Yep very true. My laptop was still in new condition, warranty sticker in tack as stated. It seemed to me someone bought my laptop and just returned it because someone didn't want it or bought something else. I had everything that comes in a new retail purchase. I was happy that I got everything at a good price and to my liking.

MSI users should get their own cool name since their bang for the buck is overwhelming by a long shot.

true, i've always been deciding between MSI, Asus, and Sager. .but the only thing even around close to the performance of MSI EX625 is.. well nothing. The Asus n50 and n70 with a 9650m gt and a gt130m come nothing close to the 4670.. and they both cost $1582 total which is 550 more than the EX625 but still offer lesser performance in 3dmark06 (albeit a better processor). In the price range of the MSI EX625, the closest offering is the Asus K40 with the g102m LOL and thats $1073.48 total...think about the benchmarking performance of the k40, maybe 1.5k in 3dmark06. XD

yeah it's available again, but I emailed MSi and they said that it's been discontinued, so once they run out again, they may not get anymore.

I'm not sure if I should buy one or if I should buy a MSI GT735-024US... any suggestions?

Hey Guys I myself have been looking for this laptop as well. I did find it at a regional distributor. It was off of MSI where to buy website, so it might be credible. Also it has a good bbb rating. Anyway heres the link.

Too bad. In Europe it's the same ... no sign of this notebook. It's ridiculous how we all are put on the hold... you don't know how much luck you have in the US...

And now they already have announced a EX627. But who cares? Who wants the ****ing with a Ati 4570 only... I will definitely not buy that.

I'm seriously tempted to go with that tpi-us link. I really want this laptop, and the EX627 doesn't look like an improvement, more like covering a profit loss.
No matter how I look, I can't find something with comparable specs in this price range. And even though it doesn't have the safety and comfort of newegg, plus a slightly higher price, I think it could be worth it to snag one of these babies.

So, what do you think about that place? Should I go for it? It's scary to be the lab rat...

From the looks of it, it will be exactly the same abeit minor changes & a different graphics card which is worse than the one in ex625. Again I keep saying it, I'm glad I bought it when I did.

Hey guys, wondering if any of you who actually own this laptop have had any problems while running games?

Me, and i know at least one other person, have had problems whenever playing Oblivion, Crysis, GTA IV, and The Last Remnant (I'm sure other games have the problem too). The problem is that the laptop would randomly crash to a black screen while playing those games. Upon reboot Vista states we had a BSOD caused by driver issus.

I definitely had the right drivers, the ones that came with it. I even reinstalled the drivers and did a whole system recovery.

I bought the Laptop new from Newegg (Just last Tuesday actually) and had the problem from the start.

Just want to note though that EVERYTHING else was perfect on the machine. It is a fantastic Laptop for the price. Also lots of other games did run perfect e.g. Lost Planet, COD4.

I've already sent my Laptop into MSI for them to look at it, but I just want to be sure this isn't a widespread issue which other users may not have encountered yet.

So, whoever has this laptop... would you mind trying to play either Oblivion, Last Remnant, or Crysis and see if you encounter the error? I'd need you to play for at least an hour or preferably two (since I did go one time on Crysis for almost an hour without it happening). You can also download the demos of Crysis or the Last Remnant, if you don't own them, since the same thing happens on them too.

Just to let you know, MSI tech support said that Crysis has known issues on this Laptop... I just really want to know HOW common these issues are. If other people can play these games fine, then I know it's not too widespread and MSI can fix the problem for me.

Thank you, I really appreciate your help.

Im using the realtek 2.27 high def sound drivers but no sound is comming out of my subwoofer. Is sound suppose to come out of the subwoofer?

@tassadar898 You have to install SCM - System Control Manager, its on the driver disk under the folder AP/Vista 32. You also have to enable Cinema Pro mode by touching the button on the touch sensor.

@vaant what driver did the BSOD say was causing the laptop to crash?

Their both the right software, it is suppose to be 32-bit. Do you have a grey eye like icon in your system tray? If not you need restart the laptop and see if that icon pops up.

Did you still have the software installed? If so uninstall then restart. In the mean time, I will upload the file I used, then you can try that.
