Nahimic 3 on "unsupported systems"

Right uninstall everything, Nahimic Realtek sound and app download the Windows reg patch attached on my post. Reboot with DSE off and try again. It sounds like Windows Update did driver downgrade via Windows Update system, the Zip attached on my post stops that happening.

Then re-installing the package again with Driver Enforcement Off and reboot again.

Adding/replacing designated device id to AVoluteNH3Ext.inf works with disabling driver signature enforcement. Didn't do anything besides that on my system and everything works properly.

 

What do you mean any modded driver requires that driver Enforcement is disabled in order for it to work.

Else all drivers would work without having to do that.

@Ivan994 There is in the thread Links that has pre-mad modded drivers by myself and j95 which are now at 8591 Driver Version, give them a shot as well, but well done on modding your own driver.

- Disable driver signature enforcement. Hold down the Shift key while you click the “Restart” option -> Select “Troubleshoot” -> Advanced options -> Startup Settings -> select “Disable driver signature enforcement” option.

- Temporarily disable AV software.

- Copy to desktop then Right-click/Run as administrator "Realtek_UAD...mod.exe".

- When prompted (3/4x) select "Install driver software anyway"

- Realtek installer, select "No, I will restart my computer later" to continue with RTK Audio Console & Nahimic installation

- Close command line window after it's done.

- Finally, reboot.


**USE Windows Auto Driver Update.zip Only if you have drivers being over wrote by Microsoft**
** Else its not needed, Download for driver is right at the top

so basically , I installed driver on 1st page and install nahimic from microsoft store.

Did you notice that just above your post is a new driver update and the post above that is another driver?

The one in the first page is out of date.

Since it's working great and i don't have to do those steps above, I leave it as it. I love it so far.

 

I hate messing up with 3rd party drivers and providers putting on top of "real" audio drivers, such as installing another modded drivers over Realtek audio. Asus was doing similar thing installing Creative Audigy/THX drivers over Realtek device drivers. As far as hardware is Realtek, i would be pissed off by installing any other crap stuff causing much compatibility headaches. Msi appears to have chosen the same way

 

There is a simple fix to that as well, Just remove the Thirdparty folder before installing the MSI drivers that will stop the Nahimic drivers from being installed leaving you just the realtek drivers (However will not work on the modded drivers me and j95 have made).

Yes Nahimic support page is removing anything that pops the bubble that Nahimic 3 is exclusive to 8th series of laptops or any criticism in any shape or form.

Well there is two people doing these mods I am one and j95 is the other.

Yep Nahimic lost my respect after snubbing and my offer of testing and helping so they could keep their promise.

They came out with all excuses they could in not doing the update for Nahimic v1/v2 users. Ultimately using Microsoft for the excuse little did they release that UAD was in made to unify driver support so any system from Haswell, Broadwell, Skylake, KabyLake with a Realtek Soundcard would support UAD drivers which have been proven already.

No, however you can look at the made by section of the change log. If your using the Latest version which is 8614 then you only need my permission, if it say j95 then ask j95.
Although i will be trying to do most of the mods for MSI Laptops myself to drop the load off J95 as that user mods way to much drivers already, thus its only fair.

 

you should probably update your modded Realtek + Nahimic drivers to 8627 [seems like Realtek has taken several days off in making new audio drivers]; get an unmodded copy of 8627 from here.

AND get the Realtek Audio Control UWP app v1.2.169.0 from here.

 

Right now I need an internet connection, I was planing on making new modded drivers but lack of fixed line internet has put a stop to it right now.

But thanks for reminding me I haven't forgotten. Thanks for links.



Edit: I have made the new Driver version, just need to test and Upload it!

- Uninstall Realtek UAD, including Nahimic UWP app then reboot.

- BIOS -> disable secure boot.

- Disable driver signature enforcement. Hold down the Shift key while you click the “Restart” option -> Select “Troubleshoot” -> Advanced options -> Startup Settings -> select “Disable driver signature enforcement” option.

- Temporarily disable AV software.

- Copy to desktop then Right-click/Run as administrator "Realtek_UAD...mod.exe".

- When prompted (3x) select "Install driver software anyway"

- Realtek installer, select "No, I will restart my computer later" to continue with RTK Audio Console & Nahimic installation

- Check That Nahimic and Realtek Audio Console shows as installed in Start Menu

- Finally, reboot.


**USE Windows Auto Driver Update.zip Only if you have drivers being over wrote by Microsoft**
** Else its not needed, Download for driver is right at the top

I'm a member of the german MSI User help User Forum and we had last year the possibility to visit the RMA Service Center in Poland and this was in the corridor to the hall where MSI repair Notebooks, AiO, desktop PCs and there were machines to repair bga and other chips of the motherboards.
was really impressiv to visit the location.

Everything is working fine and so far i can't recognize any issues during my anthem sessions

The sound is much morte better for my ears if i compare it.

Nahimic 3 has been updated on Windows Store to 1.2.11.0 as well as Realtek's Audio Control to 1.2.169.0, i have just installed them will be rebooting to test to insure they still work after. Will update you all soon.


Edit and Update: Good new Nahimic 3 Version 1.2.11.0 and Realtek Audio Control 1.2.169.0 still works nicely with the modded drivers. These will be added in the next Modded driver update.

 

Is anyone facing an issue that sometimes the Nahimic sound effect isn't applied?

When I looked into the .8597 driver I've downloaded from the MSI site, I've noticed there are 2 specific inf located under ad_8597_UAD_WHQL_Nahimic_1230_2018_1221_115829\Win64 folder for the driver, HDXRT.inf and HDXMSI.inf, and if I don't delete the HDXRT.inf the realtek installer would install using HDXRT.inf, but if I delete HDXRT.inf, the realtek installer would install using HDXMSI.inf.

The strange behavior I was seeing that Nahimic sound effect sometimes is not applied is with the HDXRT.inf, but if it was installed using HDXMSI.inf, everything runs fine.

When I looked into the actual inf I've found that the specific hardware ID is listed in the HDXMSI.inf but in the HDXRT.inf, the string is only listed up to DEV_1220.

For example, mine is a GS65, in the HDXMSI.inf I could find:
HDAUDIO\FUNC_01&VEN_10EC&DEV_1220&SUBSYS_14621227

But in the HDXRT.inf I could only find :
HDAUDIO\FUNC_01&VEN_10EC&DEV_1220

So I think the HDXMSI.inf is the correct one to be used. I'm surprised Nahimic or MSI isn't aware of this issue where the HDXRT.inf would be installed instead of HDXMSI.inf when both inf are allowed to be used in their installer. They should probably add something for their installer like scan all first then jump to verdict of which INF should be used for the installation.

Now I have to delete the HDXRT.inf everytime before installing the Realtek driver from MSI site, that's a pity.

By the way you can check in the event tab in Realtek Audio's properties which inf was used for the installation, you'll see something like
hdxmsi.inf_amd64_43a3ebfcd2369eea
or
hdxrt.inf_amd64_89f77081098f06d6.

 

Good to know but i never had an issue like this since i use nahimic 3 and the realtek driver.
Only when i forget to restart my GT75VR after driver installation.
I will keep it in my mind if i should get this issue.

sometimes when i turn on surround sound in nahimic 3, sound comes from very deep and low but not everytime. Has anyone experienced this problem so far? my laptop is GE62-6QF. How can i solve this problem?

 

What do you mean deep? Do you mean bassy. If you can explain I would be happy to test it on my system.

i record sound with %100 volume so they can be loud. and i use stereo mix to record

my speaker is at 192000Hz 24Bits.
my driver version is 6.0.1.8627.
realtek interface version is 1.2.169.0.
nahimic version is 1.2.11
i used default music setting in the nahimic and turned on surround sound.
if you need any info other than these, i can provide. or if you request some test, i can also do it

 

Testing now, however on mine when you enable surround sound it pulls the audio closer and spreads it outward like proper surround emulation.

Will do an audio recording of mine using the same settings.

Edit: I have attached a sample with me stating when Surround sound is of and on with music playing, just don't hate me for my choice in tunes. Best played on a non nahimic device such as mobile. I used the same settings as you Music profile with Sound set at 19200Hz 24Bit

Also my operating system is Win10 Pro 64bit build 17763.316. do you think it affect the sound?
