Hi. One question. Could anyone please confirm that the display is really 1920x1080, because i've read loads of articles about that laptop and some of them are saying that it is in fact 1378x768 LED display. From pics im guessing that it must be 1920x1200 because there are 10 lines of icons and on mine 1280x800 i can only squeeze in 7 but still i would really appreciate if anyone could confirm it. Cheers

3D version of this laptop... -
That "3D" version screen is 1366x768 120Hz cf/ the 'normal' G51j-a1 which is 1920x1080 60Hz.
I cbb wading through 15 pages of comments to see if mentioned previously but I do believe the reviewer has completely messed up the overclocking feature of the laptop (5% inc in FSB?), and the Turbo Boost feature of the i7m CPU (disables cores not-in-use and upclocks used cores to within overall TDP to boost single-core and dual-core performance).
Re battery life: I'd be surprised if it couldn't last 2 hours new, massively underclock the GPU with Rivatuner, min briteness, no WLAN etc.
Of course in 1 years time after the battery's degraded, there's no chance it will last 2hrs. Moot point at that time.
If you need battery life and must buy this notebook, buy more batteries. Keep em charged and swap via hibernate. Easy. -
if using coolingpad like coolermaster infinite, can it really effective to takecare the overheating issue???? I've just decided to buy this one, but with 1 tera HDD, but doubt with the overheating issue.
thanks
