Update after a year or so. Not much's changed, except for the Xbox and Steelseries QcK Starcraft II edition :)

Seeing that desktop makes me miss my sweet danger den air box I built in 2007. The all acrylic case with green LEDs and green UV cabling was awesome.

Stooby, awesome monitor setup you got there. Is that a work setup? Any particular reason for the layout you have?

It's the setup I have in my attic my Mrs didn't want it anywhere else in the house so i managed to talk her into letting me use a spare room for an office/games room.
I only use the two bottom monitors for the pc usually, I do have the wall mounted samsung on a second graphics card but rarely have it on, it usually has games console or tv playing through it.
No particular reason for all of them other than I had them and started to use them, makes life easier to have different things open on different screens :D

    Thanks for the compliments!

Its actually very new I just got the 3x 24" monitors and the new ATI 5870 card to run them last week I am not made of money, I am probably on the lower spectrum of income making but I shop around for good deals and focus for what I want.

If you want to see my coolest toy it would be my home built arcade setup, it was not just "buying stuff" like having 3 monitors. It was man made and designed and built my be completly.

I had to destroy it unfortunately to make the new desk to hold the 3x 24" monitors (takes up half a room) but I will revive the control panel in a new form here soon. I already have my idea on what to do.

Check out the build log pics:

Wow man nice stuff and great wire work in the cases.

But seriously is that like a 4870 and a water cooled CPU on a HTPC? lol

I guess I built my htpc with a different idea in mind (small, quiet, low power consumption, low heat generated)

For your main rig, If your interested in a 5870 may as well hold out for the 5870X2 I think, also let others find the bugs and problems for you on the current 5870's.

Very nice setup, ViciousXUSMC. Does Nintendo include skins for the Wii interface now or is that a mod? I haven't powered mine on in probably over half a year now.

That is one of the many mods I have done to my Wii, the best one being backing up my games to hard drive and running from there instead of having to swap disks. I always get my disks disorganized and now I can just keep them safely stored away.

I am more than ever eye balling the 5870's haha (especially since I may have a buyer for at least one of my GTX 275's). And I think I would prefer the beefier cooling of 2 seperate cards vs an x2 (since more than 2 5870's is a 100% waste for only a 24" monitor, EVEN playing Crysis haha).

The HTPC is hooked up to a big screen, so I had to make sure it plays games on said screen :) (and I just like playing crysis so much....). That is actually a 4890, the rebate just mailed out so after a price match by microcenter it was only $150 hehe

Westinghouse LVM37W3, 37" 1920x1080 best bang for your buck big screen out there. I have seen them as low as $500 shipped.

I got mine for $1000 but that was like 3 years ago when TV's cost a lot more. It is just as high of a quality as the most expensive brands/screens and has a ton of inputs.

Yeah, but for some reason, the Westinghouse brand has seemed to disappear from tigerdirect, newegg, and retail.

I have no clue where to find any of them.

I think K Mart still has their products. Target may have them too, though I believe Ölevia has replaced Westinghouse in many Target stores.

I was just on the KMart website; no Westinghouses in sight. I'm purchasing a 32/37/40/42 for my dorm room soon, and I'm obsessed with getting the best deal for myself. Right now though, the 37" Insignia from BB at $549 seems a good deal, but I'm looking for THE best, and I'm waiting until Black Friday anyway.

I'm on the fence about whether it's worth 1080p since I'd be hooking up my G51 to it, and I'd still like to do everything at native resolution. I don't want to have to scale down the resolution on a 1080p TV so games can run smoothly. And 720p's share the exact same resolution as my G51.
