Put 47x on cpu and maybe your cpu will stop throttling... See get higher (physics) then higher overall score.

I am getting closer to 30K, I think I’ll hit it. The MSI mxm 2080 is insane. Haven’t seen a laptop 2080 sustain 2000+ on the core and not crash. Memory is now at +1100!

Not sure, need to download the beta to see if that shows. The latest version I have won’t show GPU in the sensors section.

Is the memory OC actually helping you? these GPUs have insane memory bandwidth, I just have a hard time seeing long term benefit of memory OC of that magnitude, compared to core :)

Awesome scores man, keep it up, become the standard that others must surpass :)

Yes, very nice CPU temp indeed! I am curious, aside from the case mod, re-paste, and thermal pads, did you run the benchmark with the stock fan profile, or were the fans running at full speed?

Thanks man, and agreed! Those are unbelievably awesome CPU temps for the i9, I see the voltages and clocks, and you have given me a goal to attempt to replicate. I also see where others running benchmarks straight from the box are hitting CPU temps in the mid-90's , but mine ran hotter, and hit 96 C simply running a full system scan with my security software....and quickly hit 100 C in the physics portion of 3DMark Sky Diver. At that point I saw no point in testing further, boxed it up, and returned it for similar TIM upgrades. We'll see! Thanks again!

After repasting and tweaking voltage, you will see a massive reduction of temps. And depending on where you wanna go, we can help you tweak it for max efficiency at stock clocks, or max clocks at stock voltage :)

The Ram speed makes any difference in performance? And what is the recommended ram speed for this laptop?.

I have just bought a MSI GT75 with i7-8750H - 16GB - 512GB - RTX 2080. I think tomorrow i will receive it. It was 860$ cheaper than i9-32GB version. So i think i9 version is not worth for that much money =D now i'm wondering that is there anyone that uses all of the 5 ssd slots? cause i want to use all of them. Do i really have to use intel ssd for 4th and 5th slot, anyone knows?

These slots are Vroc Slots. And using anything other than Intel SSD's is only going to net a max read speed of under 3500MB while Vroc can run in the 6000+ range with two intel drives or around 8000+ (Seen as high as 9200+ using 3 drives. 2 Intel and one Samsung - 3rd slot was PCH) But, they still all suck at 4k though. :)

Thanks, didn't know they offered VROC on mobile. Good to know can also use for non Intel SSD. I don't use RAID at all.

I'm calling it VROC since you can only use Intel Nvme SSD's for maximum performance, not sure what the industry standard is calling it. On the desktop boards you need a VROC key to run Nvme raid.

What GT75 SKU has the 8750H paired with the RTX 2080? I've literally only seen the i9 and 2080, i7 and 2070 together.

    How much did it cost?

I bought it from Turkey, it's model code is 8SG-208XTR. It cost 2.830$+tax = 3.340$ ... i9 and 32gb version is 3580$+tax = 4.225$ .. so there is 885$ difference between them. normally the electronics are much more expensive than other countries, but maybe a price mistake, i found i7 version is well priced for Turkey.

edit: now my parcel is on the way, tonight i will test it

edit 2: i checked that they changed the price of it. now it is 3.260$+tax = 3.845$ ... 500$ gain =)

Hey, sometime lurker of this topic here. Can you send some gaming FPSs too along with your test results. I too bought the same thing and probably I am the reason they increased the price :) It’s very far away from the best price compared to US but for this region it was a good deal. I currently work in a country and they are more expensive here or at best on par with these prices. My titan will be delivered tonight or probably tomorrow but I will be able to be in the same country with it only the next week. Very curious how will the dumped down 8750h will perform compared to i9 especially when we are trying to push 144 FPS in those juicy fast paced FPS games and I doubt I can see many reviews of this config since I think many people go for the i9(May be the cheaper i7 version will not even be available in other countries) so your input is appreciated

Also a tip, i don’t know their standard procedure but if you ask the customer service they will send to you game codes for Anthem and Battlefield V since it’s an Nvidia promotion and this beast is equipped with an RTX 2080 :)

Hey guys, the GT75 Titan's keyboard looks a bit small, on my AW17R5 the keyboard is 28.5cm for the main part, from key to key, not including any borders, and 7.5cm for the numeric keypad. Could someone please tell me what the dimensions are on the GT75? Many thanks

I decided on this model to replace my loved but slightly beaten GT73VR. Just placed an order on HIDevolution's website, hopefully I'll hear back soon. I went all in on the cooling mods but left the storage at default, since I have three 2tb m.2s and a 4tb 2.5" to move over from my GT73VR.

I had a G703GX for a few weeks, the i9+2080 were such a huge upgrade from my 6820hk + 1080, but the ghosting on the panel was too much. Probably for the best as MSI has always treated me right through RMAs.

Does anyone know the TDP on the 2080? On the G703GX it was 200w, and it benched just slightly below my 1080ti.

Well my GT73VR finally crapped the bed this morning so I'm anxious to get its replacement. Does anyone have any experience ordering from HIDevolution? My order has been in "pre-production" since I ordered on Tuesday but I think that's pretty normal, sounds like it typically does that and then shows "in production" and ships right after. I paid the rush fee so I'm hoping that speeds things up.

Dumb question probably, but will this work at all with my existing 330W power adapter? It'd be nice not to have to haul the two adapters in my bag to work. I wouldn't be utilizing the GPU much at work , but I'd need full performance from the CPU.

Today I installed 2x intel 760p 2TB in slot 4&5. As if I install any other brand, The laptop doesn’t detect it in bios raid settings. I configured these 2 drives in raid. Everything in bios is good but when I tried to install windows on it, the windows installation detect them as 2 separate drives of 2TB each. I tried every driver for raid, IRST, RSTe vroc and Intel SSD client driver but no use. Any ideas?

The i9 and 2080 version will not work with a single 330W. I mean, it will, and it will boot and you can use it, but the power draw of having both the CPU and GPU will probably overwhelm the 330W.

My Alienware Area-51m was also in pre-production for a few days then it changed to parts on order as they have to order it fro Dell first but in your case it may be faster if they have your model in-house already.

It's best to contact their sales department for such questions and not ask forum members as each order is different and my wait may be completely different than yours.

The power adapters that come with the machine are dual 240W not 330W so be careful. Just order an extra power brick from HIDevolution and put it in your laptop bag. It'd serve you well for surfing the web and watching YouTube videos or movies even but don't expect to be playing games with a single power adapter.

I got mine like 3 weeks ago, I did everything myself, took it apart and installed 128GB Ram, repasted with thermal grizzly conductonaut , applied Fujipoly ultra extreme thermal pads AND I did the bottom cover modification today and I can confirm that these modifications changed the laptop completely. Very quite and powerful. I have 330W adapter, will try it and see what will happen.

Recorded this video today after bottom cover modification

Well, this sucks! I got my PC but the panel in this does the same distracting inverse ghosting with G-Sync that the G703GX does.

    https://forums.geforce.com/default/...hosting-display-issues-with-nvidia-drivers/1/

My non-gamer wife can see it clearly as well so I know it's not just in my head. Goes away when I display to an external G-Sync monitor I think it's something that all these 144hz laptop panels have.

On the plus side HIDevolution did a great job with the build, it runs silent and cool under load.

I wonder if I can replace the screen with the 120hz in the older model, and still have G-Sync.

I had a terrible time getting this to show up well on my phone's camera. In person it's very apparent, basically when moving the viewpoint, black lines like a shadow will appear behind objects. Watch behind the tailgate of the truck. I see this around everything on the screen.

Just to test it wasn't me, have had my wife select between g-sync on or off while I wasn't looking and I could tell if it was on 100% of the time as soon as I moved the scene. It doesn't happen on my GT73VR, my 2080ti desktop or on this PC when hooked up to an Acer XB321HK.

This video shows what I see better, its from a GL703GS but it matches what I'm seeing.

One of the m.2 slots stopped working. My OS installation was on RAID0 on the first two slots.

Well I can confirm now that the inverse ghosting shows up outside of G-Sync, its just less noticeable with the higher refresh rate. My brother in law pointed it and I can see it now on blurbusters.

    https://www.blurbusters.com/faq/lcd-overdrive-artifacts/

We went to Microcenter and tested a few machines. It's definitely on the GE75 144hz as well. At this point, I'm debating either going to the 4k screen or just giving up and getting a couple of decent external monitors for the two locations I'm primarily at.

Did the GE75 you tested have the AUO panel or Chimei panel? They are both IPS 144hz afaik so MSI might be using both depending on what they have on hand. You might ask HID if they can get MSI to swap the AUO for the Chimei if it doesn't have that ghosting / overdrive issue.

BTW, are you planning on selling the dead GT73VR?

Not really sure on the GE75, it was the unit out on display. Good question though, I'll shoot an e-mail to HID and see if that's something that can be done.

I'm going to keep the GT73VR for the foreseeable future, as it will work as long as I don't use that middle m.2 slot and I might need it as a backup if I have to send this in for a panel swap. (Hopefully they could just send me one and I could do it myself, looks like it wouldn't be any harder than the GT73VR). Might be worth a shot to see if the Chimei 120hz in my GT73VR would work in this.

Oh that is a great idea. The panel swap should be pretty easy and in theory it would be compatible other than GSync support possibly.

    I really wish I could find a used MSI GTX 1080 (pulled from a GT73 / GT75) to try in my WT75.

    Hi guys, very exciting machine.
    A couple of questions.
    1) Is there any way of upgrading the previous laptop with 1080 GTX card? Or a trade in etc. Just bought this machine a few month ago, but would really like the 2080 RTX.

2). More tricky question. Anyone has a clue if a 3.8TB M.2 NVMe disk is supported by the motherboard. I saw that Samsung just released this one:
    https://www.scan.co.uk/products/384...x-mlc-v-nand-3000mb-s-read-1400mb-s-write-480
I guess in theory you could then (if you can afford it) have
    3x3.8TB
    2x2TB (the Intel SSD)
    1x4TB. Maybe even 8TB 2.5" disk.
In total this would be around 20TB in a laptop (!).

    1) Upgrades are not possible. The RTX 2080 MXM card uses a different physical format which is not compatible.

    2) The PM983 drive should work. In theory the only thing that may not work would be boot support if the NVMe bios module didn't support it.

GT76 from reliable sources rumored to be LGA1151+20XXBGA GPU and also a LGA+20XX MXM version of GT63(just like 16L1). Coming in June probably.
