Use Msi afterburner. More features too

Other than lid led strips (model and personality dependent) there is no reason to use ccc

Actually never go seriously to overclock GPU/CPU or memory....but I want too !!!

My original Phoenix (P870DM-G) was on Freezer for long time till find the awesome thread about Coffe LAke CPU´s...now I sold it and buy the Phoenix II (n my case the P870DM2) and I love it (even so, no matter how much love it there is overclocking to come)

Can anyone tell me the size of screws required for the RTX 2080 mxm Graphic card since the seller forgot to add them. The 2 Screws required for internal install. (The ones already there are kinda bad so can't use them again)

Swapped the touchpad and its working. Also, the 980m was a dud so I bought a 6 gig msi 1060 card. It lets the laptop boot but I get a black screen. When I plug an external monitor in it works. Nvidia control panel can see the thing. I updated the gop of my vbios and I get the same results. Tried it in another p750dm for verification. Any ideas?

Which type of 1060? Any pictures of it?
In my p750dm I got image on my internal panel with some gigabyte 1070 which I upgraded from 1060, card is still waiting for one vram chip but it posts on internal screen still.

It's an MSI g sync 1060 apparently. Not sure if that's the difference as I have a 120 hz edp panel that isn't gsync.

I've tried the bios that was included but that made it display nothing even through the ports. Ended up taking my own vbios as it was under on the gop and updating it. I can get external display but not internal. The 980m works just at crap speeds due to issues with that card

Also tried the regular Pascal coffee lake bios just to make sure it wasn't this system bios
Standard shaped. I didn't want to experiment

Just be sure to take a backup of the vbios before experimenting with any others.

The backup is so you can always at least get back to this state. Then you can experiment with different files.

Finally updated from 1.07.26 to 1.07.27 in my P775DM3-G and all is working but the type-c ports. (no data thru them).

Apart from that all works flawlessly :)

Managed to find a different version of nvflash and got the non gsync bios to flash. That outputs to the LCD but throws a code 43 error and the gsync version doesn't flash with it

It takes a standard length of time, it's a fast post. Apparently using a different version of nvflash with the non gsync bios worked and I have my lcd now, any driver newer than 378.92 makes it throw a code 43 error.

I did note that with the stock bios my lcd was being seen in the Nvidia control panel as a display port connected screen rather than the type being laptop LCD like it says now.

Gsync would enable with the g-sync bios. I did also note that the 1060 g-sync bios when I tried to use that version of nvflash, the vendor and board IDs are way different. Like 1558 instead of 10de

Never seen this type of card in a p751dm yet.
Could even be that config resistors play a role in this case.

    Hi there.
I've done the flash (the 2nd times) and it works fine, thanks. But the first time i did it i flashed the wrong chip, so I flashed this one under the GPU witch is exactly like the BIOS one. Could someone (who got a p870km) send me the good firmware for this chip ?
    PC: Clevo p870km1 sli GTX1080 7700k 64GB 2To PCIe.

Looks like 1558 is clevos vendor id from what I found. Meaning the bios has to be over riding the ID's from the board. I wonder if I can find a clevo 1060 vbios that'd work on it.

Also looks like I do in fact have a non gsync card according to the device IDs I'm pulling as well. Not sure why the stock had it enabled

I have tested your 1.07.27 modded BIOS today on P775TM1-G, and noticed that disabling ME from unlocked BIOS Setup options will prevent system from starting.
In addition, I have noticed that running mesetx64.efi from UEFI shell will disable ME until next boot (system must be powered off).
May I suggest analyzing this program in IDA and integrating any necessary changes in a future modded BIOS, if possible, so that ME can be properly disabled in BIOS Setup?

Wow I gotta try this on my P7700-DM, i76700k. Means I gotta sacrifice my laptop's current prema bios. Anyone tried it on a Batman machine, and if so, how were the thermals?

Well of course my liquid metal ran and cooked my motherboard. Used my original one that gave me touchpad problems and well, still having problems even when I swapped my new/working touchpad over so it is definitely an issue with the motherboard. Not sure what could be causing issues with the ps/2 bus

Hi, could someone help me here?
My laptop's motherboard model is W65KJ1_KK1 (the laptop model is W650kk1), and the laptop has a gtx 1050 ti. However, I can't follow the preliminary steps for 'ALL gtx 1000 card users' because I get the error "ERROR: Supported EEPROM not found" when I run the Check_GOP_Version.bat. Plus, there is nothing for the gtx 1050 ti in the vbios folder. What should I do? Is my laptop still compatible?

Hello and thank you for your response. Do you think I could skip the vbios step and go through with this process? I believe I've heard of other w650kk1's that have been upgraded to coffee lake, I'm just not completely sure if I'd need to find an alternative to flash a vbios. Thank you again.
