    Well, that was what I thought, but then I restarted and found that it still had 3GB cache....

    Why is AOE2 shutting down?

    I don't think restarting necessarily changes Vista's caching behavior. If the memory is there, it will likely cache whatever it can.

    As far as why AoE2 is shutting down goes, the first thing I would look at would be the display driver. Also, have you tried checking out the AoE2 forums?

    Also, I neglected to ask, does AoE2 shut down when you first start the game or after a period of time playing? If the former, you might look for some game config file that may have the resolution defaulting to something higher than your native display res. That's a long shot, though.

    Been on the truck for delivery for over 6.5 hours...coming from a UPS center 8 miles from my house..this is painful.

    Hmm...quick question...in my HD, I now seem to have two prgram files folders. One just called Program Files, the other called Program Files(x86). The latter contains all of my program files folders, while the former seems to only contain most of them. what's the deal?

    One is for x64 programs, other is for x86 (32bit)

    most are x86

    You are running a 64bit OS right?

    Quiet? DUDE, I think I have super-hearing, it`s not quiet for me.
    Alas,it`s still much better than the first ever firmware.
    Maybe the 5793 is really much quieter...

    It´s not quiet, no way... but it´s not the noisiest...

    But for me I prefer a noisier one than an hot downclocking one... ;)

    Well..alright, its not quiet per se...but I can't hear it over my desktop lol. And with fn+3 it's certainly quiet enough for quiet environments. With fn+1, yeah it's quite loud.

    That is Mem. However, if you enlarge the images, the numbers dont add up to even 500MB, so how is it that 30%(over 1GB) is being used?

    dont forget about the mem windows uses as system cache.. and prefetch etc depends how you have it set up....ESPECIALLY vista

    Well after pretty much all day of patching, finally got lord of the rings online up and running. just went and did some raiding at ultra high settings 1920x1200. This is a hell of a machine. gonna get some sleep and make my full review tomorrow.

    Callidor please please... do some proper testing. Meaning vids and benchs of the key games.. Crysis, assassin's creed, bioshock etc.. (assuming you have them). A bench of lord of the rings online doesn't really help people see the performance of the 5793. Thanks man.

    I would prefer to see it all on the notebook I'm interested in getting. Including how it looks, all its features etc. There is really no substitute for a good video review like Ken does for Asus notebooks.

    Yeah I asked them if they would price match as I had found another site selling the same config for cheaper. The quickly kept their word and in addition lowered the price on the 8800GTX.

    Justin W and crew over there are awesome. They are also a large part of keeping me from making a huge mistake and getting an AW m15x!
