Hey just wanna ask is there anyone else who had to send back their 8660 to sager or other seller within the first week or anytime cause i never read anything about it. Or is it just me ?
-
Any1 know how i can eject the entire CD drive of the laptop because ive got a CD jammed into the drive and it on't come out in the tray when i tell it to eject the CD.
-
if you look at the manual there is a another way to eject the cd-row its kinda like a reset type button
-
Should be a small pin hole on the face of the drive for a manual eject . take a paperclip and push it in there . if you mean removing the whole drive from the machine theres usually just one screw holding the drive down to the chasis and it will slide right out.
-
i do mean ejecting the whole drive. any1 able to tell me which screw it could be and where i could find it? thanks ppl
-
think i've found it in the service manual, thanks ppl
-
Guys I just notice that I have 4 missing screw to hold the bottom panel lol... thats why it was floppy, what should I do? can I ask the reseller extra screw? lol
-
-
Just a quick update, got the dvd out without having to open anything up. Was between the DVD drive and the chassis god knows how it got stuck in there but easily came out with tweasers so problem solved
-
uhhh guys I never had this problem but, where do I turn on the wireless switch? or something like that. I cannot find it
-
fn+f11 I think, I'm not with the notebook now so I'm not sure
-
Yep its Fn+f11 but now
it does not connect, it says this when I diagnose it
This computer does not have a wireless network adapter installed and configured
????? -
Try reinstalling the drivers?
-
Mine arrived this afternoon - will be posting a short review as soon as I can!!!
-
Hello everybody,
I ordered mine 2 days ago, it is a xxodd(strange name butthat's what it called in Holland) so the specs may be a little diferent.
This is what I'm getting:
core 2 duo T9600
nVidia GeForce 9600m GT 512MB GDDR3
4 GB DDR3 1066MHz (2x 2GB)
320 GB SATA HD 7200 RPM (16 Mb cache)
32 GB flashdrive
windows XP home
I hope to pick it up this saterday or next week!!!!! -
I just thought of something: how can a programm such as RMclock measure the precise temp. of f i your HDD. Does it come with little guy's running around the inside of your notebook ??
-
Congrats wijnoost.
One question though,
How come you went with T9600+ 9600M GT?
Might've wanted to go for P9500+9800M GTS. -
Thanks semigamer,
I wanted to get as much speed and power as possible, grafics are not that important to me. I'll be using it as a daw, with a fireface 800 and a pair of focusrite octopre LE's connected to it. -
-
The notebook is will be my mobile Digital Audio Workstation(sorry, I don't game ), along with the RME fireface(external audio card) and the focusrite's(mike preamps). RAM and a fast HDD are more important to me then the grafics; the 9600m GT will do the job for me.
BTW, is anybody using an 860TU this way, for recording audio(24 tracks at once) ?? -
Oh I see, congrats on your new audio station than I should say
I've never done audio work but if you look at the specs of studio type laptops they're the same, if not less specs than yours so I don't see why it wouldn't perform greatly.
But don't hold me against that since I've never used any laptop for recording, fireface, etc. -
Thanks again semigamer! A I won't hold it against you
-
I just ordered my XXod XNI-860tu with the 9800M GTS, can't wait till it get's here
-
Good for you! I guess you're living in Holland than?
-
-
This may have been asked already.... I've just recieved my M860TU and there seem to be a lot of talk on the forums about updating driver to keep GPU/HDD temps down. But this sems to be mainly if running XP. Can anyone advise the best driver updates from Vista 64bit
-
@ Idle HDD is 41c and GPU 42c. but had a look after playing Crysis and HDD was in the mid 60's and GPU was at 67c and CPU 1 & 2 where in the mid 50's
Are these ok operating temp? -
Those CPU & GPU temps are excellent, but the HDD seems a bit hot at mid 60s
-
-
my toshiba HDD never went up to 49 celcius
graphic card 73 degree
TZ0 73 degree ( whats that?)
the only thing that annoying me... the buzzing that is killing me -
-
-
cool, thanks for that livesoft. I'll give it go..
nice job on the M860TU review aswell -
Anyone know any overclocking guides for CPU and GPU ?
-
Now how is it possible that I'm running Crysis Warhead on 1920x1200 on 24inch monitor everything on enthusiast (except post processing and shaders) and I get a really decent fps, (a little laggy but still) if I overclocked CPU(p8600 ] and GPU just a little it would be awesome! **** ! Keep in mind I'm runing XP and find it way better to game on I wouldn't be dreaming on such results on Vista. /also Fallout 3 on High I get awesome FPS . I wanna overclock ))
-
Welcome Wiknoost.
When expected to have your system? -
Thanks semigamer! I thought it would be yesterday. My local reseller ordered a barebone 2 weeks ago so I could see it, mainly because the firewire connection is near the touchpad and I'll be using that connection a lot. When I decided to buy it he said he would order the parts and put it together himself. BUT, HOWEVER, because I had 8 days extra pixel guaranty, the importer (X2S I think) would not allow that
So they had to send the barebone back to the importer where the system will be build. So now I'm hoping to pick it up early next week??!! -
Eh that really bites.
Well as the saying goes,
Hope for the best, Plan for the worse. -
-
-
Hey deathwinger, thanks for the reply. I had to take a look at it first because the firewire port will be used all the time the machine is on (and I'll use the touchpad). But anyway I have wait a while longer to really start it up
-
Yup atleast you can call yourself an owner in a way -
-
Hey semigamer, yes an owner in a very, very small way
-
-
Is there anything to see if my laptop is healthy? Because, each time I play games and then I stop playing I see that my laptop is slower and takes time to open stuff, ( internet, programs, word excel... )
-
P.S. Instead of posting numbers or posts, you can just quote what your replying to in one post, like I did here with you and Robvya. -
so, I'm playing around with my brand spanking new m860tu, and it's fantastic! I'll be doing up a small 'mini-review- eventually, but for now, to answer some questions:
1) I ordered my laptop without webcam installed (from Eurocom), but go figure, they sent me a laptop with one installed anyways at no extra cost! sweet bonus!
2) I also ordered my laptop without the fingerprint reader. There is no 'hole' where the reader was supposed to be. I will eventually take pictures, but it looks like my laptop has a different top panel because there isn't even a spot where the fingerprint reader would be.
-------
I have 2 quick questions:
1) Did that HD fix for Vista (hot HD's)ever prove to be successful/helpful?
2) I'm getting this extremely annoying high pitched buzzing sound. I do not have a bluetooth module installed, but the noise is coming from the right palm rest area (HD). Anyone have any idea what is causing this and what I can do?
I love my new laptop! -
yea im in the same boat as you alyh ... the **** buzzing noise... same place. You will hear morse code later on while you play with it
-
it seems to have temporarily gone away.... did you call Eurocom and see what they had to say?
