Definitely needs more power either via BIOS, XTU, TS or a combination thereof. top temps of 83-85 shows it isn't thermal throttling.

You can start by adding a + offset via BIOS. I haven't used Dsanke since I had my P870DM-G, so I can't recall if you get full access to PL and LL.

Run Throttlestop's own benchmark tool and it's integrated monitoring tool limit Reasons ( as the example show). See whats light up and then change needed settings... Or post screenshoots/questions in the TS guide.

So you basically went in and set every power setting to max in case and let it fly and you're stuck @ 3.7 under load with a max temp of 83?

What was it achieving at total stock settings?

Set your BIOS settings to defaults, because 3.6Ghz is base clock, seems like you disable Turbo Boost either on TS, or on the BIOS, did you limit your max performance on Windows battery settings to less than 100%, if so that will not allow the CPU to turn turbo boost on..

Since you had the problem for some time, could you explain how/what did you do to fix it, so if anyone has the same problem there is a solution for them as well?

Only way is to shunt mod your GPU.

    Done.
Surprisingly the i9 9900kf is very well behaved thermally.
Here are test runs of AC oddysey on i7-7700 vs i9-9900kf (clevo p775dm3 with GTX 1080) :

As already mentioned, lost all fancy audio profiles with soundblaster XIFI software.
    Fingerprint reader also not working.
    Any fix for these ?

Also, any point in upgrading to RTX 2080 ?

@senso "Only way is to shunt mod your GPU" ==> THIS IS ******** ! Check this Thread ! http://forum.notebookreview.com/threads/hp-omen-17-2019-rtx-2080-vbios-modding-190w.830760/
You can move the power limit to 200w and OC you RTX 2080 ! I use this mod every day and is WORKS !!!

@KLICHO the USB C dosen't works is really a bug of the bios and dsanke dosen't patch this bug. About the Vr use this : 120A so try 480 beacuase the regalge of bios is in steps of 0.25 so... 120 * 4 = 480 ! For the Power limit 1 : 95 000 and Power limit 2 : 165 000W (max) stock is 131 000 W

proof of what i say... Check the picture ! upload_2020-9-29_16-8-20.png

And you loose HDMI/DP ports, that VBIOS isn't a magical solution, only solution that works and keeps all the output ports working is shunt mod.

    Hello,

I have a P775-DM3 (G) (with 7700K ES and 1080) and today I tried to flash the bios, since i plan to put a 9700k in it.

But when I want to flash the new bios, i have this error, and I cant go any further.

Any idea how to solve this ? I followed all the steps correctly, my GOP is 0x30006 and I put the right bios file in the USB stick.

    Thanks in advance

EDIT : Nevermind, all I had was simply write the name of the file instead of BIOS.bin
Flash has worked flawlessly, waiting for my 9700k.

I lost G-sync though, is that normal ? I have the lgd046e 75 Hz panel.

Does the bios here support 8700k CPU? There is another thread that is labeled as official http://forum.notebookreview.com/thr...e-clevo-lga1151-laptops.821694/#post-10812899
but not sure what is the clear cut difference. I am looking to use an 8700K on my P870DM3 (6700K). and wanted to know which thread I should download my respective Bios from? or are they the same with which ever thread I follow?
    Thanks

    EDIT:
disregard found what I was looking for

This might be an offtopic here, but, I have an issue with latest windows update and audio drivers on my P751DM2-G clevo, the sound is lower than it was before.

Except that after windows did it's own updates by itself, old audio driver would no longer work properly, got the official one from Realtek, the ALC898, works properly, audio ports recognized properly but the overall sound is like 70% of what it was before and this is annoying. Other thing is that now the Realtek manager is under windows settings and not in it's own system tray.

Also tried P7xxTM audio driver with it's soundblaster connect 2, and same low volume audio in headset and speakers.

    Anyone else experiencing same problem?

It depends which version of the BIOS you flashed, in my experience. The one that explicitly supports RTX and drops support for older CPUs (e.g. 6th generation) gave me back GSync where the previous BIOS did not support it.

I just updated the bios and upgraded my 870tm_1 from 8700k to i9-9900k and now my pc just startsup real fast and powers off within 1 min. i used new thermal paste from kyyonaut. How do i reset the new bios? I think its running to fast on startup and powering down due to temps. also there is a weird rainbow lines on the laptop screen and when i connect a monitor the monitor does come on. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you to thoose who helped me before

A>Hold down Fn+D when turning on till you get a BIOS/CMOS reset indicator

B>Open it up and remove the battery and cmos battery under the keyboard and press power for 20-30 seconds

    Then starts the thermal challenge.....

I did both and it still just powers on and the fans run crazy and then it turns off in 1 min. Maybe i put to much thermal paste? I'll take a video and post to see if anyone have any thoughts. i ordered thermal pads to use instead of using the thermal paste. Anyone use thermal pads instead of the aste? Also anyone have any thoughts why it would behave like this. It must be a power issue but i can't even get into the boid or see it clear. It just a bunch of rainbow pixels

What happens when you switch back to your old processor?

Rainbow pixels indicates a potential GPU issue. It could be your GPU since you did have to remove the GPU heatsink to get to the CPU heatsink.

What was on the GPU and CPU before?

Too much thermal paste wouldn't cause this.

Go ahead and post a video

Unless the thick ones need doing a sheet of each 0.5mm, 1mm and 1.5mm does the trick.

As I have said to others you are best going through each sections going from thinnest to thickest to figure out what YOUR heatsink has, a 0.5mm improvement can net 12C lower temps under load.

    Guys,
Could you help me some bios setting? I have put i9 9900 (delided) in my 775dm3 with dsanke bios. I use the following settings in Throttlestop.
    - Iccmac to 255
    - P1 P2 limit to 255
    - cpu -125mV
    - cpu cache -50mV
    - all core 4,2Ghz
I have tested with Aida, I had 70-75C under stress, P95 small FFT similar.

How can I set these settings in the bios? When I set P1 P2 to 255W, all core 4,2Ghz, -125mV and start p95 FFT the laptop switches off in 1-2 sec. I tried vr current limit to 0 (auto) and 1020 but no changes.

I would like to exclude TS and use bios setting, but sthing is not right.

    thanks a lot!

Hi! Maybe you know what can be done with EDP throttle and VR current throttle? Not much options in Bios for power limits.
Also these provided Vbios cannot be modded with Pascal TDP tweaker , if modded and flashed with programmer then screen is not working.
