If only you knew :D We sure don't feel rich it's expensive

I will contact CS then if the Blade is the best out of the Acer/Asus/MSI refreshes for my needs. I found a youtube video that lets you mod the BIOS so you can change the fan curve(idk if it's an actual curve or 3 different speeds), read it doesn't work with Synapse open though or something or if it works with the newer Blades :( Still better than 0 control

Checked other countries it jump all to one EU store, so maybe it’s costumes related, since before it was stated under price that costumes fee may effect the price on some EU countries. This (costumes fee) doesn’t have effect to main store like UK, France and Germany.

Genius :D It's like €400 cheaper now on the UK site, that's so dumb lol!

If the BIOS mod works on these laptops I think I will get this over the MSI G65/75 refresh etc. Is it okay to PM you in future if I do decide to buy one? lol

Yes agree, saw often Apple price is lower in Switzerland, i mean that Apple, like MacBook ;)
About bios moding, It was on old Blade 14, and no one be able to hack the fans curve on late 2016 and 2017 model, only on early 2016 and before seemly. Blade 15 is also fully secured, not yet see any user even be able to unlock overclocking menu like cpu undervolting. Current manual Blade 15 rpm costumize value is up from 4000 to 5000 rpm can’t go lower. On balanced mode it’s quite though I think 0, sometimes but rarely is kicking on though.

Yes MSI is more liked by tweakers here seemly. Anyway I don’t really like tweaking my Blade 15 a lot, using it mostly on default only xtu undervolting and monitoring, combined with playing around synapse for better gaming Temperature and battery life. But once other doing great things like bios moding on 2017 Model I may follow that.
Of course you can PM me, not really sure can help though lol ;)

I don't like tweaking much either, but fan noise etc control to me is very important(studying in quiet library, lectures etc without the fan cycling on and off because the fan turn on speed is just a few degrees too low etc like my old Dell 9570 and current Aero 15X I'm going to return for other reasons). I like the RB 15 over the MSI because of Windows Hello etc but I think I will be happier with the ability to set manual fan curves in the long run. Thanks :D

Some people say they have unlocked some stuff on a 2018 laptop(mostly overclocking related that didn't actually change anything), hopefully someone here will try when these are out

I live near cemetery, so I knew if it’s loud or not. Current fans rpm is for gaming to have quiter fans loudness imo. But I think they changed it, before when I’m not wrong minimum was 4500rpm on 7 months ago (I’m early adopters and synapse 3 with this Fan controller features firstly came with this model), and there’s actually lower bar to 0, but maybe they’re still considering whether unlocking it or not, since maybe it’ll come possibility some stupid users trying gaming on 0 Fans Profil lol ;)

I think being able to lower the slider to 0 would seal the deal for me, wouldn't even need to touch the BIOS then :) Any links regarding this?

Same difference :D Just add an "Advanced User" checkbox to unlock off-max rpm slider pls :(

When the fan is on automatic is the bar not grey when the fans are off?

So what are the thoughts on the 2080 model?
    Run hot and loud?
It’ll be interesting to see what reviews say. I’m hoping for the best but expecting high temps .
    I hope I’m wrong.
Question on the last 1070 model, does that run hot on loud out of the box and could things be improved with tweaks?

Since nvidia on this mentioned it’ll be 40% more power efficient and increase 20% performance compared Pascal mobile, i think it’ll be similar temperatures, but with bigger performance gap vs desktop version, maybe 2060 will perform raw similar with last 1070maxq, they’ve also similar price tag btw.
With new Synapse 3 you can choose your on rpm from 4000 to 5000.
This is the worst case on long session gaming with default thermal paste on 4800rpm for quiter fans in AC Odyssey 1440p Max setting. Undervolting with xtu -130mV, turbo boost on and no core clock limitation. Increasing fans and pushing to lower undervolting value may reduce it.
    03BC91A9-058C-4E33-B565-FE039599C003.jpeg
I’m not doing hardware tweaks yet still factory paste only dusting grills area and upgraded ssd, not seeing the needs since all games runs smoothly in g sync monitor. So far I’m not having hardware issues for 7 months owning it. Occasionally I’m using egpu setting to run multi monitor gaming nvidia surround view 5120x1440p and Ray Tracing in BFV, but the card just died again, on way to evga for second time.

Hello everyone, I saw last week Thursday, January 17 that the new razer blade advanced had been on sale until Saturday night. Do you think they will be available again soon ? I had heard about availability in Europe on January 29th.

Anyone thinks they might upgrade the Blade Base to a GTX1660Ti when they're available ?
Would be a nice little boost.

I've been out of these forums for a while I believe my last post was like several months back lol. I've gotten a new toy a Porsche 911 Turbo :p

Anyways getting back on topic, while I realize this forum is always big on the GPU's I'm actually more curious to learn about that new screen. From what I've seen on this video it doesn't appear that its reflective, which I really like.

That on is oled prototype I believe, really crispy color. First on 29th January would be 4K ips which is also reflective, oled and 240Hz probably come later.
Damn, nice new toy, I’m always super happy when could overtake it on highways...Wait can you run without speed limit there :p

I will be ordering my 2019 RB15 today from HIDevolution. Donald has been helping me thru the process. I think that I landed on the 2070 maxq vs the 2080 maxq. Of course going to get their LM application. Does anyone have an opinion on the two GPUs? Seems like 2070 is a little higher clock so that may compensate for the 2080 cuda cores etc. I think 2080 will be a 7-15 % increase only. Thoughts?

I would check with Donald at HIDEvolution. I believe they ship international. You could also get the LM repaste as that 2080 is going to need it.

I understand they can order non US keyboards from other brands (like MSI, for example). Maybe they can do it for Razer.
Their standard warranty is US based but you can upgrade to "international" in the sense that they will pay for shipping both ways to the US should you have to use it. I believe they cover up to two incidents per year.
You should speak with @Donald@HIDevolution for a clearer understanding of this. Also, I think @Ultra Male has experience with international purchasing from HIDevolution (made a thread a couple years back, if I recall)

    https://www.notebookcheck.net/NVIDI...-Laptop-GPUs-Performance-Review.401266.0.html

The 2070 MQ to 2080 MQ is a 25.5% performance increase for around $700 in cost (using HIDEvolution and the RB15 ADV). It's a tough call and your choice whether it is worth it or not.

For those that care, the jump from the 2060 to the 2070 MQ in the RB15 ADV is very small, like $150. So any complaints of similar performance aren't really valid since there isn't much of a price difference.

Normalement 1er Février le 2080 512Go sera disponible sur le site de Razer, mais je n'en suis pas sûr, c'est juste une rumeur on va dire.

La version 2070 256Go est déjà dispo chez Razer store Fr

    --

Normally the Razer blade should be available in UK February 1st according to a reseller, so in France it should be the same date I think.

Re, so I managed to make an order on the site razer France the order that valid but to my greatest astonishment I received instead of a confirmation email information that my payment had not worked . (It does not come from me the bank to confirm that it was the vendor's servers that did not walk.) I confess to being a bit in the dark and what's more it does not have phone support for France. So I sent an email to their media but the waiting time is very long. Do you have an idea ?

You can contact Hamburg office they have English support (working days 13~16:00 when I’m not wrong). Yes it’s better paying with PayPal, recently they thighten the security.
Idk how his setting, high pitch may occur on max manual rpm or auto fans profile under max load, using lower rpm like 4800 may reduce or even make it gone. It’s similar on other thin light laptops, maybe Zephyrus not since it has unique cooling design, quite open bottom area. It occurred because he air flow on small space.

Is there a source for the RTX Max-Q drivers? A co-worker got his RB15 RTX2070 today, swapped the SSD and there doesn't appear to be any RTX Max-Q drivers available on nVidia's site. The regular RTX drivers do not appear to work.

When downloading these drivers from Nvidia directly, you get an error saying they're incompatible with the version of windows you're running. It has to be done via Windows Update / Device Manager for whatever reason.
