I say possibly a memory issue, but this is only a guess. The BSOD log file is a memory dump. If the RAM (or CPU) itself is the cause of the error, then it might lock up and and never be able to proceed to the BSOD. I'm not ruling out other possible problems, a memory issue is just my first guess.

I'll double check my Ram tonight but if I have a bad cpu wouldn't that show up as RAM fails in memtest86?

Ran memtest86 and my RAM that previously only produced one fail just topped out at 350K+ fails not even making it through one pass of the whole test. All errors were on test 8 and at the 350K error mark the program became unresponsive and black screened. Upon hard resetting it now will not boot but power comes on but black screen only. Looks like I've got a brick now.

I think if there is a bright side to this, it's that you've definitely found the culprit for your crashing. It's validation of your own sanity, as I'm sure these past few days have been especially frustrating.
Try resetting your BIOS (should be a little pinhole located on the buttom panel of the computer). Also, make sure your boot order is correctly pointed at your primary storage device. If you still can't boot, I think you should be able to reasonably RMA it. Memtest is an industry accepted test for RAM and should not be bricking computers. That would suggest something else was faulty in your system, CPU, motherboard, or otherwise which failed after being stressed. -
What's the 1070 performance like? Decent?

Seems like the new nvidia drivers fixed my problem with TWW at least. Not sure why the previous 4 drivers didn't work for me though. GoW4 remains broken and I think I'm throwing in the towel for that. Apparently there's many others out there who can't play the game either.
Anyone know what size thickness the thermal pads are? I'm guessing maybe 1.0mm? Mine came apart in pieces after just 3x of repasting =/

It's also slower because it doesn't boost the same amount the desktop card does because it's almost at its max power limit out of the box. This is why the overclock is far less effective.
The good news is that Pascal clocks seem to be far less important than with Maxwell. FPS changes clock for clock on Maxwell was higher.
Still, at 1080p 60hz this GPU is way overkill in most games. It's the first time I've had a laptop and felt like it was too powerful for my needs. It can imagine this card/laptop will last me a very long time. -

Eurocom's twitter is asking which system they should put on sale for Black Friday. The Tornado f5 is in the lead. https://twitter.com/EurocomTech/status/798937145524293632

@EurocomTechspert Will the Black Friday sale be better than your student discount?
-
No new updates on my Fangbook4, still waiting. Still has a ship date of 11/25. -
-
Does anyone know whether it's the only barebones option in Europe? It doesn't seem like Eurocom have a European reseller, and the import duties would probably make it not worthwhile.Last edited: Nov 21, 2016 -

Plus the added problems of having to ship it back over the Atlantic if something goes wrong and I have to send it back for service. -

If I buy from outside the EU, the 25% sales tax MIGHT be added along with a smaller import duty fee. The customs officers can't process all the packages coming into the country, so it's done by "random" sampling - and sometimes you get lucky, and sometimes not. -
Anyone know if the Black Friday sale would be a larger amount off than the student discount?

It's a shame Cyberpower have ran out of stock, I was lucky to get mine with an early Black Friday discount about a month ago. -
I'm kinda tempted to return the system, because the display bezel being slightly loose from the outside, not the gap in between it and the screen. Is anyone noticing a small amount of flex and a small gap between the front and back part of the top bezel?

Is there any way of searching within a specific thread on this forum? -

I can't see the Tornado F5 on their website, though, so I sent them an email and asked about it. The plot thickens! -

@UsmanKhan No, you can't.

If anyone is interested I have a 8gb stick for sale in the nbr marketplace section. It's the same 8gb RAM the 16L13 vendors put in their SKUs, a Crucial CT8G4SFS824A DDR4-2400 module

@Eurocom Support
The QS gtx 1070 has been delivered to Eurocom in NY and signed for. I will update this thread when they process my refund for the card. -
Guys, for everyone that has the 1080p display; can you overclock it to 100hz? If not how high can you go?
