I've never known that to be available except directly through a Clevo reseller. If you haven't contacted any of them I'd start there.

Or ask MSI directly if they'd sell just that part out of a $350 USD adapter kit, but I doubt it.

    Hello guys,

If you wonder if Silent option has an effect on the two small fans, it doesn't. While I was cleaning my laptop, I unplugged the two big fans to hear the small ones and make a try. The rpm didn't seem to change with the different profiles.

Could try and hold power button for 30 seconds. It might reset the bios.

Hello! Did anyone tried to install win 11 on our machine? I still have win 10 on my gt76 and I’ll probably stick to it for now. But I am really curious maybe some of you already running win 11.. how is it working on our laptop?

Yes, it's installed since the release. I don't really like it but it's working good

    I love my GT73VR.
The GT75 looks goofy with that palm rest BOLTED on top of the 73 rest like a Hood Ornament!
Suppose you could morph your 73 into a 75 with the $25 piece.
This rig is totally UN exciting

    Hi All,

Thanks to the many replies to my last post about the GT76.

Recently I have had concerns about the power/start button of the device. I use the "hibernate" or "extended sleep mode" (not sure how to call it in english) quite a lot. And when waking up the laptop, it has been several times that it wouldn't wake up even after pressing like 5 or 6 times in a row.

Have you guys had the same problem with yours? Since I've owned this laptop I know for sure this is a weakness of the design, just with the feeling when pressing it I am so scared that it ends up failing.

I just can't stop thinking that for such a high price of the GT76, the material quality and the overall finishing/features are so cheap...!
    What do you think?

    Cheers

I am still very surprised by "Kevin" last reply stating that he never came across a gaming laptop that could be awakend from sleep mode by pressing a random key on the keyboard or moving a mouse connected to it!!
Seems such a basic feature to me, and for instance I used to have it on the Asus ROG G750JW.

I have GT76 and after owning GT73 its feels very cheap if we are talking about materials etc. To be honest its very sad to see a downgrade with build quality and materials. Never had the same issue, but those 3 buttos where powerup located feels like its been made from some aliexpress toy. Its an amazing machine but its not solid anymore like previous models.

Ah cool. Just great. Laptop for such money needs additional amount of money just to make it work as it should.

Yeah, I have already sent it to repair service, because it still has active warranty. They changed PSU and junction box - did not help. They changed motherboard - did not help.

An now I have to think about new PSU from Eurocom for extra 800$? :D I`ll try to talk with service and shop, where it was purchased. If they will not agree to provide me this PSU, than I`ll try to change that laptop to a different one.

Thank`s! I`ll try it and see, if it helps.

P.S. Nope, that did not help either. :D I`ll try to contact service again and talk with them about Eurocom PSU. Otherwise it is an infinite loop until warranty is ended.

You've been dealing with this still since March??? How many RMAs have you done? MSI should be replacing the laptop at this point, why are they sending it back to you if they can fire up a game and see that the issue persists?

Yes, since March. Regarding RMAs - now the third is opened. First has been opened only in October. Prior to that, I was testing it how I can - measuring voltages in my home, analyzing my power grid, measuring currents and powers, checking sockets, checking voltages and power of laptop internals with HWmonitor and other softwares, checking different drivers and so on. In October I was already pissed off, that why I tried to send it to service.

Now laptop will be sent directly to MSI. There are now only two options - laptop change fully or full compensation. I don`t know, to which model they really can change it. If it is the same GT76, then no, I don`t think that "newer" GT76 will not have the same issue.

If they offered a replacement, I'd be asking for GE76.

Does it is possible? I though it is only possible to replace with the same model.

It's all going to depend on what they have in stock. If they have no GT76 you'll go from there.

I ended up buying the Eurocom 780W. Ripple is within the ATX standard (200uV p2p) which was my only worry until I found the number on the spec sheet, and I was sick of the stock DC cable being so stiff. Overall I like it and no issues so far. It is quiet except for a little electrical noise at very low loading. Interesting to see how much power the GT76 can pull. Highest I've seen is a spike up to 415W. Temperature of the Eurocom is <30c at all times (fans spool up at 29c it seems with minimal noise).

With my RTX 2080 being dead with zero chance I shell out the $$$ to fix it, I suppose I should be selling my Eurocom unit to at least recoup some of the costs. Not sure why that hadn't crossed my mind until now.

Might be worth having someone look at the motherboard? It’s unlikely the GPU itself but rather a supporting component. Could be an easy fix if you’re lucky?

Failing that you could look into eGPU as you’ve still got a beefy desktop CPU in there that works. I’ve used an RTX 2080 Ti with my GT76 before to try it out.

So, I have received my unit from MSI. They changed PSU connection block, again. And, don`t know why - HDD. o_O but ok, at this weekend I`ll test the system.

Btw, what would you preffer for your PSU?
