nVIDIA GeForce Driver updated to v388.71
SteelSeries Drivers will not be updated in the OP as it's best to stick to the official ones from MSI and disable the SteelSeries Engine Automatic Update notification.

I am having some difficulties with installing the vga driver. It keeps giving me "this computer does not meet the minimum requirements for installing this software" message. I tried both the driver link above and the driver from the msi page.

Update: nothing seems to be able to detect my integrated intel vga... it is not showing any whereLast edited: Dec 26, 2017 -

2) yeah obviously you can't install the Intel graphics driver because it's not there, you need to press the 2nd button on the right to switch GPUs then only you can install the Intel Graphics driver. It's the button right below the power button. If it isn't doing anything for you, you have to install SCM first then reboot for the buttons to work.Donald@Paladin44 and Zlooo like this. -
I had no clue I had to turn off the GPU before I install the intel vga driver.
Thank you for the help, I think I am reformattingLast edited: Dec 26, 2017Donald@Paladin44 and Spartan@HIDevolution like this. -

@Phoenix
Let me start by thanking you for all the effort and time you have been spending. I have another asus laptop which I formated a couple of times, and it took me hell lots of time to learn how to find and install the correct drivers in the right way. especially that their driver support was really **** back then ( not sure how it is right now).
The driver instructions here are great, the only problem I faced was with installing the VGA and which turned out to be really simple and obvious.
I would recommend one small (for the noobs like me) addition to this tutorial, and this is turning off the GPU before installing the intel vga drive, and then turning the gpu back on before installing the invidia vga driver.
o' and one more thing, I was trying to follow the steps for creating a bloatfree windows ISO and it costed be hell lots of time to finally find out that it is full of problems, so I fully understand why you stopped doing that. Maybe the bloatfree video could be deleted ? just so newcomers would not go through the hassle and then ending up with a faulty iso.
Again, many thx... maskkour as they sayVasudev likes this. -

I will add a note to the installation of the VGA Drivers to help others realize that they need to switch GPUs first.
Secondly, just last night I tried creating a new ISO using the latest MSMG toolkit v8, I wasted a whole day creating the ISO, installing Windows, configuring it, installing drivers, then when I went online and tried to do Windows updates, they all failed. I give up on this toolkit. Microsoft has messed up Windows 10 so bad that it's never gonna work anymore to remove the stuff we don't want from Windows the way we did before. I will also delete the MSMG Toolkit video to save others the trouble. -

the drivers installation order list has been edited in the OP and the MSMG Toolkit video has been deleted as per Zloo's request. I am always open to feedback provided it makes sense.

Just checked this driver and it doesn't have the bug where when you plug out your mouse the TouchPad remains disabled.

I don't know what's up, but because there were a lot of new driver updates recently, my OCD alert kicked in and I restored back my image to the point before installing any drivers and installed all the new drivers and now my machine feels much snappier, I don't know what is responsible for this, my installed software and Antivirus are exactly the same. one of those drivers could be it. Either the Intel Chipset Software 10.1.1.45 recently released or the fact that I didn't install the latest nVIDIA Driver from nVIDIA but got the one from MSI 388.16 but my taptop feels much snappier now I could feel it, everything is snappier ranging from installing apps, opening apps, minimizing/maximizing windows. I love it! Be snappy....be like Phoenix.... -

I was investigating the trackpad issue a bit more. With the USB hub where my Corsair mouse and keyboard are connected turned off, device manager shows the trackpad along with two phantom "HID USB input device" entries. Uninstalling those extra devices, leaving only the trackpad, results in the "disable when external pointing device is connected" checkbox working correctly. It's also fine when turning the USB hub back on, however the next time I turn it off, those two phantom devices re-appear, which causes the Synpatics control panel to think that there are extra USB devices present. At this point, I don't really care enough to engage in any further diagnosis, but there's probably some sort of conflict between the trackpad, the USB hub, and/or Corsair's hardware and software. As long as Fn + F3 works as expected, that's good enough for me.

Hi,
I having a very weird problem. I'm overclocking my MSI GT73VR-7RE to 4.2 in the BIOS, not using Dragon Center and I didnt install it so far. The weird thing is that everything runs fine, everything is stable, and sometimes, the BIOS just goes to the default 3.9Ghz without anything happened. I only detected that by looking on CPU-Z or HWINFO. Then I go back in the BIOS, restore my profile with 4.2 OC settings, and so on..
What is this happening? -

Download Autoruns from it then unzip it, then run Autoruns64.exe as admin
now in the filter box on the top left, type XTU and right click then delete all the XTU entries then reboot and set your BIOS options again -
