    10k with a RTX 2070?

    Very strange dude...

PL everybody is going to hit it, all i7 8750H have that issue with any tweak...
Sending back to RMA after 2 days is... won´t change nothing!

My advice to u all who have a 8SF with a RTX 2070.

A overclock on the "MSI Afterburner" isn´t the same as before. 50MHz = 100MHz in real time.
I found strange that I had 400MHz more in my Core "lol" ofc I had, I was using 200MHz more that is the same as 400MHz in Core. In other PCs, Laptops I ever had this never happen!

    Leave u a print.

Also... I finaly tweaked max I can my CPU and I get this perfomance and no throttle "yet".

Gona to make more gameplays and benchmarks, with time I post my final settings of GPU and CPU!

I never said 10k with a 2070. I have a 2080. Sending it back would fix your issue lol, so it would do something. And I NEVER hit PL, even prior to the BIOS mod I never hit PL.

If somethings funny then even more of a reason to act lol....anyway do what u wish. I’d flat our return it for another if you have only had it 2 days and your confident its a hardware issue.

Yes its kinda funny, because I beat most scores and reviews outhere.

Maybe its a hardware issue as u say OR in worst case its a issue related to ... hmm ... Software? Gona make a clean format!
Anyways my country those rules for return/money or change product only applys IF I buy online.

But I gona contact the store, trying doesn´t hurt right?!
I can´t stay without Laptop, its kinda parte of my work bro!

I will take print. Just finishing some tests, atleast the "power throttle" is gone, temps are up to 70ºC at 3.89Ghz at all 6 Cores more then enough right? Got 1230 in Cinebench. So CPU is sorted out.

    Now I need help...

My GPU is weird. So, Im using GPU-Z and MSI Afterburner, both when Im using the GPU in game or bench gives me speeds in the CORE that are way high of standart. I got 2000MHz and sometimes 1750MHz.

I did underclock it, lol even 300MHz and almost 0 diference in benchmarks, even got better.
What happens to ur graphicsbar "stats" when u are using it on a bench?

    DO u have FC5?
    Or 3DMark 11

Anyone else has horrible back light bleed which is visible even in a well lit room during the MSI pre-boot logo? (not to mention space games/dark scenes etc.)
Looks worse in reality than the photo shows - especially since it has the dark/light/dark gradients along the bottom edge. The photos are corrected to not over-pronounce the BLB.

Looks like this laptop is going back as well... oh well... i have **** luck with electronics recently and I`m returning everything xD (already two GS65 and now wanted to try the GE75).
Other than the bleed the laptop is very nice.

    Received my GE75 8SG.

I haven't tweaked very much at all (basically, just a very very mild undervolt of CPU cache and core -- 40mv, because even going to 60mv seems to make TimeSpy crash in the CPU test; no OC'ing of anything, no BIOS tweaks, stock drivers, etc).

Sintetics benchs shows that a RTX 2080 Laptop is equal to a RTX 2070 Desktop and RTX 2070 is middle of a GTX 1070/1070 Ti Desktop.

    Funny...

Alote new GE75 are getting back, some have power issues, some random errors, I guess this 8SF, 8SG are getting worst day by day in europe!

Hey guys, new to the forum here, figured I’d share my story thus far.

Received my GE75-8SG today in the mail from HID. I ordered it with 32gigs of ram and LM and Fujipoly.

Opened it up and was very pleased with the laptops looks, build quality and screen. I started the process of downloading a million gigs of games before I leave for Africa this weekend for work. As stuff was downloading I noticed that the computer wasn’t recognizing the 2080.

Fast forward to a fresh install of windows and a bios reflash and 2 1/2 hours on the phone with HID tech support and we decided to RMA the computer and start anew.

While I’m pretty disappointed that the computer isn’t working after waiting a while for it I do have to say I’m very pleased that I purchased the computer from HID. They understood that I was leaving for Africa soon and they are getting their hustle on to get me a replacement by Saturday.

Has anyone else heard of any bad RTX2080 cards in the laptops? Maybe I’m just the one in a million haha

Alote problems in MSI GE75 series, specialy in RTX 2080s in Europe, got that feedback from MSI themselfs that are working in a new BIOS update.
Alote ppl complains of some issues.

My personal problem is ur powersupply. Its just 280W. For my version 8SF its very good, but u guys should have 320W powersupply. U get to high powerconsumption.
But ye, not everyone complains. Not sure whats about in the states are happening but in EU we have alote problems.

Lets hope u won´t get any. The Thermalpads aren´t necessary to change dude, only LM. Even MSI says they put high quality pads but ye, LM will be great to lower ur temps big time.

I just saw under the heat sink there is paste there they are not using pads. That is why I'm thinking I should get pads instead of reusing that same paste is this a good idea?
