I was trying to come up with a good name for MSI EX625 users.
-
Im sure youl think of something , haha.
-
I think someone else can come up with a better name than me.
-
true, i've always been deciding between MSI, Asus, and Sager. .but the only thing even around close to the performance of MSI EX625 is.. well nothing. The Asus n50 and n70 with a 9650m gt and a gt130m come nothing close to the 4670.. and they both cost $1582 total which is 550 more than the EX625 but still offer lesser performance in 3dmark06 (albeit a better processor). In the price range of the MSI EX625, the closest offering is the Asus K40 with the g102m LOL and thats $1073.48 total...think about the benchmarking performance of the k40, maybe 1.5k in 3dmark06. Dear Michael,
Thanks for contacting Newegg.
Please note that all of our most current inventory is determined collectively by our Marketing and Purchasing Departments due to various circumstances. Unfortunately, this information is not passed onto Customer Service, and we are unable to provide information for this particular inquiry. After checking on our website, I noticed that no ETA for this item is stated on our site. I truly apologize. At this point, I can only advise you to check our site periodically for updates.
For your reference, we will post the item on our website if or when it becomes available. Every product we carry is listed on our website, pricing and availability posted in real time. Please check all prices and availability at www.newegg.ca for our most up-to-date status. When an item is out of stock, we usually provide an ETA on our website. Unfortunately if we do not have a date provided then the ETA is undetermined. We do provide an Auto Notify link for out of stock items. By utilizing this feature an email would be sent once the item is made available again on our website. Any item that is removed from our website usually will be out of stock for longer than 2 weeks. Thank you for your patience and understanding.
If you have any further questions or concerns, please visit our FAQ page. If you still need assistance, please feel free to email me directly and I will be happy to assist you.
Thank you, -
Damit new egg, cant you just put them on the shelves already!
-
Yeah I know, and watch them get sold in 1 day -__-
-
Its a good deal no doubt about it
-
-
It looks like its available at site.
-
yeah it's available again, but I emailed MSi and they said that it's been discontinued, so once they run out again, they may not get anymore.
I'm not sure if I should buy one or if I should buy a MSI GT735-024US... any suggestions? -
oops... I just refreshed the page and now it says the EX625 is sold out on newegg... again.

Dang, what's with Canada and crappy laptops
-
Im sure Canada will pull a lappy out of its hat....one day
-
-
Only uk discontinued the lappy after a month
well the advent anyway hehe.
-
are we talking about the gt725 now? I would've liked one if the keyboard wasn't so weirdly designed and if it was a 15.4 instead of a 17 XD
-
Hehe, yeah gt725 is delightful
17 inch is great!!!
15.4 inch version i would probably say is the msi gt627 -
Dang, the MSI EX625-227US is GONE everywhere! What do you guys recommend? My sister's looking for one for her hubby, and I was pointing her to this for its graphics capabilities. Price is a factor.
-
Hey Guys I myself have been looking for this laptop as well. I did find it at a regional distributor. It was off of MSI where to buy website, so it might be credible. Also it has a good bbb rating. Anyway heres the link.
http://www.tpi-us.com/products.php?cat=122
If anyone does buy from the website please let us know it wasn't a scam.
Thanks for being a test subject haha. -
I now have laptop and its sweet. I got rid of the second partion on the hard drive. I love it.
-
At cloud>>
Where'd you buy it Newegg? -
-
And now they already have announced a EX627. But who cares? Who wants the ****ing with a Ati 4570 only... I will definitely not buy that. -
-
-
-
I'm seriously tempted to go with that tpi-us link. I really want this laptop, and the EX627 doesn't look like an improvement, more like covering a profit loss.
No matter how I look, I can't find something with comparable specs in this price range. And even though it doesn't have the safety and comfort of newegg, plus a slightly higher price, I think it could be worth it to snag one of these babies.
So, what do you think about that place? Should I go for it? It's scary to be the lab rat... -
-
-
I honestly don't think it would be but thanks for being our test.. Also let us know when you get it and if it has the warrenty when you get it cause it wasn't in the listings
I'm more likely to buy from tpi if it isnt a scam b/c of sales tax on neweggliving in NJ

Hey guys, wondering if any of you who actually own this laptop have had any problems while running games?
Me, and i know at least one other person, have had problems whenever playing Oblivion, Crysis, GTA IV, and The Last Remnant (I'm sure other games have the problem too). The problem is that the laptop would randomly crash to a black screen while playing those games. Upon reboot Vista states we had a BSOD caused by driver issus.
I definitely had the right drivers, the ones that came with it. I even reinstalled the drivers and did a whole system recovery.
I bought the Laptop new from Newegg (Just last Tuesday actually) and had the problem from the start.
Just want to note though that EVERYTHING else was perfect on the machine. It is a fantastic Laptop for the price. Also lots of other games did run perfect e.g. Lost Planet, COD4.
I've already sent my Laptop into MSI for them to look at it, but I just want to be sure this isn't a widespread issue which other users may not have encountered yet.
So, whoever has this laptop... would you mind trying to play either Oblivion, Last Remnant, or Crysis and see if you encounter the error? I'd need you to play for at least an hour or preferably two (since I did go one time on Crysis for almost an hour without it happening). You can also download the demos of Crysis or the Last Remnant, if you don't own them, since the same thing happens on them too.
Just to let you know, MSI tech support said that Crysis has known issues on this Laptop... I just really want to know HOW common these issues are. If other people can play these games fine, then I know it's not too widespread and MSI can fix the problem for me.
Thank you, I really appreciate your help. -
anyone try installing 64bit XP professional and got the subwoofer working. Has anyone got the subwoofer on any 64bit OS? If so what drivers are you using. Im using the realtek 2.27 high def sound drivers but no sound is comming out of my subwoofer. Is sound suppose to come out of the subwoofer?
-
also I installed ATI radeon HD 4670 drivers and it worked but and it shows up in my device manager, but is it the correct driver even though this has the ATI radeon MOBILITY HD 4670?
-
@tassadar898 You have to install SCM - System Control Manager, its on the driver disk under the folder AP/Vista 32. You also have to enable Cinema Pro mode by touching the button on the touch sensor.
@vaant what driver did the BSOD say was causing the laptop to crash? -
i tried installing SCM from the MSI site that is for 32bit. It installed successfully but my buttons at the top still dont work. Can you point me in the right direction for the correct download? thanks chaotic
i also tried the one from the CD with the same result. -
-
ya can you upload the install file that you used? would be much appreciated
I dont have the grey icon located on the system tray after restart. -
