This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    I went onto Smooth Creations website and it looks to me like they no longer do custom painting. They only sell laptops now.

    Please correct me if I am wrong.

    I spoke to Jim last night and although they are currently accepting third party laptops to paint, they will eventually only sell paint jobs on the laptops they sell.

    Yeah I said the same exact thing when I saw Duke over @ PS3 Forums, lol. And once again Duke, its amazing, or on SNL, its squidtrelecent :p

    I'll post picture of my laptop soon. The experience was great. I left my laptop on my desk for over a month so the paint can cure completely.

    Posting here to let anyone know I decommissioned this baby after 9 years. I have a GPU, Samsung screen, DIMMs, and any other internals that are needed for people who are trying to keep their 5750 still kicking. PM me if interested. (the smooth lid will be staying with me, framed, as a memento to such a fantastic airbrush. (my avatar)
