If they are the DCH drivers, they can only be updated to other DCH drivers (short of a really decent clean wipe).

    https://www.nvidia.com/Download/index.aspx?lang=en-us

The fifth dropbox should give an option between Standard and DCH.

I decided to go with cloning rather than a fresh install. Drivers have updated just fine through GeForce Experience both before and after the clone. I was just curious what your experience was.

    Cheers! Thanks for sharing.

While I haven't been able to get undervolting settings in the BIOS to show up, I was able to get SpeedShift to pop up. It's disabled by default. Anyone try enabling this through the BIOS yet? Might test it soon to see if there are any performance improvements, though I'm hesitant since Synapse likely has its fingers all over that setting as well.

I have not done it through the BIOS. I have only undervolted through XTU. I do notice slightly better battery life: 7-8h vs 6-7h according to estimates (I have not tried running the battery empty with my usual usage). I undervolted the CPU by 100mv and GPU by 70mv. Seems stable so far.

I have been looking for a good sleeve for this.
    Can anyone recommend one?

I have tried a bunch of 13inch macbook ones but found them too loose, would like something fitted.

    Thanks

Short question to all users with 150MX: In manual fan mode, how slow can you set the fans and how quiet is the maschine then?

    Thanks very much!

If you set the machine to power saving in the performance tab in Synapse 3, you do have the option to slide the fan all the way to off. I do still hear some type of audiable sound if I put the fan vent against my ear but it's almost silent at that point.

I have the same problem, so far I haven't found anything that fits the Razer Blade Stealth snuggly. Let me know if you end up finding something as well.

After beeing happy with my RB 15 I purchased also the latest Stealth with 1080 screen and MX150. I got it from Notebook.de with a 2 TB Samsung 970 and clean Win10 Pro installation, zero dead pixel service and a USB install / recovery stick. I paid 2.258,- Euro (included 19% sales tax).

I am going to use it with Photoshop LR (that is the reason for the 2 TB SSD), for gaming, Office, Web and other things.

After almost one week I love it! The design ist perfect in my opinion. The build quality is very good. The screen is great, HD is perfect for a 13" screen. No bleeding! The keyboard is good (for such a small and thin device). The only thing I miss a little bit is that there is no way to pick different colors for every key ... but it is still ok.

If I use the Stealth in the normal mode (middle position of the Windows performance slider), within Office, Web, DAZN or Netflix the fans are staying off. Also no buzzing sounds from the Notebook or the power adapter.

If I want to play with low fan noise I set the fans within the Synapse software fix to 2.200 rpm. Then they are really quiet. Playing Civilization 6 for two hours the Notebook stays cool outside and the highest temps were 61 degree for the CPU and 64 for the GPU.

What I miss: A shortcut / FN key to turn off the trackpad ... same problem with my RB 15 ...

Well, of course this one is not cheap ... but I got a small 1.3 kg machine which is able to play Civilization 6, Tropico 6 (Beta), Railway Empire, XCOM 2 and many other titles and which has the space to carry my Adobe LR catalog with me ... great. If you ask me, I would say this is the best 13" Notebook right now ...

I've been pretty happy with mine now that I'm done tweaking everything, upgrading the hard drive, etc. I've been impressed by the performance of the MX150 as well. I play everything at low settings, but to be playing any modern games at all on such a small device is really lovely.

What settings do you use for games like Civilization 6 and XCOM 2?

Civ 6 in Full HD, mid graphic setting, runs smooth.
    XCOM II 1280x800, high settings.

Both games are running smooth, fans man at 2.200 rpm, temperature below mid 60s ... simply great!

    I love this machine.

By the way, got it with BIOS 1.02 and EC 1.01.

I'm curious if anyone here has had issues with the power adapter being loose / or not charging if the cord is jostled or moved. I'm finding that if I bump the cord at all it will stop charging for a moment, and sometimes it can be plugged in and not charging unless I move the cord a little.

I have a similar issue where if I were to push USB-C plug to one side, it will briefly think it is on battery. The only other time I have seen where it will not charge while plugged in is when it discharges while plugged in. It won't charge even if I unplug and replug. I usually have to wait until the battery gets to a certain percent before the charging kicks back in.

    Hi guys.

I'm interested in buying a RBS while I am on holiday in the US this month, but I am a bit worried about some of the issues that I've heard about Razer's long-term quality and reliability. I will be taking the laptop back home with me and Razer does not have any kind of support where I live, so there will basically be no warranty.

Is this a massive risk to take or will it be ok? I want an ultrabook and I really love the stealth. Planning on getting an egpu and external monitor at a later stage as well to use it as a gaming machine.

How has you guys' experience been so far in terms of reliability?

If you are getting an eGPU, why not chose another Ultrabook with TB3 and no dGPU? One of the better aspects of the 2018 RBS is the MX150. Without it, I'd go for another choice (IMO).

I want 16gigs of ram and that only comes with the mx150 variant, unfortunately.

I don't really have an issue with getting a different ultrabook, but I would REALLY like to get the RBS because I just love its look. Nothing comes close to it in terms of aesthetics imo. The other ultrabook that I am considering is the spectre x360, which also has a nice design, but the gold accents look a bit 'flashy' for my liking.

What about the XPS 13 9380? Comes with a silver (old MacBook light silver) exterior aluminum with black CF interior (also a mostly white version, too).

Though I have to assume you've already considered the XPS 13 already and found it lacking.

What about a more business-like laptop (which often come in black)? Thinkpad? Latitude?

It's really the international support aspect that's holding back my recommendation for the RBS. Otherwise, I love the overall package.

I’ve still Blade stealth 2016 v2, I thought it’ll be dead in early this year and planned buying 2019 one since I use it for gaming as well beside my work daily usage and also looking dudes on Reddit that reporting this and that issues. Damn it didn’t die yet and I still use it. I would choose MX150 for way better light gaming on the go, sometimes it’s hurting me gaming on 720p low setting with intel hd620, I don’t bring core on the go lol :D, only weird poeple like Linus bringing egpu enclosure to go for playing games on an ultrabook because it’s already dozens thin light gaming laptops out there for that.

I really like the xps, but the only thing that's holding me back is the lack of usb-a, otherwise it would be perfect for me.

As for the business laptops - I didn't actually consider these tbh. Thanks for the recommendation.

That's great! I'm glad to finally see that someone has had a good experience with a RBS. There are so many complaints online from people whose razer laptops have just stopped working or don't even do basic things correctly - like the loose usb-c ports that some people seem to have.

I have had to send in the Razer Blade Stealth 2019 in twice already (loose cable and broken speaker), but honestly there is no other laptop on the market that can match the speed/performance/size of the Razer Blade Stealth 2019 (especially if you go with the MX150)

I absolutely agree. I just wish that their products actually worked for as long as they should.
