPU1 max was 77, plus 7-10 more for GPU2 which doesn't have a temp sensor apparently.
Crystal Disk Mark 1000mb, 5 run test.

Got mine and it's working very well. I'd love to benchmark and post some info. I've got the 3820QM and dual 680m, 16GB RAM.
What are some good tools I can use for this?
Also, one annoyance right now is the power button LED is very bright. Is this adjustable? -
momo,
I didn't order any drives through Eurocom, you have the option to subtract the HDD and buy your own drives. They include the bracket that fits the dual Sata III bay, so you can mount two drives on the one bracket. You can have a hard drive caddy installed in the optical drive slot if you wish, Eurocoms price too high so look to ebay for one. -

Hello all
I've been doing a lot of research about gaming laptops recently, from before the P370EM had been released (so I know enough about the 170EM / M17x / M18x).
I'll get right to it then. My specs will be as follows:
8320QM, 8GB (1x8) 1600 Samsung RAM, 7970M GPU.
The rest I don't believe is of consequence (Blu-Ray, Wireless etc) but rest assured all other options on the laptop are at the highest spec.
Now, I really do like the sound of the Crossfire 7970M and i'm going to disregard any and all posts about the issues it has with some games, how you can't switch back to the Intel chipset etc - my main concern is regarding the pricing.
The lowest price I can find is about £1800 from box.co.uk. It's a dual 7970M, they don't offer an option for a Single GPU in the P370EM, but mysn.de do.
My question then, is what benefit would I have to buy the laptop that is dual GPU capable, with only one GPU, but installing the second GPU in a year or so when prices (may) have reduced and games (may) require that extra bit of power? Also, what considerations do I need to make, like, I know the second fan isn't included, so where do I get it from or will it simply be sent with the card? Does anywhere actually sell the fan/heatsink combo required for this laptop if I do decide to upgrade to a second GPU?
I am seriously considering the P370EM with Crossfire 7970M rather than 680M simply due to price.
Thanks for any help

The advantage is the capability to add a second video card. If you didnt add a second card there isnt an advantage or disadvantge. When you eventually get the second GPU make sure you get the upgrade kit which will include the heat sink. For purchasing a fan you should be able to order that from your reseller, not all will offer selling one so its something you'll want to ask before making a purchase. -
If anyone else has any ideas or response I would be greatful to see it. -
-
Also following on from my posts above, there was an offer on for a Sony Blu Ray drive £29, the offer has expired now, but it got me thinking - can I just order this P370EM with the base specs and upgrade parts through eBay like the DVD to Blu Ray? Will it take pretty much any slimline Blu Ray writer as long as it's SATA?
-
Ok, Here is mine. I got it from my man Ken at GentechPC.. They, as always, take care of you. I modded it with my own custom carbon fiber mod. I made all the template and will be redoing it when more material arrive. There are a couple spot that can be larger pieces but I didn't originally have the large mats.
As for performance - incredible! There is no longer a reason to own a desktop pc.
Best, Daz

You can add me to the owners lounge. My order has been placed and now it's a waiting game..
3610qm (for now, found 3920xm for a great price) + Upgraded thermal compound
Dual 680m 4gb + Upgraded thermal compound
16gb 1600mhz RAM
Dual 128gb Crucial SSD's in Raid 0

Ordered mine finally. I went with LPC-Digital on this one, and haven't looked back. Larry's business values are from a better time, and I know them when I see them. Keep up the good fight!
Anyway, after a couple days to think it over, I changed from a single 7970M to the 680M. Yes, it's a $250 premium, but I don't mind paying it with a few things in mind. First of all, I have used Nvidia for too long now, and have been spoiled by the drivers in general, and games working/not working the way I know. Seems AMD has their own quirks, and I'm not in the mood to discover them. A game I play has never worked in windowed mode with AMD drivers, and I force the kitchen sink and then some in this game. Without forceware, I can't stand it, Nvidia cards work with this. Later on, a second 680M will net me about 10% more performance over the Xfire setup, and that's worth it to me. Also I run a GTX 580 in my desktop, and I wanted something similar in my laptop, so yeah there was that too. ( and sadly it's damn near as fast stock, and can EXCEED it OC'd )
Anyway, I'll be lugging this around with me more than I probably should, and I considered the 9150 very, very much. Since I am planning on selling my desktop rig, I wanted something with a win win, screen size, and future-proof power. I had a 9280, weighed 12 lbs dry without the power brick, so I know about what is portable, and what isn't. The 9150 is portable, but so is the 9370 for what it is. I had a gateway 6831fx, that was 9.2 lbs, I carried it around like a third arm. I had a 8690, it had 40 minutes of battery life, it lived at an outlet, and I learned the reality of the gaming laptop. Who wants to look at a dim screen anyway, and surf the web in powersaver? I can find an outlet anywhere, and I always plan around that fact anyway. -
congratulations

Can wait to upload pictures and benchmarks, and overall to just try out these Clevo/Sager's for my first time. Hopefully I won't want to send it back.

TRIM - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia -
I cant speak for Sager's but my Eurocom came with all 3 fans installed, as the extra CPU cooler uses the 3rd fan (also sucks out warm air for inside the chassis). So the upgrade kit only needs to include the card, heatsink, and cable.
So I have had my Scorpius for a little while now. I love it! It is not as heavy as I thought it would be. I have close to 24hrs of gaming on it. both GW2 and Boarderlands 2 maxed out. GPU temp never goes over 65c while gaming. I ran BitMinter for 12hrs, max GPU temp at 950Mhz core was 73c.
I have to buy a new crysis 2, as my 32 bit version (for my old desktop) loads but does not "recognize" the 7970m... also miss placed my stalker game...So I will have to get some more games to play/bench
I have shown my new laptop to everyone I know, 90% get giddy over the back lit KB lol.
Best purchase of the year -

The amount of deflection/flex when pushing/pulling on the top corner of the screen frame.
Should always move the screen by the center of the top of the lid. Never the corner... I would back hand my own mother... lol jk. -
Just ordered mine yesterday.
specs :
cpu - 3610QM
gpu - single gtx 680M
8GB RAM
500GB HDD
Can't wait to get this. Might add another HDD or an SSD later and might install another gtx680M later on. Just one is good enough for now
Really excited -
Just ordered mine from Xoticpc. Very much looking forward to getting rid of my G75 POS. On my second one in only two weeks. First was a KB issue (spacebar) second is having issues with the bezel on the display. The 660m stinks for a gaming system GPU. The 680m will be a huge difference. I am interested in seeing the difference in display quality.

Did you go with the stock screen or pick any of the upgrade options -
I do plan to post some benchmarks soon, but school is pretty busy so it has eaten a lot of my time. Got some tidbits for now:
CPU+GPU temps: At first I was concerned with the temps I was seeing, me still being in Core 2 mindset and figuring a 17.3 laptop would have a half-decent cooling system. I would say the cooling system is adequate, but I think there could have been an alternative involving not mixing the gpu+cpu. The Tmax is 105c for the 3720qm, obviously don't wanna be running that up to the max, but high 80s/low 90s are acceptable.
Prime 95 twenty minute run (using XTU with max BIN)
Max-96c Ambient temp 21c
Prime 95 twenty minute run (stock)
Max- 88c Ambient temp 21c
Prime 95 twenty minute run (using XTU with max BIN with notebook cooler)
Max-89c Ambient temp 21c
GET A COOLER! Just do it. I suspect even raising it a little with caps or something would have a decent effect for those on a budget. I still will most likely re-paste myself and see if there are any changes, but 89c at max OC is OK with me. I got the NZXT Cryo, 3x120mm fans which line up pretty perfectly with the fan design of this laptop. Haven't checked the GPU temps but I suspect a similar drop if not more(79c max GPU1, 90c max GPU 2 currently).
Drivers are rock solid, have had a few RAM related crashes due to mismatching of brands (speeds were different and I was forcing 1600 on 1333 RAM and it wasn't having it), but all games are crash free (BF3, ME2, GW2, Crysis 2, Skyrim, DOW: Retribution), I will test some more later and put up some screenies, but it will be a slow process. -
SWEET. See you on the battlefield
-
I'm definitely going to be reading this article in full on my days off to try and get a deeper understanding.
So what do you think about it, just a future driver I need to look out for? And if I disable Raid 0 I'll just have a C: and D: drive and use them separately?
Thanks a bunch,
A. -
Went with the matte finish screen. Didn't go for the other two. I wasn't planning on doing any kind of Photoshopping on the system so don't mind if the colors are a bit off or not as accurate. From what other people have been saying they were very pleased with the more basic screens. I was wondering though what motherboards are being used currently in the NP9370 builds though. Is the screen different than the ones being used in the G75s from BB? Who manufactures the screens being used and what model?

Intel tried to come out with SSD's that would support TRIM a couple years back but that didn't happen. I've read about a few other SSD that were supposed to come out that support it too but they never did. The only solution I've seen so far is with MSI and their "Super RAID" which works with mSATA drives as they use their own hardware controller to manage it.
I would change them to independent drives. SSD are so fast anyway you'll really would not see a difference in daily use and your drives will last much much longer. -
AnandTech - Intel Brings TRIM to RAID-0 SSD Arrays on 7-Series Motherboards, We Test It
Mobile boards are not officially listed for support, but as far as I can tell, TRIM is enabled on my array. -
Have ordered pretty much same laptop as u narsail , what are the best drivers for the p370em with 7970m to minimise crashes and bugs etc ? Looking forward to 10k marks on a Lappy !
