When I want to go up to 0,9V.

Which settings do I have to modify to geht 0,9V ? There are two settings, right?

My limit with 0.9v is 820 core oc, yet i havent tested more but works fine at this clock.

STRANGELY the memory clock limit is 1750. if i pass this limit i start getting artifacts.

Yep every chip is different, will probably be the IMC on the graphics chip limiting it.

EDIT #2: I finally got it to work... I got my voltage to .9v now, but I don't see a dramatic increase in framerate. I still have to keep my overclocking to 705/1410/1800, or else I get artifacts. This is the same overclocking that I had when I was on .85v... Is there something else that I need to change to get better results? I even ran tests and still got 3300's. how are you guys getting 15000+ After over volting to .9v?

For reference, I'm using the GT 780dx, i7 2670QM, gtx 570m, 16 gigs of ram.

My settings are at .9v 780/1560/1700 and everything works fine without any artifacts. I think the main problem ist setting the memory clock to high.

In 3D Mark Vantage I got 14677 points. That's enough for me because you also have to keep the temeratures in mind.

EDIT: Forget to say that I'm using asynchron mode for my clocks. In sync mode I had artifacts with 720 GPU Core Clock...with async everything works fine!

Can you post your laptop type and specs?

Also, did you change anything in the nvidia control panel?

Overvolting notebook GPU sounds somewhat ludicrous :D I have always overvolted my desktop GPU´s for maximum overclock. But i will think ill just keep my GTX 560M on stock voltages (have overclocked it tho to 850 core, 900 seems to stable in some games). Is it "safe" to overvolt these MXM cards?

Nothing to worry about I would say. Pretty safe if you know which voltage/vbios you are applying to your gpu.

I've got a Medion Erazer x6891. It is the same barebone as the MSI 15.6" model.

    My specs are:

    -Core i7 2670QM
-Gtx 570M 1,5GB with Nvidia Beta Driver installed.
    -12GB DDR 3 RAM

Nothing changed in the nvidia control panel.

So again. Try asnychron Mode with SVET's VBIOS Tool and you can get higher core clocks like 780 or 800 mhz core clock. In sync mode my limit was @ 720 mhz.

I don't get 15000+ points in 3d Mark Vantage too. At my clocks it is under 15000 points.

Same specs as mines. And yeah, asnychron mode helped me a lot. No more artifacts thank god lol. ^^

Do you set the memory to 1700 on svet's vbios tuner? When I try putting it on 1700 it says it doesn't support it. Right now I have it on 1400 and use msi after burner to clock the memory up it up to 1800.

Interesting that both your 570m's will not allow you to go any higher without problem's. Out of interest are you both using the 180watt PSU?

My old 570m must have been some freak super 570m as it was just shy of 16k when I had it and I knew it had more in it and Meaker has got it over the 16k vantage mark.

I wonder what my GT780DX with 6990m will do once I install the drivers tonight

Hmz, it will be interesting. The GPU did not like the asynch clocks higher, but if I set it at standard clocks and see what it does asynch alone it will be interesting.

Btw guys what is the acceptable temperatures for 560/570/580M cards in load? Mine 560M seems to be running at around 80c in SWTOR (game heats up card to unbeliavable levels, known bug, rest games around 70c) this is with U3 pad. Sorry to ask here, tried find 560M topic but no luck (google did not give answer either).

Im such a newb on these laptops :D

I wonder also on acceptable temperatures. I even began to combine with thermal paste was IC Diamond 7 Carat, now testing the Zalman STG-2.
I downloaded the lid to bring Notepal U3 using more air, but even though the temperatures are high.

You will have to change it to the half of your clocks e.g. 1700mhz = 850mhz in SVET's Tool.

I think I could go higher in anychron mode but I'm very aware of to high temperatures and loudness of the cooling system.

Dunno what PSU I have. I think 180W aswell.

In Battlefield 3 I have very good FPS rates an that's all I want :)

My friend just bought himself a MSI GT780DX with a GTX 570M and while the stock clocks is good enough atm for him, its nice to know that it does have OC potential.

    im curious...

1)after using Svets tuner...what are the procedures to actually flash the bios, once u have made ur changes....

2)do most people adjust only voltage and/or fan in svets tool...then adjust core and memory thru MSI AB for testing.....and then once finding a stable setting fully adjust it through svets tuner?

    1) Use a DOS boot disk and use NVFLASH or flash it using windows NVFLASH.

    2) That's the best way of doing it. I actually use Nvidia inspector as enables turbo in the barebones.

is there a walkthrough for '1)'....im somewhat computer literate...but would prefer to be spoonfed from step by step directions when it comes to something as touchy as this :p

also, svet says the bios file should be .ROM, but mine is coming up .BIN? is that alright?

okay so i drag my "modorg.rom" onto nvflash.exe

it pops up a CMD window and asks me to press 'y' to go any further

i press 'y'. it runs through some things, says it was successful and then automatically closes the CMD window.

now...im not entirely sure if this is the proper way to check...but this is what i did..

to check to make sure the changes have been made...i went into GPU-z

saved another bios....opened it with Svets and did a report to see if my
voltages were now at .9v and my min fan is now to 45%...........which is all is.

does everything sound good to you so far? or am i making it more difficult than it should be ;)

and rep+ to you for all your help

EDIT: i go into nvidia inspector and it shows my voltage as only .85?

EDIT #2.......rebooted and all is good!

do most people flash their bios with core/mem/shader once they have found their desired level? or do they just manual adjust it with a program, and only flash voltage normally?

i think i might just leave my voltage/fan flash. and leave the overclocking to nvidia inspector

If you boys are after decent bench's would be worth looking into svets bios tool if you haven't done so already and overvolting your card the 570m is able to get over 4k 3d mark 11 and over 16k 3d mark vantage. If you want more with the 570m it's not going to happen you are at it's potential.

mine climbed at 91c at that OC in the laptop without the IC diamond. the other one WITH ic diamond is my brothers and he is not willing to overvolt it so i wouldnt know.

Meanwhile i returned to 85v and will go to 90 again once i get IC diamond for my laptop. performance wise: it is a game changer. new bf3 maps are a bit heavier than old ones so this overvolt was necesarry to keep frames over 40 with ultra settings, aa off, ssao

The chip is, just MSI is the only one who makes it and none of their machines are SLI so they dont put the connector on.

Btw at 825 core I see about 81/82C max in games :D

Guitarmafia it's perfectly safe to overclock without applying the voltage mod, you may reduce the chips lifespan from 10 to 8 years.
