Thanks for the reply.
I recently bought a PC Advisor magazine which said "launched on or before August 7 during the Gamescom conference in Cologne, Germany, which runs from August 5 to 9".
In your opinion (without disclosing Skylake information) is it worth holding back on buying a new laptop if someone was planning on purchasing towards the end of August?
I guess time will tell...though I'm also curious on peoples opinions, not just hard facts.

The Skylake launch of "on or before August 7 during Gamescom" is pretty widely known to be an "accurate rumour", so all I can say is to wait for that launch and then we can tell you a lot more

Coming from a really bad experience with CEG ( http://forum.notebookreview.com/threads/bad-experience-with-ceg.780875/) i went ahead with XMG/Mysn and bought a P751ZM.
Great experience. Great pre and after-sales support (hope it continues that way ), great service, great communication. Totally recommended despite their higher prices. Thanks @XMG !SergiBoix and clevo-extreme like this. -
Hey guys, so I've come here for an update on my XMG P723.
Almost 2 years on and its running sweet as pie still, got Windows 10 on it atm. Upgraded my HDD to Samsung M9T 2TB, the SSD is still the same. Upped the RAM by 8GB, got some Kingston HyperX Black 2133mhz 2x4GB sticks. Now I just need to figure out how to OC my Crucial Ballistix 1600mhz RAM. -
I'm on the market for a new laptop. Was looking at either the A505 or the P505 (although this one gets a bit out of budget). Any news on Skylake or any upcoming promotion on these models ?
Thanks! -
@Demanth Hi - it's all under NDA still so we aren't allowed to start selling them yet, however the new A series will be available very very soon

@XMG, any idea what happened to Mysn.se? It keeps redirecting me to Mysn.de... Planning to buy the P750DM, but prefer buying from a Swedish reseller.

It's taking longer than expected to get the affected websites back online, in the mean time you can buy from mysn.de or mysn.co.uk
All laptops are built in the main production facility in Germany anyway, so you'll get the same service no matter which website you actually buy through.steberg likes this. -
Hi guys,
I currently have a XMG P504 for almost a year now and very happy with it so far with minimal issues and played all my games flawlessly. Now the reason why I opted for the P504 was for the potential to upgrade the GPU, I'm currently on the GTX 970m and was looking to upgrade to the GTX 980m further down the line and was told that wasn't possible from Mysn.
Is that correct? I'm sure the GPU was not integrated...
Also has anyone who has a XMG laptop upgraded to Windows 10 yet? I'm still at the validation stage... -
@wilpang - Hi!
To clarify (my colleague remembers the Live Chat conversation with you earlier today) it isn't that the upgrade is not possible, only that we don't have any 980M GPUs available at the moment which we could sell as an upgrade. This is why we suggested some alternative and trustworthy sources to buy the GPU from, but we did say that we could install it in your laptop for you if needed.
Regarding the upgrade to Windows 10, many of our customers have done so without any problems at all. There is a thread here about people who did experience an issue with the Windows 10 upgrade, but only two nbr members reported it and they aren't XMG owners. I have only mentioned this because there was some concern in the community. -
Now finding a trustworthy source is difficult as no one seems to be selling mobile GPUs but thanks for clarifying the earlier conversation with your colleague. -
