The fans change their speed depending on load. At idle it's not intrusive and the gpu fan should shut off. Like any high powered notebook the fans do get loud at load but only when they need to.

Hi, will this Clevo run on DDR3 1,5V RAM? I'll have i3-4100m CPU for the start.
-

It might be you are effectively overclocking it as the ram is always fed 1.35v regardless of what stick is put in it so it maybe unstable.

I bought this bad boy about 2 years ago through sagernotebook.com and I've been happy with it ever since. I'm running an i7-4700MQ with a GTX 770 and 8GB of RAM, but the real problem for me now is boot speed and application opening. I have a solid 1TB of HDD space but I'm looking to buy a 120GB SSD off newegg. My question is: How do I install an SSD into this laptop and how do I know which SSDs are compatible with my MoBo? I am kind of a newb at this so any input would be really appreciated before throw away $80+.
Thank you and happy holidays
Edit: I would like to keep the HDD as internal storage space and my boot, with some applications, on the SSD. -
Hey guys, how do you clean your NP8235 screen? I have a lot of finger prints, just wondering.
I'm thinking of using a soft cloth that came with my glasses, maybe put some water on it.Last edited: Dec 31, 2014 -

microfibre cloth should do any fingerprints. For bad smudges a mildly moist cloth should work.
Ebf123 likes this. -
I have this problem that at random times, the fan gets really loud of of no where. I'm just browsing and it seems like a lot of activity is going on. Do i have to clean the fan? Is it something else?
-
Do you have something to monitor temperatures? Also keep an eye on CPU usage if you haven't already. You can also check processor power management for high minimum CPU usage.

Having the same problem as Ebf123.

It doesn't take much to trigger the fans sometimes. Stick enough background processes in the computer and the usage is going to line up enough to spin up the fans pretty often.

Hi all just wanted to see if anyone could help me out, wanted to know if there was a way with the P151SM1 to disable the integrated graphics from the bios? I'm not sure I have the option from there, but my motivation is strictly to get homeworld remastered to finally recognize that there's a 770m on my system. I've tried a bunch of other stuff to get this game to work with no luck, graphically anyway.
Thanks! -

You can't disable the igp without turning off the internal display and rendering out outputs useless since it's all routed through the igp.

Hi, does anyone know how to set the function keys as default? What i mean by default is being able to change volume or brightness with f5-f9 without pressing down the fn key. Thanks!

Hi all! looking for some help regarding my RAM for my Horize P151SM1. I currently have 16GB (2x8GB) and one of the sticks is low voltage 1.35v and the other 1.5v. The laptop run fine from what I can see, just wondering if this is ok?
Also looking to upgrade to 32GB for video editing which would mean adding 16GB under the keyboard, has anyone done this? Thank you for any help, below are the specs.

All sticks you put in this machine will be given 1.35v meaning your 1.5v stick is being undervolted and may not be stable.
4x 8GB DDR3L is a supported configuration. -

What exactly happened to make you re-install? Have you got the intel IGP drivers installed?
-
I don't know what drivers are installed in the basic windows 8/10 system
the company I bought it from has now closed down and cant help me. any chance you guys have a version of windows with drivers installed that I can just download?Last edited: Dec 27, 2016 -

Sadly OS images is not something I can hand out. However go to intel and download the latest integrated drivers as they have to be installed before the dedicated drivers can be.

How would I know which integrated drivers I would need? like are they for all the individual components or just for graphics?
