It's not important to make it a marketing bulletpoint. As long as the specs are correct. The only MSI confirmed models that do sport HDMI 2.0 are the new GS series. This might be a case where they copied old port info (since it has the same ports as previous versions) so they probably forgot to change the HDMI version. I already sent an email for MSI to confirm if the new GT73 has 2.0 or what's up.

I have an ASUS RT-AC87U and likewise, performance, latency, everything is top tier. My GT80 generally had good performance but I did notice that it sometimes had issues when constantly downloading super large files for hours, where the wifi card would sometimes get stuck and restart. But this has not happened with the GT73. I downloaded over 150GB of data, all at full speed 200mbps and played a bit of overwatch without spikes or the like, with good latency.

Change SATA mode to RAID, and create an array in the BIOS, you can also take a look at this post at MSI forum.

Are you using the auto-installed Windows 10 driver, the driver from MSI, or a driver directly from Killer?

Yesterday after a two hour BF1 session with my CPU at 4.1 I noticed my CPU temp was near 80. This had me looking at the possibility of under volting my CPU. After setting what I thought I needed I Ran Prime95 and the clocks all dropped to 3.2, this led me to turning off speedstep, which led to the laptop being stuck at a speed around 800. I ended up resetting the defaults in BIOS and I'm back to where I started. Is there a good guide that references a laptop using XTU.

Yeah, that's my post because no one here knew the answer. :D
Install your drive(s). Boot, keep tapping delete until you get to bios. Go to advanced and change the top option (can't remember the name) to RAID. Save and reboot back into bios. Go to advanced and look at the bottom and you will see the Intel storage option now. Select the drives you want to RAID.

@jjp over in GS73VR thread found the latest Nahimic driver @ their site fixed his audio problems, and fixes crackling after Windows 10 updates:

    http://forum.notebookreview.com/thr...vr-owners-lounge.795277/page-47#post-10400008

Here are the links, announcement and download, for your convenience:

Important: you need to install the Realtek version presents in the links below to reduces the noise issue

Got my GT73 in, I'm just messing around with it, because I haven't transferred my SSD over from my GT72 yet.

The first thing I noticed was just how beautiful the screen is. Having the two laptops side by side, the TN panel outclasses the IPS, to my surprise. The higher color gamut and contrast ratio, along with the deeper black levels, really do this screen a lot of favors.

The keyboard is also much nicer, with its chiclet style, plus the RGB lightly is way nicer looking than the GT72.

Having owned all three, the evolution MSI has shown, from GT70 to GT72 to GT73 is seriously impressive.

Nope, 1080p/120Hz matters way more to me than 4K.

I'm of the opinion that neither the 1070 or 1080 are 4K ready.

Not sure but looks like nvidia either pulled out some notebook support and MSI is also in the list along with Clevo or they totally forget to add support...... :mask:

I couldn't doing it following the MSI video because it is done differently now. The MSI video shows the Intel setup coming up in a separate screen after you change bios and reboot and it never would for me. That's because, now, it shows up in the bios itself, at the bottom of the Advanced screen, after you change to raid.

Try this ICC profile and see if you like it. I love it myself. You'll need something like Color Profile Keeper.

Is there a good dock to use with this laptop? I'd like something that supports at least one 1440p monitor at 144Hz plus plenty of USB ports for devices. It's not clear which docks actually support this resolution and frequency.

Also, is there a way to reboot into Intel graphics mode after you've uninstalled the MSI dragon center? I went with the silent option for fan control but the reboot into Intel is the only thing I haven't figured out how to do.

I'm not sure about a dock.

I think as long as you have SCM installed you can use the gpu switch, it's just below the power button.

Try installing Intel XTU. I think that's what cleared up my problem with it. You don't even have to do anything with XTU, just install it.

the driver that came preinstalled, for the time being. Haven't updated but no need to. Everything works.

That's why I wanted your input. I never owned the GT72, but did use it/played with it at stores, and I owned a GT70 and various older incarnations. I was so surprised at the improvements. And I agree the screen looks great. The extra refresh is great too.

And I kinda agree we are not at 4K ready yet. Even 1080p at 120hz will be a nice challenge on some new games I bet :)

Have you tried any overclocking yet?

Hi guys, I've been looking around a bit and I can't seem to find a real answer. Does the MSI GT73VR TITAN Pro with the 120Hz Panel + Nvidia 1080 have GSYNC? I've seen answers Yes and No, and I've also seen videos which show them activating GSYNC through the Nvidia control panel. Is there any vBios flashing involved or mods for them to be able to activate it or is it natively supported. Would love to hear from actual owners of an official response.

It is natively supported, 120Hz panel is G-Sync certified. I would advise to confirm with your retailer to be 100% sure before purchasing.

This is the sweet spot for me right now. Volta GTX1180 might be able to do comfortable 60FPS on 4k with High/Ultra settings but until then - supersmooth 1080p is the right place to be.

Hmm, do they have something in common? Maybe a .net framework that they need? Maybe there is another third program causing the issue. I currently have no crashes with any software. Everything works fine.

So I havent used my MSI GT73 in a while. Now that I am going on a trip I decided to boot it up and update everything. To my surprise I was greeted with a huge drop in my cpu score and shared score on 3dmark and I can't seem to narrow down what could be causing the issue and was hoping you guys could help.

Both runs as I recall were done with only turbo mode on. No overclock on either the cpu or gpu outside of whatever turbo mode does.

    http://www.3dmark.com/fs/10944643

    http://www.3dmark.com/fs/10162068

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Definitely a drop in CPU performance. The 10.8k score in CPU is basically running at stock non OC speeds. Have you tried resetting the turbo mode? Select another mode, then select turbo again to see if it picks up. Have you updated any drivers too?
