It does have multitouch, works great for me. Try installing drivers if need he and if you are still having trouble contact your seller, it may have a faulty pad

Ah, yep. It was drivers. I'm wondering, is there any way I could enable a right click on the pad? For example, with an apple machine one can tap and hold with one finger, and then tap with a second finger to right click. I would like to set something like this up (or at least a 3 fingered tap) However, in the settings, I cannot set 3 finger tap to right click. Any ideas?

thats because this isnt Mac OS, they dont have a right click button on their mouses or touchpads because they just never have, windows has always had a right click on all its pointing tools, idk why ud want to make things more complicated the way Mac OS has to do it.

but i doubt the drivers would allow that kind of setup, maybe u can find some kind of 3rd party software that will allow u to do that, idk

I believe it can only do up to 4GB at a time. If you have more than that, say 2x 4GB sticks, just test one stick at a time.

Can anyone pm me the overcoming thread for NVIDIA graphics, gonna oc the 330m to hopefully get a little more power out of it. I'm running starcraft 2 on native fhd resolution with a blend of ugh settings and low for terrain and gpu intensive options. Hoping to push up a little since I'm holding 60 fps normally, 30 fps battle.

I just reordered from Xotic, I asked for shipping to this place U.S. Address to save around $70 on brokerage charges from UPS, and I go there at least once a month. Savin $100 on shipping and brokerage charges is always good :)
Not sure where you're from but if it's close you might give it a try if it's close to you.

UPS Express 1-4 Business Days (Avoids UPS Brokerage Fees) $129
UPS Express Expedited 1-4 Business days (Avoids UPS Brokerage Fees) $139

these will save brokerage charges for you, you will just have to pay the tax when the laptop gets to you, but fyi, cheapest one is still $100 more than UPS ground, so you're paying the brokerage fee anyway :)
    where you located anyway ?

Mine should be in by the end of the week since according to Xoticpc, I am the first in line when the 1080p screens come in. I will try to get a few pictures before I am off to Europe. Hopefully there are no setbacks and I can take the laptop on my trip.

I can't actually answer your question, sorry. I'm just directing this question to you. Have you had any trouble with your USB 3.0 port? I got a Mybook 3.0 and it works fine with the other USB ports and also my Desktop's USB ports, but with the one on this laptop it disconnects intermittently for no apparent reason. I would hate to RMA this especially since these are on backorder and I leave in two weeks, but if my port is faulty I will have to.

I also had two BSOD's already with the error being APC_INDEX_MISMATCH which sounds like a hardware issue to me. Any ideas? I'm going to contact Justin to see about an RMA sometime today.

I take it this goes the same for the NP7110? Because in the checkout cart, it just charges you $60 extra saying its normally 120 even though it says when ordering the 5125.. these are pretty much the same computer except the 7110 just has a larger screen so im assuming the battery goes for the same deal as the 5125 am i correct?

Is it worth to upgrade the
    Built-in 802.11 Wireless B/G/N - Stock Wireless Card to
    Intel® Advanced-N 6200 - 802.11A/B/G/N Wireless LAN Module ( + 20 ) ?

What is the difference between them ?
And what is the advantage of $20 upgrade ?

Sorry...But that was not the relevant answer I'm looking for. That was comparing N 6300 Vs N 6200.

But I'm asking about the default b/g/n Vs Intel N 6200 a/b/g/n card.

    default has 1 antenna, 6200 has 2, 6300 has 3
more antennas = faster, unlikely to drop signals

Hells yeah, dude. I was going to get the 6200 but figured $10-15 more for the 6300 is justifiable .. it's like 1% of the total machine value for the top card.

Yeah I read that as well. I've pretty much made up my mind at this point and am ordering the NP5125 tonight. The info on the Asus just seems too iffy and the Sager fits my needs perfectly. I just hope it can be built and shipped in time before I move to Vancouver in 3 weeks.

Any update on the Sager FHD screen availability?

The webcam is of average quality and is static, so it does not have any sort of tilt/pan feature

Has anyone here ordered the NP7110 on here (besides me of course)? I am buying this laptop mainly for my work because I am a web designer so screen real estate is more important then a tiny bit better performance with a tad bit smaller screen.

I will be using this for gaming every now and then but for very light games like DotA (warcraft III engine) and Counter Strike Source. Mainly using this with CS5 Programs like Dreamweaver and Photoshop with a little bit of Sony Vegas on the side. Not looking to be playing any crisis or anything so i found the NP7110 to be great for my needs and pretty much the exact same price for the same computer but with a 17.3" screen over the 15.4" screen the NP5125 has it seemed like a no brainer... or am i missing something?

Any answers or ideas would be great because i don't understand why it seems like everyone is ordering the NP5125 and no one seems to want the larger screened exact same computer NP7110..?

I travel, I work, I lounge around, I lay down, I move, I stand up, I walk around, I show people stuff... I do all of this with a laptop. I almost always have a laptop with me.

    My priorities are in order...
Screen Resolution, Weight, Battery Life, Hardware, Looks, Size

17inch is just that much larger, that much heavier, and my very nice laptop bag is for 15". Not only things like that but my eyes are use to 1920x1280 on a 15".

I also would assume that the 17" is more expensive although price means absolutely nothing to me, I spend what I must to have the functionality I require.

Oh jeeze sumik, you really went with the basic hah :p course i got sucked into the better wireless card and battery which hit me up with a nice extra $100 and i had to get an OS on this or I would have to wait 3 weeks for school to start and get a discounted version from them. The processor seemed like a no brainer because its just a tiny upgrade from the stock but its a pretty decent GHz jump for the small fee of $60. All in all, I should have gone with the cash rebate n saved an extra $35 but I am just too impatient and that would have taken an extra few days for processing n everything so the total bill came out to just around $1,200 :p

yes, this one is for brother in law which goes to college in Europe, he's low on cash and this is all he could afford.
Cpu I opted to leave it as is, it should be more than enough for him.
Wireless is not as popular where he's from
Os I forgot and I just msg Justin to add it to order.
When I get this machine I will test it out with.....starcraft2, badcompany2, global agenda, tf2 and whatever else I will grab in the meantime.

Thats'a good thing you caught the OS wasn't there before it shipped.. imagine getting it all excited to test it out with games n see how it runs.. and it has no OS.. you would have to go fork out like $150 at the store n be angry..

Lookin forward to hearing how the games you test out run! [:

The stock wireless on this machine is by no means bad, I've had a few customers order it and from my experience it was able to hold a very good connection with both our router and the unsecured router of a business across the street.

Personally, I'm interested in dual booting Ubuntu and Win7. I've seen the videos of the Ubuntu 3D desktop thing and it looks so sick. I'm hoping the dual boot isn't difficult to figure out ... I've already downloaded Ubuntu 10.04 and obviously have Win7 lying around.

I know Podari said he HAD to buy an OS due to his school network but, outside of that do people actually purchase them? I can't think of a single person I know that's bought an OS outside of business licenses. Hell, I worked in a retail computer store for 8 months between undergrad and grad school and can only think of a handful of times that an OS was purchased.

Dual-booting is actually really easy - just partition your hard drive, install Ubuntu to the free partition, and when you turn on your computer you will automatically be asked which OS you want to boot into.
