    Well, it's weird cus I can only choose between 4 laptops:

    - Standard 2OC (no SSD's) (€1599)
    - 2OC with 2 SSD's (€1899)
    - Dragon Edition 2OD 2 SSD's (€2599)
    - 2OD 3x SSD's (€2699)

    I just want a 2OD with 1x SSD. The prices are ridiculous. I mean I realy wouldn't mind getting the 2OC, but the GPU seems to weak for me. Anybody got any benchmarks with 770M on games?

    See here : Computer Games on Laptop Graphic Cards - NotebookCheck.net Tech

    Like Meaker said before, the GTX 780M is roughly faster 50% faster than GTX 770M. Please know the settings used when testing games on the notebookcheck. They test ultra @FHD, high @1366x768. Does not test high @FHD. The GTX 770M can most likely run all games with a mixture of high/ultra on FHD, while the GTX 780M will blast through it all.

    My advice is getting the laptop based on your needs. If you feel like the GTX 770M is a little weak for you, then definitely buy the GTX 780M. You dont want to end up regretting the decision, believe me, that will end up being very frustrating. Even if you have to shell out a little more. Be happy with your purchase. Hope this helps. If you need have questions about anything else, please do post.

    The built in speakers are good. Best speakers I've heard in a laptop.

    Thanks for the help man. Afterall the 770M indeed is too weak for my taste, I mean, 50% slower than the 780M, that's quite an performance drop. I also heard that the 780M is like an underclocked desktop 680. What card does the 770M peform similair too?

    Anyways, I gues I gonna wait till June and see if they will release an 2OD with a single SSD. Again, thanks for the help:thumbsup:.

    If you check the options from each re-seller, you'll find a $300-350 premium to upgrade from the 770m to the 780m, You'll have to look through the benchmarks for the 770m, and decide if it's worth that amount of money to upgrade.

    ahh... I see...... You might get a better deal on clevo models. They have the gtx 780M too, and are very durable, also less flashy than MSi. Check out XMG by mysn. Its a good alternative to the MSi GT series. But, if I was you, I would still go for the MSi. Just my 2 cents.......

    See here : Gaming Laptops - GenTech PC - Gaming Notebooks - Custom Laptops - Custom Notebooks - Systems
    Also, there are some other links in the first page, second post.

    MSi GT60/70 comes in two models. 20C and 20D. 20C contains GTX 770M while 20D has the GTX 780M. Other specs are the same. When buying, the msi notebooks doesn't offer the upgrade GPU option like clevo/sager does. You have to chose between the two models. What IronSheik meant was that the difference between the two models, is roughly $300. Meaning that the upgrade from GTX770m to GTX780m is $300. US resellers offer 3 models of GT60 if I'm correct.

    GT60 20C-022 : GTX 770M, no mSATA(no mSATA caddy in primary bay, no super raid 2), 1TB HDD = starting price $1399
    GT60 20C-024 : GTX 770M, 128GB mSATA, 1TB HDD = starting price $1699
    GT60 20D-026 : GTX 780M, 128GB mSATA, 1TB HDD = starting price $1999

    As you can see, you can get a GT60 w/ GTX 770M for as low as $1399. but for the GTX 780M, add another $600. Hope this clears any confusion.

    @bca009
    The MSi 20C has the GTX 770M. The 20D has the GTX 780M. All other specs are the same.

    Here's the link for the GT60 : MSI GT60 2OC 2OD Haswell Refresh Unboxing and Showcase w/ Benchmarks - YouTube
    And for the GT70 : MSI GT70 2OC 2OD Haswell Refresh Review & Benchmarking w/ GTX 780M - YouTube

    Hope this helps. :)

    1. Can someone do a battery test on the gt60 or gt70 using only the intel 4600 graphics card? I want to see how long this laptop lasts on light usage. (i.e. web browsing, using microsoft office.)

    2. Where is the cheapest place to buy the gt60-20c 022? Im looking to get a price around $1300-$1350. Also for those of you that know about the $100 father's day rebate, does MSI give you "MSI credit" (that can only be used towards MSI products) back or normal credit that can be used anywhere? I saw a deal here...
    http://www.rakuten.com/prod/gt602oc022us-nb-i7-4700mq-15-6-3gb-8gb/249823586.html?listingId=-1
    for $1366 which is a good deal but the only thing holding me back is the reliability of this site. Ive never heard of rakuten.

    3. Could one of you guys do an fps test on BF3 ultra? I find notebook check benchmarks unreliable sometimes.

    Laptop magazine reviewed the GT60-2OD (780m) version 2 days ago: link. MSI GT60 2OD-026US Review | Gaming Notebook Reviews

    Laptop lasted 4 hours and 35 minutes in their non gaming use testing. The 2OC should be the same for light use testing that doesn't use the GPU. The larger screen GT70 will burn battery faster, but probably not by a lot.

    Clevo is also a good choice but the fan noise may be a little hard to tolerate. The newly released Asus G750 is also a good laptop, decent design, super quiet. But the current $1399 model comes with 765m, you may need at least a 770m if you want to cope with BF3 and Crysis 3.

    ummm..... on default configuration, it comes with HDD 1tb. However, you can add an SSD/mSATA if you want. Many resellers offer this option. There is the windows 8 factory installed on the drive which you selected, so, no, the drive doesn't come empty.

    I have already ordered the GT60 20C-022US myself. I configured it with a single 120GB SSD.

    @83baker83
    There are three zones that you can set colors to. MSi also includes a software through which you can select different colors, affects and I'm pretty sure you can turn the backlight off if not needed.

    @pingz7
    You are most welcome. Let us know if you have anymore questions.

    Hope this helps.

    1. Does the gt60 2oc-022 come with a multicolor backlit keyboard like the gt70?
    2. If the gt60 2od gets around 4hr 35min battery life, would the gt60 20c get around 4hr 45min -5hr battery life?

    1- Yes, both the GT60 and GT70 has the same steelseries multicolor keyboard.
    2- Both models would get nearly identical battery life, because of optimus.

    Should I get the y510p SLI, GT70-2OC, or Sager NP8290 to play Crysis 3, BF3, and Far Cry 3 on high settings? Or any other recommended laptop under 1400$ to play these. Thanks

    I would avoid the lenovo. Not all games play well with SLI. Meaning the actual performance may dip below a single GPU config. Always prioritize on single GPU performance. The GT70 20C and Sager NP8290 would perform nearly identical. Both has the same CPU and GPU for under $1400. I would strongly recommend getting a SSD. All around performance will be so much better than a HDD. Games load much faster, windows boots up so much faster.....etc..

    I would go for the GT70. Better speakers and keyboard. And also, quieter. Personally, I think the 2013 new models Sager, took a step back with the design. The Sager NP8270 is the good old fashioned one, NP8290 is the new design.

    Again, if you can, shell out a little more and get an SSD. It's totally worth it. Just to install the games, OS and softwares. You can keep your personal data on a HDD.

    Both crucial and samsung are proven to be reliable. You wont go wrong with either.

    @bca009
    The MSi GT60/70 has two SATA3 bays. You can opt to go for two HDD's/SSD's. Also, I think you can remove the ODD, put a HDD bay and make a total of 3 HDD's.

    I'm stuck between choosing the y510p or the gt60 20c 022us. The last deciding factor for me is whether the gt60 will have better battery life than the y510p or not. Y510p owners claim 4 hrs and 30 minutes max. Have any of the gt60 owners matched or beaten that?

    That depends on the models. please see below :

    MSi GT60 2OC-022US will have two HDD bays.
    MSi GT60 2OC-024US will have 3 mSATA in the primary bay, and one secondary HDD bay.
    MSi GT60 2OD-026US will have 3 mSATA in the primary bay, and one secondary HDD bay.

    MSi GT70 2OC-065US will have two HDD bays.
    MSi GT70 2OC-059US will have two HDD bays.
    MSi GT70 2OC-017US will have 3 mSATA in the primary bay, and one secondary HDD bay.
    MSi GT70 2OD-064US will have two HDD bays.
    MSi GT70 2OD-001US will have 3 mSATA in the primary bay, and one secondary HDD bay.
    MSi GT70 2OD-019US will have 3 mSATA in the primary bay, and one secondary HDD bay.
    MSi GT70 2OD-039US will have 3 mSATA in the primary bay, and one secondary HDD bay.

    What MSi did was they put a special super raid 2, which is 3 mSATA adapter in the place of the primary bay. this adapter is going to be nearly impossible atm, to purchase as an after market upgrade, since no one has it. MSi just includes it in certain models. If you want one that supports super raid 2, (3 mSATA) you have to pick the model which includes it. However if you select a non super raid 2 model, you'll have an HDD bay in the place of the 3 mSATA adapter. Just like the previous gen MSi models. Hope this clears up any confusion.

    You must have misunderstood me. Its going to be impossible to buy the mSATA super raid 2 adapter after you've bought a notebook that doesn't come with it by default. You can install any kind of SSD in the two bays. Just for the super raid 2, mSATA, which has 3 mSATA ports on one adapter, its going to be hard to purchase this individually. However, there are simple mSATA adapters that can be bought and used in the GT60/70. Most, adapters, unlike the MSi super raid 2 one, offer only one mSATA SSD, while the MSi offer 3. Normal SSDs can be used in any of the HDD bays. If I remember correctly, both bays are SATA3, so you'll get full performance of the SSD.

    You could always upgrade your hard drive in the future to a standard sata SSD and have very good performance. Performing that type of upgrade yourself is the most cost effective solution.

    Upgrading to any SSD (standard sata or mSata) is dramatic improvement over a mechanical hard drive.

    Yes, any 2.5" SSD will work along with any major brand mSATA if the model you order ships with at least one mSATA drive.

    So for the gt60 2oc-022us can a normal sata ssd be inserted into one of the hard drive bays or would an adapter be needed?

    I am thinking of buying a new gaming laptop, but I am torn between the GE60 and the GT60. Both have similar specs, but what I want to know is the dimensions of the GT60 (height, weight, thickness etc). This will help me decide.

    Hi guys! My GT70-2OC arrived today - love it so far! I can't believe how quiet it is compared to my older Sager.

    I have a few questions though, pardon my newbism :)

    I ordered the upgraded 72% NTSC matte display, a $200+ upgrade. How can I verify that I received this screen? Also, I downloaded the HWMonitor program, but it doesn't seem to have my graphics card info there - just the motherboard, processor cores, hard drive and battery info. How can I see the temps of the video card?

    Also, do I need to manually turn on my NVIDIA graphics or toggle between that and a built in Intel video card?

    Sorry if these are silly questions, I'm not very computer savvy :)
