Have you updated the Nvidia driver to the most recent version?
During gameplay, what's the color of power LED light?

Run 3DMark to get a score then use it to verify versus online results or from others.
If the score is identical then your hardware is running normally, and the stuff left to do is to tweak the game itself.
So we will have to see.

    Hi all,
I'm fresh user of MSI GE62 PRO (i have it couple of days) and in general i can say that it was a good deal.
Unfortunately, there is couple of things that worries me (like always when i get new item :) ).

So guys who have their MSI GE62, especially PRO ver. i have few questions:
    1) BatteryDrain - this thing is very annoying, because it takes approx. 20% per 1h of playing demanding games (like Crysis2 and DyingLight in my case). MSI calls this feature Hybrid Power, but for me it's a not funny joke to give weak PSU and let the battery to drain. So guys what is in your case?
    2) Ghosting/Clouding - in dark room, when the screen display is completely black (for eg. when some games are loading), some little white defects can be observed in area of the screen frame. This is not very annoying and it can be spotted in many notebooks, but guys do you have it too?
    3) HDD temperature - mine according to HWmonitor are 40C in desktop and 45C while playing a game. I consider them a bit too high, because in some reviews this HDD (also in this nootebook) reaches 32C desktop and 38C as max during benchmark. What about your temps; is the left side of notebook much warmer then right even in the desktop level?
    4) Shift feature - available in Dragon Gaming Center not working properly. There are 3 modes Sport, Comfort, Eco (like in the car :) ) and for me only Eco and Sport differs. Comfort is the same as Sport (Intel TorboBoost and GPU core boost - are working) in Eco (Intel TB is working, but GPU memory frequency is limited; usually this mode drops about 15 fps in games). Can you check it too?

Thats all i think. Big thx for all your replies. If you have some questions, please don't hesitate to ask?

Hye Guys, i wanted to tell u Something....
Recently, I had bought the Gaming Laptop MSI GE62 2QF Apache PRO (as stated in previous Forum's Posts)

*** The Specs (Screen Capture) :

    [IMG] [IMG]

    # I think u 'Often' see this MSI Laptop at the AD in Youtube Site & Etch

    # I bought it with UHD IPS Display

    And U know what ??!

I felt TOTALLY REGRET buying this Laptop.... cause :

it is equipped with UHD Display.... i felt regret cause

It IS BOTTLENECk at 48Hz !! My Display is VERY BEAUTIFUL but the PERFORMANCE is VERYx3 LOW.... The Display is very lagging and stutter at certain time even though it have a QuadCore CPu i7 4720HQ.... This is because intel use OPTIMUS method to render Display... even Intel nowAdays still NOT SUPPORTED UHD / 4K Display....

U will Obvious see the Perfomance issue when u observe CAREFULLY the SPEED + SMOOTHNESS of the CURSOR Moving on ur Display.... then try to compare it with the FHD's Display one.... U will get the Result....

Then, because of the UHD Display, U Gonna LOW Down Ur RESOLUTION in Almost Every GAme.... As for Skyrim... :

    # Not Modded (Vanilla) :
    Use resolution 1920 x 1080 , MAX FPS reach : 38 FPS
    Use resolution 1280 x 720, MAX FPS 50 FPS
    # Modded Heavily :
    Use resolution 1920 x 1080, MAX FPS reach : 32 FPS....
    Use resolution 1280 x 720, MAX FPS : 49 FPS

That is for SkyRim (Legendary Edition)......

the COre of Problem ? = the Hardware of UHD/4k Display.....

**** So, As for now, I shall wait for 6 Months to wait (Hopefully) for the Patch to Fixed this kind of thing..... If there is no SOLUTION, then i got NO OTHER CHOICE other then DOWNGRADING my UHD display to FHD IPS Display....

Please be Reminded... DONT BUY UHD/4k Display Laptops !!!

This 4K Issue is the same as : http://www.tomsguide.com/answers/id-2226490/lenovo-y50-low-fps-resolution-issues.html

    EDITED :

I Hope MSI will Release Patch for this ISSUE... PLEEEEEEEEEEASE !! I am Begging You !!

It's a hardware limit of the screen it can't be fixed as that's the max refresh rate the monitor reports to the igp (which can't overclock the djsplay). You could swap the panel itself of course to one with the same connector.

You can always use an external monitor/tv if you want to see 60fps

My ge62 won't boot up. The blue power on light shows but screen is black and there is no noise coming from laptop.

Every laptop has issues with some users, but with the MSI you have a 2 year warranty (in the first year it can even be caused by yourself doing something silly).

So it seems a bit of a rush to come to that conclusion, especially without attempting any trouble shooting on here.

The MSI GE72 looks like a very good laptop, it's lightweight comparable to the Acer VN17 Nitro series, has good cooling, good WiFi antennas (placement and antennas) and has a SteelSeries keyboard.

Where the laptop falls short is the placement of the CPU being right under the WASD keyboard area so even though the CPU temperatures are really good, the keyboard area where the WASD keys can get fairly hot during gaming.

Both the GE62 and GE72 seem to be perfectly made for external laptop coolers specifically those coolers that have one big fan, just look at the bottom ventilation placement on these two models.

The only other problem right now is pricing and model information, specifically when it comes to the display. MSI fails to mention if the display is IPS or non IPS with the Broadwell models, the alternative multimedia orientated MSI PE60 and PE70 seems to have IPS displays on all models.

I've check the GE72 in different stores, it's seems the GE72 (BDW) takes the same display as GT72 or PE72 , which is IPS as well

Display can vary by model and where you are getting it, but feel free to ask the retailer/reseller if you want to double check :)

The GE72 2QF-216XFR is an IPS (confirmed by msi).
