Forget about 320 gap you should looking at the price with extra guarantee, that 2519 bucks comes with a year guarantee right in US? Buying it with a year guarantee like playing with the fire or playing Russian roulette, I mean regardless Razer, on any gaming laptops.

Btw is storage driver is really a matter on performance? That I heard first time, yes ram density, cooling, bios moding, i know it would. Maybe I’ll take a look on bios moding (cpu), not touch it yet. -
So for anyone that has a Valve Index and wants to know if this machine can run it. . .short answer. Yes. Long answer, make sure to buy a usb-c to display port adapter. And make sure in device manager to turn off the feature for windows to turn off the usb port to save power check box. Otherwise the headset will connect and disconnect over and over. And I forgot to turn on custom settings in synapse so I was using the default auto profile and was able to play high fidelity in Half Life Alyx without any issues. Impressive for a 14" machine to be sure.

Smallest room I've used was 8' x 10' with a desk. Smacked my knuckles off the wall too many times to count. I have no idea how my controllers still work. Got it hooked up in the living room now. So far no wall punches. Just almost tripped over my coffee table because I walked too far. -
Is this a Joke? Update: Razer has informed us that the reduced SSD speed is due to PSPP (PCIe Speed Power Policy) set by AMD and is not controllable by OEMs like Razer. The policy is meant to increase battery life by reducing SSD performance. Something similar to what is happening with the CPU and GPU.

I was very, very tempted to splurge on the 3080 considering all the cost-savings; but it would have still been about another $400. I'm still debating, but I just don't think the extra, what, maybe 5-10 FPS in most games will be worth it. But then again, already spending all this $$$...jlp0209 likes this. -

Apparently on latest synapse boost and high mode doesn’t apply OC on gpu…Hopefully they bring back my max OC value

Got the new Blade 14 w/ RTX 3080 up and running. Thanks to @Joikansai for putting me in touch with a useful Razer rep regarding return of my original laptop that developed a bright pressure spot behind the LCD on day 14 of the 14 day return policy. Dealt with 5+ different reps but ultimately they are going to process the return which is great. That said, bought this 3080 version from Microsoft...not re-ordering the 3060 version from Razer as much as I love it.
Here is my Time Spy result with a +130 core offset and memory offset that I forget, but running at 6500mhz. Scored 10,125 overall and 10,443 graphics which is pretty good all things considered.

Ended up with the 3080 version since I didn't see the 3070 version on MS site when I ordered. I have to get used to 1440p on a 14" screen, didn't think I'd be a fan but so far scaling at 125% makes things very comfortable.Joikansai likes this. -

Hopefully the MS warranty will cover battery bloat if it ever happens to mine. -
They even hide the setup configuration tab this is on usual blade laptops

I got an email from Razer saying they will be providing me a limited edition Orochi mouse v2 (due 15th July) because I purchased the Blade 14. Nice of them . Anyone else?

This little monster lmao.
Spoiler it beats 3080 g15, and it’s only with 3070 can compate also with huge legion pro. Imagine if they put mux and let the vbios and bios easier to mode. The heck those bios option no give opportunity to unlockable overclocking tab at all.jlp0209 likes this. -

Hey guys, did you notice, that at the test of notebookcheck.com you can see on the CPU-Z screenshot that the Razer Blade runs with Bios v 1.05.

Where do we get that Bios? Mine runs with v1.01. -

Are there any release notes so we can see the changes?

Since effective product support has been outsourced to the user community at this point, I figured I'd ask around as much as possible.
1) Because I had a decent discount code I bought a the 3080 version of the Blade 14. It arrived Friday. Flawless model upon inspection and I used it moderately (hooked up to USB-C on a cooling pad, disabled/limited Turbo and cut the wattage in Ryzen Controller).
2) Everything was fine until I had some updates pushed to the thing on Sunday. I noticed that among what was installed, the identifiable bits included the AMD chipset and GPU panels/drivers. I realize this is inexact and unscientific sounding but it is what it is. Immediately after reboot, the Nvidia GPU started throwing Code 43 errors in Device Manager and USB-C stopped video output, and it's been this way ever since.
3) I tried DDU, reinstalls, uninstalled/reinstalling Synapse. Resetting Windows several times and going through Setup offline. Still no change. When I finally got ahold of Razer support I jumped through their hoops and performed the same steps again, although I got a factory image from them that I threw on a flash drive. Still no change, even blew away the recovery partition and reinstalled it from the one I downloaded.
Case has been sitting "escalated" on Razer's end for over a day with no response. I know I'm likely screwed here but considering this thing is now only fourth days old, do you think if I pressed them for a refund they'd honor it or force me to RMA and wait weeks for a replacement?
I'm out of ideas (well, maybe I could reflash the stock vbios but I don't know where I could find it for this model and I'm a bit leery of doing this with an open support case). This is a fairly awful experience and the only reason I am even giving this machine a try is my previous attempt at a newer-gen laptop in 2021 involved three different Zephyrus G15s with operational or display defects (I should have really loved with those dead pixels I guess).
So tell me, how screwed am I and does anyone have any tips on how to get Razer to maybe not screw me here?
Thanks in advance.Last edited: Jul 13, 2021 -

Did you buy from retailer or Razer btw? If you want to reflash vbios there’re some users here have that model you can PM them, did you also try to cross flash it? -
No, I haven't cross flashed vbios and was trying to avoid doing so as I'm not real confident about the thermal headroom on this thing and additionally was happy with using USB-C out for video.
But yeah, I'll bite. Does anyone have the stock Blade 14 3080 VBIOS they'd be willing to toss my way?
Thanks for the tips. -

I would start the RMA + return process NOW. I bought the 3060 model from Razer direct and on day 14 it developed a bright pressure spot behind the LCD. The website wouldn't let me request a return because it said I was beyond the 14 day return window. So I emailed CS and with some help from @Joikansai they replied pretty quickly and authorized a return for refund. Fast forward to today, they've been radio silent since early Friday morning last week when they said "they'd pass the case along to the team who handles return + refund process."
I ordered the 3080 model from Microsoft last Wednesday with the $300 student discount. Arrived Friday morning, lightning fast. No way am I re-ordering or doing an exchange through Razer direct.Wackistan likes this. -
Good news, Amazon is listing the 3060 version for sale now. Shipping mid August - September.
