    Read it again:

" Within 2H 2014, a bulk of Intel's Core mobile processor lineup will be based on the silicon, including H-series (for desktop replacements and all-in-one desktops, BGA), U (for Ultrabooks), Y (for tablets), and QM/XM (for mainstream notebooks)."

" It's the common desktop platform that's shortchanged by Intel. There won't be socketed Core "Broadwell" CPUs any time in 2014. They'll probably arrive in 2015"

Yeah, but 2h 2014 is a huge time frame, IMO it's going to be late H2 if at all.

I agree, sounds like closer to end of year than traditional summer time release. In any case I should be happy with a Haswell refresh/Broadwell SLI 17" SLI system Q2 2014.

No, only the mobile sockets and 2011, the 1155/1150 offer no advantage over the mobile chips.

    Hi People,
I have just received my P375SM(Eurocom X7) barebones.
My next task is to buy the Core i7- 4700MQ CPU but i wanted to know if the system would work without a GPU.
The seller on Ebay told me it would not work but this CPU comes with an integrated GPU.
Can someone with knowledge of this matter please let me know. Thanks

    Hi Wabbz111,

Your Eurocom X7 will not work without a GPU installed, regardless of integrated GPU on the intel chip. I just confirmed with our production team of this. We offer some GPU options on our Ebay store that you may be interested in.

Regards, Steve Conrad, Sales & Marketing, Eurocom

The integrated GPU is indeed disabled on this model, also Steve I suggest contacting a mod regarding the status of your account and have a look over the forum rules.

You may have to disable trackpad backlight along with it, but I can't say for sure.

Yeah you'd need to disconnect the cable. I guess this was a bit of an oversight by clevo, who aren't really used to making flashiness.

    Hi SteveConr,
I have had the Eurocom X7 for about 2 months now and its working well but the trackpad lights and the top case/logo lights do not work at all.
I have installed the hotkey driver and the keyboard background utility the keyboard lights and power buttonlights are working fine(however my power button does not have the fancy logo like HTwingnut's)
I am running Windows 7 32bit and have a Core i7 4700MQ and a AMD 4GB 8970m. I wanted to know if and how these lights can be made to work. Thanks
