What is the 5700 figure being referred to? I can't find a stock 9800M GTX with a mobile non-extreme dual core mobile scoring that much, even with physX...

5700 is in John's single card vantage link,
Says 4200 or so on that review... so, alot less. In that the 4850 does really well at 4900.
So... is the median score here??? Faisal's score is a good average on his runs, so I think his is a good watermark here... but we need to establish a 9800m GTX watermark standard.

Well the hd4850 scores a 47 on high 1680x1050 in farcry 2... and 37 on very high at 1680x1050
the 9800gtx scores 30 on ultra high 1900x1200 in fracry 2.... 41 on optimal at 1900x1200
Well if you add in reso scaling... im actually seeing the 4850 shine on this one for now.

log into orb and click my results
    click all results
then click make public...but i just looked...your vga shows generic so they wont show.

so what you need to do is screen shot the whole page. it's like 3 screen shots to get it....

    huh? was on the phone.

so what do you mean by what i think?

to me those numbers look very impressive.
it was done with vantage mark which says allot!

means that ati really got with the program this time.

when you get a chance..run far cry 2 in dx10 mode on ultra high settings using ranch long. set to loop 3 times. this will take about 20 minutes or so to run...

    Turbo Mode/Overclocked or stock?

I'm sure you'd get even higher numbers had the 4850 came with 1024 megs instead of 512.

Basically means the GTX which costs about $750 is being equaled by a GPU that only costs $250.(these are rough guesstimates) So people that buy GS/GT/GTX are buying a more expensive card for allot less performance per buck. Which is really foolish. Next is the 260-285 card from NVidia sometime this summer? or fall? but how much is that one gonna set us back by?

It's hard to call people "foolish" when ATI only now is getting the card out in the first place  But still kudos to ATI for getting it done right

apparently not going to set you back any since everyone else buying a gs/gt/gtx for the past few years are "foolish" interesting term... and it's not 260 or 285 it's a g280m.(or so they say)

Just loving the fresh from factory smell at the moment while the recovery discs are being written.
Have to say, although some people have knocked the look and feel, I'm quite liking it. Not too garish, but not bland either. About right.

About the mouse and bag people were asking about earlier, they are funnily enough good quality, not some random crap thrown in for the hell of it. Not exactly top rate uber expensive stuff, but certainly isn't bottom rung. Very commendable. Mouse is specifically a wired gaming one with all the usual bells and whisles that come with said item, which will keep folks happy. Programmable buttons on the side, button to change DPI (400/800/1200/1600), sexy rubber side grip, button to switch modes (gaming 1/gaming2/internet), 4 Way mouse wheel (clicks to the sides aswell), a box with gaming weights (to, I wonder, change the weight) Etc Etc. You get the picture. Good feel to it, nice response.
The bag is a bag o_0 nice, funky colour scheme, tons of space, area to hold laptop, doesn't feel like it will fall apart quickly. Good backpack. Will clearly be using them.

Thx! There already has been a pricedrop:
    http://notebooknet.de/product_info.php?refID=frg&info=p3949_MSI-GT725-8647VHP.html

There are 2 models for continental EU:
    GT725-8647VHP (0017222-SKU2) [That's the "budget" one, P8600]
GT725-9547VHP (0017222-SKU1) [only difference is P9500, no BluRay confirmed, still WSXGA+ glare TFT (1680x1050)]

    price comparison:
    http://geizhals.at/eu/a401473.html
    http://geizhals.at/eu/a400940.html

Another 120 EUR will get you a P9500, still waiting for it to drop below 1000EUR.

Not too shabby actually, pretty good. Clean, crisp. Heard a LOT worse. Again thoroughly impressed.

I'll give it a more better test in a bit. See if we can get some loud bangs going on CoD4 etc.
