I know this is asked before but my laptop died; mainboard, power problems or short curcuit protection. I dont know. I had to transform it a desktop. So i need a laptop for master in university (can i use 9400f for P750DM-G ?) It has an igpu disabled by hardware. I could not find old i5 6500 and this is the most unexpensive choice right now and i have to give up with prema bios for this.

Hi All,
I have upgraded my 870dm3 (in my signature) to latest dsanke bios, but realized a wierd stuff with sata controller. Under the gpu (left side) sata, no matter what I put in it is not recognized by the laptop.
I have 2x samsung 860pro sata ssd under the keyboard (both work fine) and 2x hdd.
Seems one sata (under the left gpu) is not working... I have tried to take out the sata ssd or replace the hdd, nothing helped... seems odd to me that one sata is broken...
Do you have any clue what the issue could be?
thx in advance -

Does it look physically ok? Are you sure it's plugging in fully?

Well does the disk appear in BIOS? did you test another disk in that same port?? Your issue (not 100% sure) isn't new but most likely @dsanke can give ya feedback. Try rolling back to a previous version of the BIOS with a programmer and see if it works. Maybe it's something that changed from TM1 to DM3 (that was the way me and @dsanke were discovered the issue about type-c ports not working on P775DM3-G and solved it)
-
The bios does not recognized one sata port. Prior dsanke bios it was working. I am using 1.07.15 version. Thx for the recommendaton, I will try .14 and .16 verion (the readme say .16, however I see a May version in the zip which is 15.) -

It may also be a bios issue though (maybe it didn’t flash properly) try the original style note one -

When dsanke released his 1.07.24 from TM1 there was a setting that in DM3 comes as default and he didn't notice after that 1.07.24, so, all BIOS after that one until the latest: 1.07.29 made the type c ports not work. We discovered it was a setting that by default on TM1 bios its different from DM3.
Give it a try and maybe he can check what changed from the previous versions. I don't have issues in the P775DM3-G model but something can be off in the version you have and not get ported properly from TM1

There he writes support for eu processors, and different codes. I do not understand yet. Does this bios support, will this processor work on my laptop, from laptop processors.
