    No no no.

Your logic is so far off.

Go look at HDD tests of 7200 RPM drives on other notebooks........ Yes they are faster Yes they work Yes buy one if you like.
    SSD is better.

I want to know how it runs in this laptop not others, i don't want to create more heat and less battery performace if making this upgrade.

Also SSD is good i know but still way too expensive for my liking.

Because I ran the benchmark at higher clocls (around 3.2Ghz I think). The cpu is stable at higher clocks in many benchmarks, but for 24/7 2.8 feels more reliable and cooler.
My vga runs at GTS speeds through bios mod, dunno if it makes a difference though

Well 6.8 is not bad for a 2 years old 15.4" lappy

well I have 7555 q9200es ram 8gb ati4850 win 7 x64 all drivers you can get from MSi website just type in search box gt725 ati drievers from ati web chipset driver from intel

anyone who own Advent 6555 7555 8555 did you know that if you replace the cpu to Q9200 you will be able to overclock the cpu from under windows with one click at the same moment change Bios CPU ratio to 12, 3.2Ghz and your CPUMark will score at 5300 ? LOL

there is something very special about advent 7555 or rather original Bios why? well it doesnt have turbo button like gt725 but the turbo work in someway with the bios and cuz of that if you use TS setting ratio to any and close TS. and restart Laptop CPU speed in Bios will change to 3.2Ghz ratio 12. and will stay like this up till you shut down laptop or you will reset bios.

no one would believe it would be possible to change Bios settings from under windows LOL :)

how much did you pay for your scorpio black 750gb ?

did you know that Momentus XT is faster than 10k RPM ?

if the price wasnt much different between XT and Scorpio you should go for XT

I paid £79.99 for the Scorpio and i did consider the XT but read too many bad reviews about problems with them which put me off. I did intend to go for the XT for the speed reasons you mention but decided to go the safer route.

Its a combined esata/usb 2 port, it does not provide power over the esata cable.

Going back to my latest question about the esata port. Is there anyone out there that has an esatap drive that could try it in this port with esatap cable just to confirm? I am wanting to buy a hdd enclosure for my spare 2.5" drive and don't know whether to buy esata or not.
